He was very professional and thorough and diagnosed a couple of issues with the new pump. He made the adjustments and right now all is working very well. We really appreciated his great customer service and would highly recommend him. He returned today to install a second pump to beef up our water removal system. We have totally appreciated his thoroughness, problem solving, attention to detail , and great work! We highly recommend him and Albert Nahman Plumbing. The company keeps you apprised of arrivals via text message, lets you know if there are any questions, and they worked hard to address our needs on an emergency basis. They were wonderful and we really appreciate them, from the dispatchers to Stanley the plumber. Highly recommended.

I had two simple and quick plumbing jobs needing only two small washers and less than an hour’s worth of labor, and the cost was over $600. If you call Albert Nahman for any plumbing work, make sure to ask them for a quote before they do anything. In my case the quote wasn’t automatically offered up front. Definitely worth shopping around for less expensive service.

Just like their yelp reviews, Element does fantastic work. Very professional, communicative, on-time, and protective of your house. Very happy with the clean-up work of the attic and insulation and then of the new insulation installation. I'm not posting the pictures of how dirty it was after a new roof and their clean-up, but here is photos of everything neat, tidy, clean and with wire guards on any potential rodent entrances from interior or exterior holes.

My blower motor had died and others told me it would take 2 1/2 months to get a new motor. Element came on the day I called them (Friday) and identified the problem, gave me my options and replaced the furnace on Monday! Great service, very nice employees, did the job and vaccumed all the registers and returns before leaving. cleaned up all the dust from the registers as well! I am extremely satisfied with Element Home Solutions quick responser and high quality of the work done.

The rating is, rather, a reflection of the equipment. We had a Mitsubishi 2-stage heat pump installed in August. The cooling function met our expectations. When the temperature dropped to the mid-30’s and below, the heating function did not meet our expectations. We reported to Element Home Solutions that the heat pump required 3 to 4 hours to reach and then maintain our desired inside temperature when the outside temperature dropped. Maintenance workers came to inspect the unit and let us know that the unit was working as expected. Should you decide to buy a Mitsubishi heat pump you should insure your expectations match reality.

He recommended replacing some of our old furnace duct instead of simply taping the duct joints as another company had recommended. His price was similar to the less extensive bid & included new installation. We accepted his bid & the work was scheduled shortly afterward. Two guys finished the replacement in a day & left the area very clean. We noticed better heating immediately. We were very impressed with all of our interactions with this company & will use them for all of our future heating & cooling upgrades. A excellent experience!

Dana Brook rated it 2/5: They installed an air conditioning unit for us. After a few more nuts the unit stopped working. They came out to investigate and hopefully repair. The technician was at the house for almost two hours. Near the end I heard him talking to his supervisor on speak phone. The technician stated that he didn’t know why it wasn’t working, they talked it through for a while and then the supervisor instructed the technician to “just tell them they need to call an electrician”. Then we got a bill for the full time the technician was at the house.
We called an electrician as they suggested. The electrician discover the issue in 5 min and explained in detail how Harry Clark had installed the air conditioning unit incorrectly in two different ways. The electrician was also surprised that the unit hadn’t been destroyed by the mistake.

Never again.

From the initial visit to the installation of my new heater, Comfy was a great experience. Comfy’s initial visit was very knowledgeable and right to the point. The installers Sebastian and Hernan were very professional and kind to work with. They finished the work in a just a day and after they completed the installation, they cleaned up everything which was really kind of them. They also showed us how we could replace the filter and walked us through that process. I recommend Comfy Heating and Air Conditioning highly.

I don’t write many negative reviews, but my experience with Comfy was disappointing and I wouldn’t work with them again.. Before I get into the details, I’ll say that the furnace system they installed works and passed inspection. But before you have them work on your system, take before and after pictures.

After getting a few estimates for a new hvac system, we chose Comfy due to cost and great Yelp and Google reviews. Austin came out for an estimate on Jan 25, 2022, and a team installed the our new furnace Feb 8-9. Here’s when the disappointing communication starts.

We didn’t live at the house, and when they finished the installation, they didn’t contact me at all. I had to reach out to the technicians a day after the estimated completion date to ask if they were done, and they confirmed the work was complete.

On 2/12, I go to the house to check the work, and I see really bad cracks on the wall where they had to cut for the gas line and on the ceilings where they installed vents. I was shocked. They didn’t tell me about this at all. Yes, the walls are plaster, but how dare you leave my house in this condition and not tell me?!

On 2/14, I sent Austin pictures of the cracks, and he said he’ll follow up. By 2/22, I hadn't heard from him, so I called the office and spoke to Angie, who scheduled someone to come fix the cracks. Finally. I would've appreciated more proactive communication from them. I also asked about the permit because I hadn’t seen a permit, even though the installation was done. When I finally got a copy of the permit, the application wasn't filed until 2/22. Shouldn't they get the permit before doing the work?! They need to better communicate every step of the process from installation to final inspection.

After they fixed the cracks, I noticed that they didn't fix 2 other cracks, one where the bedroom vent is, and one where a brand new thermostat was installed, so I texted Austin again on 3/4. He told me the technician said the crack was already there, and that you can see rounded edges in the crack and some paint, which indicates it's been like that. He also said that they had to cut the wall for the gas line but not for the thermostat. Ummm how TF did you guys install one without cutting the wall when there was nothing there before?? BS. I asked him that and he ignored it and said fresh cracks do not have paint or rounded edge. Also, why TF would I be okay with you guys installing a thermostat if there was a crack there? You can see in the picture that the crack starts where the thermostat is. Unfortunately, I don't have a before picture, so take what you will from this review. They did come back to fix the crack in the bedroom though.

One last thing that bugged me — I gave them the payment for the work after they fixed the last crack. Later that afternoon, I get a voicemail from them telling me I have to give them a check. How about double checking with your team first before calling me to ask for a check that I already gave?

I also had to schedule the final inspection myself. Not sure if this is common.

As you can see, my experience with Comfy wasn't great, and I hope this review helps.

I was working with H-Squared Mechanical from South Bay Area who was the initial HVAC company who installed all our Heat/AC for our brand new property. They screwed up big time at our property it was to the point we were paying $6K per visit and they still didnt fix the issue.

I then reached out to Contra Costa for help and they fixed all the issue we had. And the main issue was just wiring! Pete from Contra Costa is great! We love working with him. Hes on time and gives great advice about the AC and Heat. I recommended Contra Costa to all the sister sites I have in the area.

We had also discussed that all duct lining and the line set needs to be changed as per the new specifications for the new unit. He sent a quote that evening, when I initially read it it was missing 2 ducts and no mention on changing the line set. So I called the next day and left him a voicemail that he needs to update the quote to the agreed upon terms. Later that evening when I checked to see if there was an update the quote was not accessable. I called the representative and told him that I was not able to access the quote and his answer was "when prices get changed the quotes are not available" and hung up. All we had asked was for him to update it to the agreed upon terms.

The issue I thought I had was going to be more expensive to fix. But , Gary diagnosed a very different problem and the cost went down from what I expected to pay. I appreciate his honesty and education on how to take better care of my fridge. Highly recommend him and his services.

When our refrigerator at our temporary rental went out, while my landlord dithered about trying to get it fixed, I called Gary, communicated the urgency (I'm pregnant and also have a toddler), and he moved his schedule to come right away. His base price is phenomenally reasonable, and he even came back the next day when things were still not working right – turns out there is a malfunctioning part that has been discontinued wah wah. Either way, he came back again to make sure the job was done to the extent possible, and was kind and communicative the whole way. Honestly it just boils down to Gary being a good person. And those are the kind of people you want coming into your house to help you.

Everything they did from the initial estimate to the installation work to the courteousness of the office personnel to the finish work was very professional. This company has done minor plumbing repairs and major repairs from copper or pex pinholes to installing replacement valves and upgrading water heaters. There is definitely a reason I have kept using this company for about three years.
They also specialize in remodeling if you also need to build back damaged areas.
Zebra6 rated it 5/5: My uncle forwarded me this company, I needed my kitchen sink unclogged. While Marvin was here, I let him know the nozzle to my garden hose was leaking. I had the parts to change it out but wasn’t comfortable doing it. After running the snake in my kitchen drain, he went ahead and just did it for free since it was just an easy swap with his expertise. There’s predatory plumbing companies out there, this is not one of them. No hassle, no overselling, honest and friendly.
