I recently used Attic Pros to remove 40 year old insulation from my attic and install new fiberglass blown in insulation. I went from 2 inches of compacted cellulose insulation to 12 inches of fiberglass. They also cleaned the attic space, sealed all penetrations, sanitized, installed rodent screens. Job well done. Excellent workmanship. This is the company that you should definitely consider if you need this type of work performed. Luis, the foreman, and his two person crew (I didn't get their names) worked extremely hard in a very hot attic. Can't say enough good things about them. I definitely recommend them.

Asad was very professional & courteous and gave me a very fair proposal. Omar, Mynor and Angel performed the work and were precise and competent. Omar explained to me the entire process and gave me before and after photos upon completion. I was impressed they installed protective padding on my wood floors and clear plastic on my interior walls before commencing work. I’m happy and will refer my friends & family to AtticPros. They provided a thorough explanation of what was happening and what would be done to alleviate the issue. They also provided us with an option that would save us money, while not impacting quality.
When the technicians came again the whole crew were respectful, friendly but what we appreciated most was the professionalism. They did not get impatient with our concerns. They found areas to treat that were not identified earlier by us. We had areas that we were unsure that they would identify and they had treated them before we asked.

Additionally they left the house cleaner than when they arrived.

They found evidence of rodent activity in a packed closet near the kitchen that we weren’t expecting to be part of the process, and they carefully removed everything that was piled in there (a lot!), cleaned with care and then put everything back and let us know we’d be wanting to clean the clothes and things before we did anything else with them. It is important to me to do things like this right the first time, and their attitude, focus, efficiency, thoroughness …and 3 year guarantee made me confident that they feel the same way. What. A. Relief! Very grateful.

Jessica Dines rated it 1/5: They came out to give me a free estimate. I was interested in getting my attic sealed and rodent proofed. They recommend new insulation and rodent proofing for $7 grand. Told them I'm just interested in rodent proofing, was willing to pay $1800 for it, as that's what they said it would cost. They ghosted me. Companies like these just ignore customers who don't want huge jobs done because it's not worth their time. I emailed and called saying I wanted to move forward with rodent proofing only. Their receptionist Rose said she'd get back to me with the new estimate, and that it might be more than $1800 because $1800 is discounted since it's bundled with new insulation. Bad customer service and a rip off. Do not recommend. Found a local handyman who is going to help me for a fraction of the cost.

-When I moved back to Oakland, I was still using my old Pest Company, well a “sister company,” since they didn’t have service in Oakland. That was a disaster and I soon moved on to Omega T&P. I figured when in Oakland, I might as well keep it local.
-From the 1st phone call, through my actual service call and all my service calls with the SAME tech – my experience has been extremely positive! This company is professional, efficient, friendly and priced fairly compared to its competitors.

Paul Battaglia rated it 5/5: In my 30+ years as a homeowner I've always been able to solve my problems with ant invasions in my house using ant bait from a hardware store. But in 2021 the ants came to my Oakland Hills house and they were not stopped very long by every bait I could buy. They always came back somewhere else in my house, sometimes marching through my electrical sockets! So I called Omega Termite and Pest Control and William their technician came out and applied a spray around the house. He also educated me on what to do, and what not to do for ants. (I did all the NOT TO DOs.) William has applied two treatments in the last 5 months, the last time was 2 months ago, and his work has been really effective. The company offers a reasonably priced maitainance program for ants that is very flexible in terms of scheduling according to what your house needs. I highly recommend Omega Termite and Pest Control for your ant problems. William is awesome, but I assume their other techs are also!

We opted for complete inspection and they charged us over $400. But the inspection has no detailed info and not a single picture. pretty disappointed with them. we had a much better inspection report in disclosure and the bill attached was less than half of what Omega charged us, I would not recommend their service.

The phone vml was full so I sent a quick email which resulted in a return call about an hour and a half later. To my great relief, Gene came out that day and thoroughly inspected my apartment. He was professional, nice, and took his time with the inspection. Luckily he did not find any evidence but left me some bug traps just in case. I also had Terminex, another local company, and Orange Oil come to take a look. Times Up Termite was the only company to come on time. Times Up readily explained each problem and I felt VERY informed when they left. I told them problem areas that Terminix found, only to find out that it was water damage and not termite damage. I looked it up online at the end of the day and confirmed everything Times Up told me. I will trust Times Up Termite every time I suspect termites and recommend them to everyone!

Edgar, the inspector, immediately identified where the dastardly drywood termites were doing their damage, which was very impressive. He took the time to explain their process and options for extermination which I really appreciated.
allan smith rated it 1/5: We had Times Up repair some termite damage on a house we bought in Fremont. This picture is how they left the house – completely exposed during rainy season. To compound matters they failed to tell anyone they were leaving it in this state, so we got water and mold damage. (And at the time we had a 3 year old and my wife was almost due with our 2nd – this became a pretty serious health hazard for my family quickly.)
When we pursued a remedy with them, they completely hid behind their contract language, changed their story several times about who they spoke with and what work was agreed upon. Maybe others have had a better experience, but I'd be VERY cautious giving these folks any business. I found them to be completely lacking integrity and doing everything within their power to blame anyone and everyone rather than just admit their mistake.

The communication was very poor and unprofessional. I switched to valley view pest which was much more reasonable and easy to work with.

This raccoon was making a mess and leaving its waste everywhere. I tried a couple pest control companies and had almost given up until I found Wildlife Removal Oakland. Mario showed up at my door in a couple hours and set a trap on my roof. The next morning the raccoon was caught and safely removed. It was nice to know that there is a company out there that provides this kind of service for raccoon removal because I do not know what I would have done. The other places I called seemed to disregard me on the phone, but not you guys. Thanks again for doing a great job!

Yet the inspector went beyond the details/scope of a pest report in the inspection. The inspector even said in the report itself that it was beyond their scope! "The conversion of the garage to useful space is beyond the scope of the inspection." So why step outside of your scope and put that in a pest inspection? The work being done was rehab due to prior tenant/roommate damage but again this is outside the scope of what the report was supposedto entail.
The inspector also called out what I believe to be old remnants of pest activity from before the home was tented and fully fumigated to ensure no more pest activity. I will be looking for a second opinion to ensure that this is a new problem.
The fix/remedy for this pest "activity" is of course thousands of dollars in spraying which they could provide the service for.
All other items in the report appear to be valid and will be followed up on.
The problem that I have with GT beyond going outside one's scope of inspection is "needed" repairs that are called out and fixed by the same company as conflict of interest could potentially be an issue. Something to be mindful of.
Helen Lee-Righter rated it 1/5: I had them do a sidewalk inspection which I failed and scheduled repairs. Due to rain, I was concerned about delays and asked them about it. Chris said it was possible, and I asked the day before if we would still be able to start. The day of, no response, workers were supposed to show up between 7:30 and 8 am. I tried calling the office and emailing Chris, but no response. I’ve scheduled another inspection with a different company.
Update: got a hold of Chris, and he told me the construction crew was behind due to other project delays. Now demo is happening today OR tomorrow. And concrete the third day instead of it all happening today as originally planned.
