Although originally hired to inspect some wiring (fishy smell from wall prompted the call), their tech was able to fix an overheating switch to our chandelier and return service to an outdoor garage light that hadn’t worked since we moved in, as well!
While he wasn’t able to identify what was causing the occasional smell, I appreciated that he didn’t waste our time (and charge for more hrs) by keeping the inspection from going longer than needed and assured us that the wiring was fine after closing all of the outlets back up.

Would definitely recommend and use them again!

A few days after the job was completed, I realized the outdoor plug for our car charger needed to be flipped upside down to work with our setup. Ken's crew was back at my house within hours to complete the 10 minute fix. I'll definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

They were so professional, good-natured and reassuring. Turned out was just a loose bulb in hard to reach ceiling chandelier . They also removed the attic smoke detector because too hard to reach and service! They gained my confidence and I will use them forever now! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to any one!

Call to have if fixed, plumber came back out, leak not fixed. Second call back to have them come back out and was told there would be a charge for a part. I asked why, Mr Paul was unable to articulate an answer and stated he would just give me my money back. This was one of the answers I received. "You know how when you take a car in to get fixed and they find something else wrong with it. I don't know why its leaking!" Unacceptable!

My house needed a full electrical rewiring and knob and tube removal, and after calling several electricians, Detroit Voltage was not only the most responsive electrician, but also had the most reasonable and well explained estimate.

She was fantastic at handling permits and dealing with the city, and although the job took a bit longer than we expected due to city inspection tomfoolery, she was on top of things the whole way and shielded me from all the bureaucratic headache. If there were any mistakes or oversights, she promptly set things right.

The only piece of constructive feedback is around informing me when folks were showing up; it was only a couple times during the finishing touches that communication slipped through the cracks and I was surprised to find someone at my door.

Overall I would *highly* recommend Detroit Voltage; they do great work, have an authentic personal touch, and supporting a black, woman owned business in Detroit is a nice bonus.

I’m located in Detroit and I called these guys about a outlet that was smoking in my home something that we assumed would be a simple fix but ended up turning into a tougher job then they imagined but they were patient, helpful and very respectful and gave me a very good price if you have and any electrical needs in the Michigan area call these guys ASAP
