The ONLY thing that I could find fault with was the overwhelming scents from all the cleaning products used. It was a cold day, so I couldn’t air out the house as well as I had hoped. The scents are very strong, but I overlooked it because the job was very well-done, and I feel it was a good value for the fee I was charged.

The weekend before the cleaning, I received two separate requests to move up the cleaning time by 2 hours each request (1pm appoint became 9 am). I accommodated both requests. I told them I would have to leave work to meet the team at my apartment. 9 nine o'clock came and went. No one called to say they were running behind. At 9:05 when Anita answered my call, she said she was 5 minutes away. I waited an additional twelve minutes (mind you I'm supposed to be at work). I could have just left the keys but, I wanted to meet them to show them the areas of concern and what I was hoping to have addressed. I rescheduled with another company. I am disappointed I couldn't use their service.
Danielle C rated it 1/5: Really, just don't go here, but especially don't go here if you need to take a vacation day to let a cleaning crew in. They had scheduled a cleaning for 2 pm on a weekday. When the time came they sent text messages saying they would be there at 2:30. Then they sent a message saying they rescheduled for the next morning. If I had taken a vacation day, it would have already been too late to recover the day. I wasn't available the following day, so I asked them to reschedule for the following week. They set the time for 2pm again. The day of the appointment I got a text at 2:15 saying they would be late. Two men showed up and said they couldn't do anything until Anita, their manager arrived. Anita didn't show up until almost 3pm. She started to flip out because the house is dirty… Ummm….. A cleaning service… Complaining about dirt? I was gracious enough to tell her to just focus on the kitchen. She said that that would take two hours and that there wouldn't be enough time in the day because they are usually done at 5 pm. Never mind that she was the one who was an hour late, and that two hours after 3 is 5… How does it take three people two hours to clean a kitchen? I did it myself, alone after they left in two hours. She wanted to reschedule again, and I told her that if they were going to come back I would rather have my basement cleaned. She looked at the basement and said that she would send two quotes, one for junk removal and one for cleaning. She sent a quote for the junk removal, and a time for the cleaning. I told her that I needed the whole quote. Instead of just resending the quote, she decided to argue about it, and when I said I didn't get the quote, she cancelled the appointment. Not only did they waste a lot of my time, Anita was so rude that I thought that I should write reviews to warn people that if you hire this company, and you have something that is dirty they will probably gossip about you and just be rude about it.

That's when things took a turn, will not be using again, really wanted to work, but not paying for anyone's car pymt. Told me not to text her again, and now wants me to call to discuss? Yet doing police report for harrassment, ? I hope she does so I can file for reimbursement for the $180 I just spent having service come to check for the Roaches she claimed for the price increase, I have regularly service due to flies and stink bugs getting in house, they didn't find anything so was charged since could not proof they existed. Checked all trash bags and my vacuum that was used and didn't find any roaches. Will be reviewing home cameras to see if can see any on video and if I do I will certainly do a updated review.

This company is excellent! I have tried several and this has been the best by far. They clean thoroughly and, given that I am an extremely mess the fact that they can get so much accomplished in 2 hours is nothing short of a miracle. I would recommend them to anyone! In fact I am contacting them today.

I’m sorry if some of the posters on here have had negative experiences with this company. I have noticed some these seem to be employee/employer based rather than a review of the service which is cleaning. I think it is important for employees to be able to express grievances, and I, as a customer take the treatment of employees very seriously. That said, there ARE websites dedicated to employee experiences and I think these cases would be much stronger if posted on those websites. Posting grievances here might come off as vindictive and might lessen their credibility.

Katie Benjamin rated it 1/5: Would not recommend this service. I utilized The Maids when I moved into my new home. The previous owners cleaned up very well, but I heard good things about The Maids and wanted a deep clean prior to moving my stuff in. Unfortunately, I did not get the service I was intending to receive. It was difficult to communicate with the staff, and they arrived with incorrect room layout even though I had talked to the owner a couple times to confirm details. The Maids were only in my house for 2 hours but missed many details (wiping out drawers that still had crumbs in them, sink left with stains, dusty tops of the ceiling fans, etc.). Since the house was already fairly clean, I'm unsure what exactly they did during that time frame. It took us an additional hour or so to clean up what was leftover. Afterwards I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience and not completing the work that I was promised. I received a very small discount and a very rude owner on the phone explaining that he doesn't feel any more compensation is deserved. I would not recommend this company and will not be using their services in the future. I hope this post finds people prior to committing to their services to this company.
Lyani Sostre rated it 1/5: 1. Unprofessionalism: This job is unprofessional. They try to portray themselves as a company who cleans spotless, high quality, and high speed; however, this is untrue. As a former employee, I know for a FACT not all the team members clean 100% with great quality as they say they do. Yes, the team members that get sent out to the home clean with extreme high speed, but many times there’s a lot of furniture or areas that do not get touched as promised to the client. When I worked at The Maids, I was a driver. The cars that we drove belong to the company, we did not use our personal vehicles. As a driver there, I expected the boss to check all vehicles often to make sure they were in good condition. However, this is not the case. There was a time I drove one of the cars and the car started to shake non-stop while I was on the highway. This is a major safety hazard. Anything could’ve happened to the other employee’s or I who were in the car. Another time, the left signal light of the car stopped working. I informed Paul that Friday that the left signal light needed to be fixed immediately because we drove on the highway very often. When I came back to work that Monday, Paul did not fix the car and had us still go on the highway with the left signal light not working. That day we were assigned 3 houses to clean. After we finished cleaning the first house, Paul called the Leader of our team to demand us to take the car to the mechanic. This was EXTREMELY unprofessional of him because that’s not our job and that is not what we were being paid to do for our position. Our job was strictly to go to the houses we were assigned and clean them. Additionally, we were unaware where the location of the mechanics was located at. Paul gave us a vague answer. We took a whole hour finding the place and were still unable to and because we didn’t find the mechanics and took extremely long, Paul yelled at us and made it seem like it was our fault. The leader started apologizing to him even though there was no reason to as it was not our fault. It was not our fault.
Nancy Bateman rated it 1/5: I'm still asking myself what I paid $200 for. I asked for a move-in cleaning after some re-construction work and all I got was a light spray and wipe. I asked to have all cabinets wiped out, extra attention to dust covered surfaces and ended up having to clean it myself after moving in. I have photos to prove. Very unhappy and don't recommend The Maids.
