He introduced himself and then explained the entire process. He gave us time to ask questions and happily answered them. He set up in our garage and got to work. After he unpacked the new door panels, he asked us to come look at them to make sure it was what we had ordered. Everything was perfect and he got back to work. Zach worked nonstop for hours until he was finished. When he was finished he did a walkthrough with us to make sure we were pleased with everything. Zach is a perfectionist and it shows in his work. His attention to detail is amazing from the placement of wires to alignment of the rails. He explained how everything worked from the remotes (that he programmed) to the keypads and the myQ app. I truly believe he left our garage cleaner when he was finished then when he arrived! We can definitely recommend A1 Garage Door Service for all your garage door needs and if you’re lucky enough to get Zach, you will be very pleased!

I called on Thursday to get a price quote based on dimensions. They were able to give me a rough estimate over the phone. Eddie was able to come out for an official estimate the next day. As a bonus, they had the shortest lead time for my installation and were only $20 more expensive than the lowest price in town. Everyone else needed at least two weeks to order the door before they could do the installation. Eli and Gene arrived on time the following Friday. They knocked out the job in a couple of hours and were friendly and professional.

Jim Ratchford rated it 5/5: One of the tensioner springs on our double garage door had broken and we could not open the door. Our cars were trapped inside so prompt repair was important. We found Garage Door Solutions on Google and we’re encouraged by their 5-star reviews, their availability and their $89 service call/labor charge, plus parts.
Within a couple hours of making our request we received a call from service tech Richard letting us know he was on his way. In the past this repair had typically cost about $400, so I was initially shocked when our total grew to more than $1,100. I give Richard a lot of credit for explaining and showing why we needed to replace both springs, as well as the rod, bearings, cables, drums and rollers. It was essentially a rebuild of our garage door mechanics, which had never been done in the 38 year history of the house. While nearly triple our planned cost, in the end we felt good about the service and the thoroughness of Richard. The parts costs were high compared to DIY purchasing, but included installation in lieu of an hourly labor rate. In the end, with all of the new parts and a tuneup of both garage doors, we feel like we may be set for another 38 years. We’ll see, but happy for now. 🙂

What really stood out was the additional maintenance to tighten and grease the chain, and also help get our sensors working properly again. I was expecting just a fixed spring but by the time Tyrone left our garage door was working even better than before and about half as loud when opening/closing.

Diagnosed and repaired my broken door cables in less than an hour and tuned up the alignment and inspected the overall system. Totally pleased with the service. My second time having Trotters repair the door and opener. Different issues each time. I am not anxious for my old system to need more work on it, but if it happens, I surely know whom to call.

They came through again today as our door opener went out suddenly. I called at 8:30 and our new opener was installed by 10:30! Now that’s service!!

I called three other companies for estimates and they all disappointed. One even felt like they were trying to sell me a used car. Not the case with Trotter. They did not sell me anything i did not need. Call them first!

The product is high-quality and works very well. The only drawback was on the morning of installation, they were running late. This happens from time to time, but a message or a phone call for being an hour late would be nice. I would definitely recommend them to anybody that I know.

They were able to quickly and correctly troubleshoot our problem as well as explain everything to us in laymen terms. When we needed to replace a part, they had it on their truck and easily swapped it out and left us with everything we need it. If we ever had gate issues again we would call them, though I don't think it'll likely be soon because of how well they did on this service call. We can't recommend them enough and we're very happy with the results. Thank you so much, A+!
