Even though they were busy they came and looked at my car right away and fixed it free of charge. Within 15 mins the door was fixed. I had gone to another local repair shop and they took two weeks to send me a initial estimate of $1,700. Once they sent me the estimate they were sure to tell me the cost would probably be more once they pulled the door apart? I’m glad I went to Darby’s for a second opinion. Darby’s is honest and good customer service. Thank you!!!

I highly recommended Darby’s for any collision repair. Took my car here for repair(paint job, dents, replacement of my back-up sensor, etc). Only took them 5 days, just like what they’ve promised. Albert Rivera, the manager was my contact person and very efficient, knowledgeable and professional. Albert called to update me on my car repair status. Their quote and actual price are very reasonable and fair. Albert even offered to pick me up at the car rental place(2 miles away) when he found out that no driver can bring me to the shop! What an excellent customer service! I’m glad I picked this company, I actually had an appt from another shop near my home, but when I read the reviews at Yelp and Google of Darby’s, I had to switch to them and so blessed that I made the right decision. Hope this helps! Really honest review here. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs their car repair after collision.

Benjamin, Phil and Chris were a pleasure to deal with. We had some wood eaves and stucco areas that were in pretty rough shape. Your team did a commendable job in paying attention to detail and making everything look so nice. Our newly stained wood fence looks fantastic too. I had received four different estimates and Chism was competitive with the other licensed ones. You get what you pay for and with cabinets I would recommend not going by price alone. Guy out estimator was very responsive and knowledgeable. Our main painters were Victor and Juan. They were amazing, professional, expert painters. We are so happy with the way the job came out! It looks better than we could have expected. Chism has specific painters that do cabinets and it is for good reason. So happy we went with Chism.

Sergio went above and beyond in his painting and keeping everything clean and organized. Sergio hauled out a heavy built-in desk he removed for us. Ultimately I decided I have a moral obligation to share my experience and warn others to stay away. My wife and I interviewed 4 painting companies. Wayne quickly came out to our newly purchased home and made a great first impression. He gave the family-owned small business sales pitch and exuded confidence and experience. We ultimately chose to go with Wayne because of our positive impression of him and his quote was cheaper than all the others. Joel, who works for Wayne and oversaw the project, had his team come out ahead of schedule to prep the house for painting. That's where the positive experience ended. The day before painting was to commence, I tried calling and texting both Joel and Wayne to get confirmation that they could use various Benjamin Moore paints. Our original contract did mention Benjamin Moore but not the specific paint products we ended up deciding on. I never heard back from them. I showed up to the house the following day once painting had already begun to ensure the correct paints were being used. Indeed Joel ordered the paints I had requested despite never replying to my earlier text messages asking for confirmation. Wayne called me later that day to inform me that it would be $700 more expensive to go with the paints we had chosen. It felt very unfair to us that we were charged an extra $700 when we weren't given this information prior to the purchase of the paints and the painting work beginning. I came by the house once Jimmy, the project foreman, said the work was done. I was horrified by the workmanship. Terrible coverage thoughout (mind you we were painting white over off-white so it should not have been difficult to achieve thorough coverage), beyond sloppy edges everywhere, blue painters tape embedded in nearly every edge, paint splatter in our toilet, scratches on our brand new quartz countertops, overspray on our wood floors, kitchen windows, and various hardware. Oh, and they broke a recessed light's spring loaded clips and "repaired" it with a soda can bottle cap – seriously, no joke. We only discovered that fun surprise after the light fell out of the ceiling the week after they left. Overall a complete disaster. We were scheduled to move in the following day. I refused to sign off on the work and tried calling and texting Joel and Wayne. I finally got through to Wayne after masking by phone number via *67. He agreed to send someone over to do touch ups. The first worker to come by was clueless as the what was wrong, didn't even know Joel by name, and started slapping paint of the wrong sheen on areas that needed touchups. Later a new painter named Angel arrived. Angel was shocked by the awful workmanship and said the house essentially needed to be repainted. Angel and his team spent the next 2 and a half days (although his estimate was 1 day) repainting various portions of the house. In the end the job was acceptable after Angel's team completed their work. Jimmy's team's abandoned ladders, buckets, and trash were left in our backyard for 2 weeks until Joel finally came to pick it up. He had promised to come back to drop off the touch up paint that was contractually required but I never heard from him again. All in all it was a nightmare dealing with The Painting Company. Did Joel send out Angel and address most of the issues, yes. But the amount of stress and frustration involved left a permanent bad taste. My take away from the experience is to go with a personally recommended small company or independent painter, not an overstetched large operation masquerading as a great deal.

Anyone can paint kitchen cabinets, but to do it well, it takes a very experienced and knowledgeable team. The finished product exceeded expectations; our kitchen has a new lease on life. Very professional, great communication, and most importantly the painters take pride in doing an excellent job. From Ayala James, who first contacted us, Justin Brown, who came over did a walk through & gave us an estimate right away to Robert, who was on the site and communicated with us with any issues we might have we were very happy. Justin even gave us a separate estimate for doing our patio beams in case we might not want to spend that money on them. The crew were efficient and seemed to work very well together. All repairs to wood & stucco were included in the estimate. Paint samples were delivered & verified before the painting was done. Did a great job power washing and cleaning up after they were done. I would not hesitate to recommend J Brown Painting for a big painting project! We are very happy with the outcome.

I received 3 quotes from 3 companies and J Brown was very thorough with their quote as Justin spent over an hour after we walked around the property making notes, etc. Their price was right in the middle. The most important step in painting is prep. They did a great job with covering, masking etc.. The whole team was very responsive before, during and after the job.

Amanda Jo rated it 1/5: This company used to be reliable but sadly, they are no longer. If you are someone that values your money and actually expects quality work- do not use them. They are so sloppy and ruined my brand new home leaving me with thousands of dollars in damages. We had paint all over our brand new doors, drips all over, paint on expensive fixtures and then they walked off the job because the owner Chad couldn't handle being told what he had done wrong.
Everything was someone else's fault, meanwhile, it was only his fault as he is the owner and this was his work. Not to mention he is beyond expensive for low budget, unprofessional work. If you have seeing problems, like wasting money or low expectations this company is perfect for you but if you're someone like me that wants to actually be HAPPY with your paint, do not use them, sloppy, horrible, home damaging MESS of a company.

The job was scheduled quickly, and Fernando, the supervising painter, showed up early in the day. He was in frequent communication as he progressed to ensure the work was as expected. We had quite a bit of stucco repair needed, and he did an exceptional job. The other worker, Fabian, was similarly courteous, careful, and excellent. They were both highly focused on making sure everything was done completely and at the highest standard. Considering we had the entire outside of the house painted (2 stories with high vaulted ceilings and a zillion windows), we felt the work was accomplished quickly and with minimum disruptions. Todd checked in most days to inspect and to check on our satisfaction, and was always listening and communicating. There was not a scrap of paper, tape, or other waste left behind. Got me in touch with a team that could fix some dry rot on my eaves. Within two weeks of my approving the quote my house was repaired and painted.
