HOWEVER, last week I hired them to install a RING doorbell & a Nest thermostat. The work was done well, taking less than 1 hour. But they charged me $585.00!!! Cannot believe this ridiculous fee. It was only for services rendered, no parts needed as I had everything! And he told me this was including a 10% discount! Our neighbor asked for a recommendation to install the same for them. After I told them the cost, we both decided we won't be calling them again!

When Mike, the other installer arrived, they coordinated their work the get the job done. Another fellow arrived later to run electrical lines in the attic. When unexpected issue arose, Mike brought it to my attention and with a sheet of plywood and a 2×4 that I had on hand, they were able to make a superb repair. These guys worked 10 hours on a very hot day except for a lunch break. At the end of the day, Kareem reviewed my system’s features with me. He even took time to answer a few of my 6-year old’s questions about what they were doing.
I have worked construction and the effort and professionalism these guys put forward was exemplary. These days it is refreshing to learn of and observe such professionalism. They represented Guthrie & Sons very well. I am pleased that I choose them for my A/C installation. Now if only I could find a plumber and an electrician who are as adept in their field.

Alerik K., Christian, and Jair M. We’re the picture of efficiency. They arrived the minute they said that they would. They provided a written warranty of 10 year for parts and 1 year for labor, contract good until August 2022. My A/C until quit working last week (September 13, 2021) called and scheduled a diagnostic for a week later. When they showed up they informed us the cost for the repair would be over $800 for a bad Capacitor that cost $14.95 at Amazon and that our A/C unit was out of warranty due to that it wasn’t previously serviced. I asked them for a copy in the contract where it clearly lists that the A/C needs to be serviced regularly which they could not provide. We kept all original purchase receipts and paperwork from the first day we hired them for the service, looked and searched for any written instructions on how to keep up with A/C system and found none. We are very upset Guthrie and Sons Heating and A/C clearly aren’t the right company to do business with. We feel our system was never in any way protected as Guthrie and Sons heating and A/C failed to honor any written warranty. I hope anyone searching for a A/C company reads my story and hope our situation help you determine your decision to use them. I’m not a happy customer and would never recommend them for any service.
BTW I am a certified mechanic and work on automotive A/C units. They are no instructions to routinely service to A/C or heating systems on any vehicles, because they’re just isn’t. Home A/C units are built very similar to automotive they do mot require any service unless they fail or Freon leaks out. Just like your fridge or A/C wall unit. They could not provide of the routine services for home A/C unit required because there just isn't any. They are a bunch of crooks and would not recommend anyone use them.

Our technician Majid, was early, polite, professional, smart and most importantly didn't try to sell me on a new AC system, which some guys with white gloves had attempted to do, when I had them provide their annual Tune Up. He showed me why we needed he part he installed, which was reasonably priced. They did such a good job I signed up for the two times a year service plan. I've spent close to 40 years in the residential real estate business, and finding a contractor I can refer to my friends and clients is not easy.

The Lennox Units are top quality, and so Super Efficient that when Juan comes to do the check, the Start up Amps don't register until he resets his checking tool thingy. Ours registers at 2, normal or more non-efficient units measure at 120. (This is what I learned today, and I am not versed on the technical name). Ours has a wifi thermostat, that I could not get to work so gave up. Today Juan and I got both units up to snuff. Awesome. Pic is the week of the install.

He was here from 9 to 5:45 working and taking only a 45 minute lunch break. He kept me informed of what he was doing. He coordinated with the neighbor when installing the drain tube that when in her yard. He talked on the phone to my insurance adjuster answering all his questions. And when he finished the job he showed me all his work and explained it in plain terms I could understand. He showed me the shut off valves and how easy they were for me to use.
The new pipe he installed went thru the attic storage room. It was tucked tight to the wall, wrapped in insulation and anchored neatly. It looked really nice. The access hole he put in the wall behind the shower head had a nice looking cover over it. Even the water heater in the closet looked clean and neat. I was very pleased with how good everything looked. He paid attention to the smallest detail. He also seemed proud of the job he did. Rightly so.
He took about ½ to do the paperwork (his least favorite part of the job- ha ha). Then showed it to me and explained. He had taken pictures that were attached. I was impressed that he did it before he left. It was like the bow on the finished package.

Alice Shen rated it 2/5: I had a pretty poor experience with this company as well. As far as I understand, they contract various technicians as a middle man company. I was quoted $270 for a project (attic ladder misalignment) that was estimated to be more complex than it actually was.

When the fix turned out to take only 30 minutes, there was no discount offered and I was obligated to pay the $270 quote, despite the work being much less than estimated. Furthermore when I asked questions about what caused the attic ladder to bend in the first place, the two technicians were non english-speaking and could not offer any advice on how to prevent it from happening in the future, or what they did to fix it.

Mark Hoffman rated it 1/5: Without a doubt the most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I live in a condo and was looking to get some electrical / plumbing work done in addition to some other renovations I was doing. I reached out to them to get a scope of work and provide me with an estimate / quote. One of their people came by my place where I explained the work that was needed, he took thorough notes on everything and all seemed good until that point.
However after that initial meeting everything went downhill. I received a quote via text which was reasonable enough and and once the work was agreed upon I asked to for an official contract to be emailed so I could sign, put down a deposit and begin the work.

You would think when you have a customer literally ready to sign a contract, pen in hand, and deliver you a check you would get right on it to close the sale. But no, that was not the case. I literally had to call, text and email them for 5 days just to get a contract sent to me. There were multiple calls where they said they could call me back, email me back etc and it never happened.

After trying to get a hold of them on multiple occasions and get basic questions answered and also an understanding as to why this was taking so long I either never heard anything back or was told we'll get back to you. Get back to me? On me handing you a check? Ummmmm okay, yeah that makes sense.

After rounds and rounds of this I decided enough is enough and to go with another company.

Simply put these are just the most unprofessional and unresponsive people I have ever dealt with. If you can't get someone to give you a call back to deliver a check, what's it going to be once they actually have your money?

And to anyone reading this that might be questioning the authenticity of my review, I suggest you try this: Give them a call and simply ask them to call you back at a future date and see if you get the call back. That's it, simply ask for a call back and see if they do it and that will tell you all you need to know.

If they can't act professional when someone is literally waiting to cut them a check, they certainly wont act professional when they have your money.

Egor called with his ETA and introduced himself upon his arrival. Throughout his review of our refrigerator and freezer he was extremely knowledgeable and quite professional. When he can back with the parts to complete the service he had done further research on additional parts we needed that GE no longer made. He was exceptional! We had truly awful experiences with other companies and Egor is now the only person we will call!

Reach out to a few appliance repair company and ECH Appliance (Egor) was able to help me out. He was able to file a warranty claim through LG for a new compressor. Others were quoting me between $1100-1300 to replace the compressor. Saved money on a new compressor under LG warranty. I would highly recommend this company for any appliance repair.

His quote was fair, and let me know he can be back in a couple days to complete the repair. A couple days later, he came back to knock out the repair in less than an hour and left the area spotless. Will definitely use ECH for my future appliance repair needs.

I spoke to Steve and that’s when I learned. He guided me through some steps but we had no success. They came out on time and quickly found the breaker. They installed a new circuit breaker and wire so we can use the heater anytime without having to worry. Professional white glove service at its finest.

One would reset in the normal way, but the other just wouldn’t reset – whenever I pushed it up and released my finger it would go back down. I’d just assumed that it was physically broken. Rudy was able to immediately identify the problem over the phone and gave me instructions how to set and reset it and some other breakers in the proper order, which amazingly, fixed the problem! These guys know their stuff!
