First, the door to door salesman stated the company would send someone out everyday if called and the advertised plan was not limited to once a month maintenance or service call. Considering Ida had caused a lot of damage in my area, I figured why not?

Communication between the call center and the local office is nonexistent. I have made requests for 8 weeks that were not addressed nor have I received a follow up call from the office manager as promised. I have paid out of pocket to pay for additional commercial grade insecticide and application due to their ineffective treatments.

The autopay and their one technician, Leland as mentioned before is the only thing consistent to come out monthly. I wouldn't recommend this company.

The techs that have come out to the house, from the very beginning for the termite inspection when we purchased our home were very respectful, knowledgeable, professional and personable.

I was over charged on my account for my renewal as well as being drafted monthly on my account for it. They refunded me my money back but that took over a month to get corrected. They contact you to have a exterminator come out without scheduling with you and when you leave a message stating that their is a conflict in scheduling, no one gets that message and they send their technician out anyways. After my contract is over, I will never use this company again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

They give off very lazy vibes. I had a termite inspection as one of those visits and the man straight up asked me if he even needed to look around or if he could just say he showed up and leave… they have YET to exterminate the bugs after 5 visits in a month, including a 6th from August. So today would be 7th visit for the same issue that they're not helping with. The best experience I've had with them is when the manager, Victor, came out himself after 2 cancellations the morning of days they were scheduled to come out. I mean the workers don't want to be here and it shows. They stay for max 5 minutes after showing up late. (Late every time.) I manage the home they come to and the appointments, so the account would not be under my name…before someone comments saying I'm not a customer.

That said, it's been 6 months and I'm still hearing scurrying in my attic every night. I've been told that these things take time which I understand but at this point I would love if further recommendations would've been provided or perhaps a change in methodology such as laying traps vs poison. I also would've appreciated them educating me on how beneficial hiring a professional for an exclusion could be instead of constantly being told I need to locate and close entry points myself, especially when I later discovered that this is a service they offer. Looking at the company as a whole, this makes me feel like they are more concerned with having the monthly contract vs actually eliminating my problem. Due to these reasons I cannot currently recommend them for rodent extermination and look forward to switching companies when my contract is up.
Update: After posting the above review I was contacted by the company which was a pleasant surprise. Again, the customer service is excellent. The person I spoke with was not only empathetic but took action on my behalf. Someone came out shortly after who was able to offer me a really simple (& FREE) solution to my problem which appears to be working!! Its unfortunate that it took all of this to finally resolve the issue but i'm just so grateful to no longer hear rats running around in my ceiling and walls all night. Fingers crossed that it lasts!

He called to let me know he was efficient and answered my question about timing of weedkiller. All were very courteous and never rushed questions. Jimmy accommodated my slow eradication of vegetation in planting bait stations so that protection could start now with plan to plant last stations when weeding was finished. Jimmy could offer personal experience about digging up canvas and where to find steel tanks and weed killer temporarily not available in nola. Both Cameron and Jimmy took my checks for spent which is another efficient step. In comparing prices I left vm for Jeff Armstrong's exterminating since he sold his business 19 years ago to a family he had know for 30 years- the owners of Pied Piper. He had high praise. I am just getting started with Pied Piper but certain that I am going to recommend them toy son and his girl friend.

Technician came out to do treatment for termite contract and suggested we reschedule because the ground on one side of my house was really wet due to recent rains, and he was concerned it would dilute the treatment. Wasn’t helpful & their services were a waste of money. Nothing they did worked, considering they pretty much did nothing. Al’s just put one box outside & sprayed poison….. Never looked for holes at all. Went with another company and they are so professional and helpful. Everything opposite of Al’s. Go with LaJaunies!!!!

The cost was very reasonable and affordable as opposed to the other 5 local companies I called. Prices from the other services ranged from $350 – $750. I told them it was a raccoon not a Tyrannosaurus. Amazing they can charge this price, but you need them, they don’t need you!!
I had a pet raccoon years ago, raised him from a baby, so I was torn whether to call someone because Louisiana law requires ALL captured animals to be euthanized, regardless of the health and/or situation. How archaic is this State. Since he was injured I had no choice but to call, knowing the end result was not good. I hope they change these laws at some point.

Rabies and Distemper are the two main reasons, but the last known case of rabies was 20 years ago, if not longer. I don’t know about distemper, but maybe it would be helpful in the White House, lol.

Ryan was very professional and caring. I was able to tell immediately that he has a passion for animals regardless of the species. People are not the only living beings that experience happiness, pain, emotions, and bonding.

We caught two possums, and later a racoon. No more issues. Ryan is a great guy. Very professional. I'd refer him to anyone in the area with wildlife issues of any kind!

Bait was set out (which didn't work) so it was switched to a different bait. Apparently there were just several random holes in my brick. We sealed off all the holes and the main one he said they are entering from.
After thinking I didn't hear anymore activity, I was wrong, they were trapped in the attic/wall. We unsealed the hole so the rats could get out. After what I thought again was a period of hearing no rats we filled the hole with steel wool and closed it with chicken wire. Thank God we didn't cement it yet because there is at least one lone ranger rat in there as of today (Jan. 20th). I am leaving this review because I first contacted Gulf Cost Nov. 6 and my issue is worsening since then. I will have to reopen the hole…again…because the rat is trying to chew through the wall so it can get out. Very very disturbing sound…all night long. I paid $650 for some kind of peanut butter bait the first time and some gel bait the next. Not one trap was ever set to catch these rodents and ensure the issue was eradicated. I am giving a one star solely because my issue wasn't taken care of. The only time an attic inspection was done was on Day 1 to see what the rodent may be. Their advertisement says 100% satisfaction guaranteed. Removal of rats, etc. They were never removed just baited to leave…. which all haven't left.

Got a recommendation from a neighbor for Mosquito Joe. Called them and Marla had Howard scheduled to come out within 2 days. Howard cleaned the system, fixed a broken line, replaced nozzles, refilled the drum, and taught us how the system worked. Would HIGHLY recommend them!!

If you're even kinda in the fence about it, do it! I live right by a drainage canal and the mosquitoes all but picked us up and carried us out the pool.

These old NOLA homes have had a century of old termite damage and Winchester-esque additions, but Rodney did not let that stop him from shimmying into 3 attic spaces like a gymnast and the ridiculously short crawl space that personally terrifies me. He inspected every interior space despite the fact that we are in the midst of major renovations. Professional and extremely thorough, plus… icing on the cake: he warned me that he saw a water leak under my house! Mercedes No rated it 1/5: Hey Billiot truck number 06! Cutting people off in heavy traffic, speeding on residential streets, failing to signal lane changes, and just generally driving like an aggressive a$$hole in a company vehicle is a simple way to advertise that your company can't be trusted.

It's not difficult to insist upon respectful values in your employees and teach them to drive with care for their fellow citizens (at the very least) when they represent you in the trucks with your logo on every surface.

Seems like either you don't take the time to educate your drivers on their responsibility to you, or you don't care enough about the community you serve to communicate to employees the importance of basic human decency and safe driving.

In any case, I'll never use your services and I'll make sure everyone I know doesn't either.
