My two technicians (Elijah and Josh) arrived on time, were incredibly kind and professional, and provided same-day replacement of my opener. They were communicative and gave good advice.

We had received one other quote and Summit provided a more affordable replacement. I would go back to Summit again. Thank you, Elijah and Josh!

He never showed up and I am unhappy with that . Before the door was installed I rebuilt the jambs, moved the lighting and cabinets to a location the sales man said would work fine. ( Both my Wife and I were there to listen to the new locations.) When the installer showed up, he would not install until I removed two of the brand new cabinets. Also need to move lighting a second time. My frustration with this is very high! The next part is my fault , thought it would come with external key pad. Never asked never told . So now I must purchase one. If you choose Anderson for your garage door be very careful and follow through completely with the salesman to avoid mishaps.

They were the second company I called after our commercial garage door started making a loud noise.Merely by being ethical professionals, Davis Door Service was the utter opposite of the first company I called.
Look at this contrast!

The first company was terrible. They sent a tech who had to be talked through the diagnosis over the phone and then misdiagnosed our issue, saying we needed to replace the operator (motor) because it was too old. In addition to a call-out fee, they billed us an extra hour of labor for “travel time,” a charge which was *not* disclosed when I called to ask them about rates. Then they sent the estimate to replace the operator to an obviously misspelled email address, and instead of following up via phone, just kept emailing the wrong address! Eventually they sent the $6000 estimate to the correct address.

But thank god the first company screwed up so badly, because that motivated me to start looking elsewhere. Believing we needed to replace our operator, I contacted Davis Door to ask them how much that would cost.

Unlike several of the other companies I talked to, Davis Door was willing to send an estimator out, free of charge, to put together a bid to replace the operator. But when he examined the equipment…it turned out the operator was perfectly fine, with many years of service ahead of it! The issue was actually with the brake system, a comparatively minor repair. Their estimate was approximately $550 to replace them, and they politely suggested – but didn’t push – for us to have a general maintenance/cleaning/replacement of minor pieces of the various garage door parts. We agreed to both services.

The Davis Door Service techs showed up literally the next day, zoomed through the work, got the door to be quiet again, and were knowledgeable and pleasant conversationalists.

Now, I don’t know anything about garage doors. Even though they seemed sketchy, I believed the first company’s diagnosis, and Davis Door Service could have *absolutely* scammed us into buying $6000 worth of motor by pretending they believed it, too.

But Davis Door Service did the ethical, upstanding, professional thing by not pushing unnecessary service on us. We’re signing up to have them provide annual maintenance on our door, and we will certainly go to them first for any emergencies and when major components need to be replaced.

I can’t recommend Davis Door Service enough. They should be your first call.
