ruth eisenhower rated it 5/5: In the past, I have had great service from Applewood employees, and I expected no less this today. However, today, Milo Sandoval superseded all expectations I had for my heater maintenance appointment. Milo was so pleasant and informative, offering suggestions on how to best maintain my heater (and plumbing) in between appointments. Additionally, he offered memberships for cost savings, and answered all my furnace-related questions related. Not only do I feel ready for winter but am also prepared to take care of that monster in the crawl space until its annual service next year. I am filled with glee by the effort and insight Milo provided. His professionalism helped turn a task that I typically put off as long as possible – into a very pleasant one.

  • Valentin Sanchez rated it 5/5: Our water heater went out suddenly making a mess. We called Applewood Plumbing and they had someone in route within an hour. The technician Brian N. came out and explained everything to us and gave us the available options. It was too late in the day to replace the hot water heater, but he was back out by 8:30 the next morning and removed the old heater and installed the new one in just 2.5 hours. The new heater now has a tray underneath it that drains to the floor drain and a water alarm installed in the tray to warn if there is a leak. Brian was very courteous, professional and knowledgeable and did the job quickly and efficiently. Overall an excellent experience with Applewood Plumbing and with Brian. I would be comfortable recommending them to anyone I know.
  • Tayler Dolly rated it 5/5: Brian was on time, friendly and so helpful!! Great job and will always use Applewood for services! We had a new 240v outlet installed in our garage for a vintage power tool that needed a different type of socket than normal and he was great and quality work!
  • Emily DeMars rated it 5/5: Both times that I’ve used Applewood, I’ve been incredibly impressed with the professionalism and friendliness of the technicians. The people setting the appointments on the phone seem to be humans who actually enjoy working with the public. I needed an emergency response and they kept their appointment on time within only a couple of hours of my call! Very impressive! I’ve heard they run on the expensive side… but I believe sometimes you get exactly what you pay for. No nonsense, fair & thorough explanations of the work needed, appropriate behavior in the home, fun attitude while working. Loved it. As much as a person could love a surprise plumbing bill.

Dwayne Swanson rated it 5/5: Michael spent a lot of time making sure the installation of our new furnace was perfect. He was at our house for at least 5 hours making sure the vents fit properly and ensuring it was a good job. He installed a current-code vent pipe in our hot water heater. He went above and beyond. Before starting the job, he laid down carpet runners to protect the flooring. After he was done, he spent time showing us how to maintain the furnace. He did a fabulous job!!!

  • Mary Ann Hawk rated it 5/5: Brothers answered my call instantly. Brenda was very helpful and sweet, at 9:45 PM. The promised time slot the following day was met and very much appreciated – especially since my previous promised time slot with a different company had been repeatedly put off – for 3 days!! The technician who handled my call, John Morgan, was superb! He was professional, very kind, and thoroughly skilled! He replaced the old, failed 30+ year-old outdoor faucet and got my water supply turned back on. He also replaced our 30-year-old garbage disposal. All done with ease and excellent clean-up after. He was backed up by their parts department. He wanted to install the exact, correct size pipe; which, at his request, was delivered by them within the hour – straight to my door. My Covid preferences were followed as well. Brothers has just won over a new customer. Thank you, thank you!!

  • Penny Thomas rated it 5/5: Install new whole home humidifier on furnace. Mark even arrived a bit early which was great. Gave me a great overview with pricing so the decision to move forward was an easy one. He was able to locate the model we decided on and install it the same day. Because of the age of our furnace there were some electrical issues which he was able to resolve for a completely successful installation. As a side note, this is not the first time we have used Brothers. They also did an amazing job on a huge mitigation project.
  • Erika Alvarez rated it 5/5: Had a leaking water heater. Called and had a technician, Chuck, available to come out within a couple hours of my initial call. He inspected the issue and discussed the diagnosis. Answered all my questions and was extremely professional from start to finish. Did a great job with installing a new water heater. Excellent service!
  • Kayla Goldstein rated it 3/5: The more ive seen the work the less i am satisfied. There were old trash pipes left inside and outside, the dishwasher wasnt screwed into the cabinet. The worst part is that Cody didnt have enough materials to fully finish the job so I had to go purchase hose extensions to make the final product suitable and finish the installation myself after he had already left. Just did not do the full job and it was not the cheapest.

    I reached back out to brothers to have them come fix it so the pipes went along the side. A different technician came out and he did a great job. Added pipe and although he did have to use the extra material I purchased, which is ridiculous that i had to do that, he made the pipe go along the outside of the cabinet and fixed it to my standards. He tested the dishwasher to make sure it wasnt leaking and really made the job how it should have been done the first time.

Noah Yoshino rated it 5/5: Rick Smith is professional, listened well, was upfront with costs and did great work. Couldn’t be happier with this company and it’s service members. I saw literally, one bad review and I am sorry that a person did not have the same experiences I have had. Very respectful. Danny can in with his shoe protection and asked to see if every drain and and even though only one needed work, I appreciate the due diligence on his part to get my satisfaction. If there was anything lacking previously, I’m sure this owner has met the challenges to get this team on board with excellent service.

He was super friendly and answered all questions that I had. I would recommend this business and will continue to use them going forward!
  • Matt St. John rated it 1/5: I will not do business with A Better Plumber ever again.

    I contacted A Better Plumber for an emergency water leak of my water heater and my indoor water main valve. They came out the next day to help me shut off the water and started repairs a day after that. The water heater was overdue to be replaced and so was the valve. They sold me a new tankless water heater, a new shutoff valve, a pressure reducing valve, and an inline filter. The total cost was just under $13,000. The installers were professional, the work was good, and the job was done in about a day. I thought the price was a little high but the job was done well and done quick so I let it go. I was a little bothered when they pressured me to sign a document waiving my right to cancel the job within three days but since the job was complete in under three days I let that go, too.

    I also had a potential sewer issue marked on my inspection (I recently purchased the house) so I asked them to take a look. The person they sent out to inspect the sewer took one look and immediately said all of the cast iron had to be replaced because the additives they put in our food corrode cast iron and if I don't replace it right away it will leak beneath my foundation and cause major problems. He also said the plumbing leading to the cast iron (the "main stack") was outdated and needed to be completely replaced. The estimate he sent to replace the main stack plus 20 feet of interior sewer line was $12,500. I was uneasy with his hard-sell tactics, pushing for immediate repair and pressuring again to have me waive my right to cancel. I decided to call another plumber for a second opinion.

    The second company says there isn't any clear damage to the cast iron. They offered to do a cleaning for $350 before inspecting again. If it truly needs to be replaced they said it should be around $8000 at the highest. They also said that the main stack was clearly recently replaced and in good condition. They ran scopes around to inspect it as well, which A Better Plumber didn't do.

    I did some quick searching to find pricing for the items A Better Plumber installed in the first job vs what they charged me. Here's what I found:
    * Navien NPE-241A2 Tankless Water Heater – Google: $1900 – A Better Plumber: $9599
    * Halo 9 Inline Filter – Google: $500 – A Better Plumber: $1800
    * PRV-100 Pressure Reducing Valve – Google: $200-$500 – A Better Plumber: $1398.99

    My opinion: They did a good job. They charged a LOT of money. They tried to upsell unnecessary repairs. I will not do business with them again.

    Edit to respond to Jeff, the Owner:
    When I had the first job done, I was impressed by Beau and Jimmy's work. They were professional, they seemed to know what they were doing, and they got the job done. I felt uneasy at the cost but I understood it was a quick response and, in general, I'm willing to pay a premium for professional work. The prices I listed above come straight from the invoice they gave me. There was no separate line item for finance costs. That was advertised as 0%. (No mention of any added fees)

    For the second job, your man Jansen came out. He told me that additives in food will rot cast iron, especially if it is right below the kitchen. He told me that the main stack was clearly original and had to be replaced (it was actually a replacement for the original cast iron, in good shape, and the next plumber showed me how to tell). He told me within seconds of the scope hitting the pipe that it was "bottomed out" and clearly needed emergency replacement. He never mentioned cleaning or further inspections. He also pushed me to waive my right to cancel even though the earliest he could start the job would be four days later. It was his hard-sell used-car-salesman tactics that soured my opinion of the whole business and led me to question all of the work done up to that point.

    My bottom line is that the first job was a good job and it was incredibly expensive. Other people can look at the numbers and decide for themselves. The numbers are straight from the invoice.

Alex Sor rated it 5/5: David Pierce was phenomenal in every aspect. Customer service, professionalism and knowledge was great in every aspect. He made the process super smooth and friendly and made the whole ordeal feel like it was a family friend coming to help fix the plumbing issue rather than someone i hired! 10/10 all around.

He took the time to explain everything that was going on both with the repair and how the system was set up in general so I could understand my new house. He went way above and beyond to look at different aspects of the plumbing/sewer systems and explain what we should keep an eye out for over time. 10/10 will call again!
  • Jim Whitbread rated it 5/5: Jason came out on Wednesday to perform a Jetting service that was recommended by the prior technician that was here on Tuesday. Upon inspection Jason deemed that the jetting service is not what was appropriate for our sewer line. I was very annoyed but I will tell you Jason handled this with professionalism, courtesy and empathy. He took it upon himself to schedule a technician to come out on Saturday to perform the work that needed to be done. Ian showed up on time on Saturday and was very professional, thorough and extremely nice. He walked me through everything he was doing and did an excellent job cleaning out our sewer line that had a great deal of root intrusions. I would recommend Roto-Rooter to everyone I know that has plumbing needs.

  • Jessica Salazar rated it 5/5: Fast Efficient and explained in detail. Excellent I called they were their within an hour and job was pretty big done in 2 hours which was Awesome. Best service ever!! wow I would recommend them. It was a little pricey to me but never had a job done so quick and attentive to my homes needs.
  • Kyle Ellison rated it 1/5: Called around 230 pm on a Sunday & was given a time between 4-8pm arrival. At 740ish I called asking if they were still coming and I was next on the list. At 930pm I asked for an update and was told I was still next. At 1130 pm they called and said it will be another 3-4 hours and I can reschedule for the next day for $75 off. They arrived at 830 am and unclogged the drain from my sink to the sewer line, 15 min and a $450 bill. They did honor the $75 off and the technician Forty was great. He was super professional and helpful. If you are okay with a steep bill then during working hours I would recommend. Outside of regular hours I would never use this company again.

  • Evan Lentz rated it 5/5: Jay provided excellent customer service and was patient with my being in and out of calls throughout my workday from home. He was able to quickly identify the issue as not being kitchen sink drain related but rather with the line that ran up into the pull-down faucet. In addition he explained some additional measures that could alleviate at least one of the factors contributing to the kitchen sink issue and some problem areas elsewhere in our plumbing throughout our new home. We signed up for the monthly service as they were incredible on the phone and in person and the fee for the plan goes to charity which is great! 10/10, amazing customer service and cannot wait to work with Jay or anyone else in the future!
  • Matt Booren rated it 5/5: We were really impressed with everyone we worked with at Dr. Fix It! Mike V. was our point person; he was knowledgeable, responsive, and available every step of the way. Every service technician, electrician, and office team member paid attention to every detail. We love our new system, feel safer now based on the electrical work, and overall are tremendously satisfied. We plan on using Dr. Fix It again for future projects, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
  • Tyler Alpern rated it 5/5: Matt did a very thoughtful and careful installation of a new boiler that had a lot of unique and tricky unconventional complications due to the site. He had a great eye for detail and big knowledge base so that he could troubleshot and solve all potential problems. The county inspector said how impressed he was with the work which gave me extra peace of mind that it was a job well done and money well spent. New boilers are like spaceships compared to the old one that was replaced.

  • James Hall rated it 4/5: All of the workman did an excellent job. Only one thing that we couldn’t get done was the thermostat. We couldn’t run new wires because of lath and plaster construction and cross beams that went through holding the existing wire. Other than that everything went perfect, and they installed a different thermostat which works just fine. So all in all I would give them about a 4 1/2*rating. This is the third time I’ve had Dr. Fixit come to my house and they’ve done an excellent job every time. So Dr. Fixit keep up the good work.

    Thanks again,

I need to share that they were 100% honest about everything that was wrong with my current pipes. I am somewhat of a cynical person, so I did share the information with a long time family friend who is a plumber, and he validated everything they told me. I wouldn’t say they are the cheapest but they aren’t the most expensive. Knowing that they told me the truth and didn’t try to sell me on work I didn’t need, I will use them again if the need ever arises.
  • Alexa Liszcz rated it 5/5: Austin is a very good listener, he and resolving the plumbing issue expeditiously without fail. His manner is professional, he is so very kind and took time to explain his approach and procedure including showing me the physical findings. Austin is highly qualified and a fantastic representative of your company. I am extremely satisfied with his service and your company which I highly recommend. Thank you! Alexa
  • Selene Brunner rated it 2/5: I am so lucky I did not go with Rooter town to fix my plumbing. My husband and I moved into a newly renovated house and the basement partially flooded the second day of living here. We hired Rooter Town to come out and fix the shower that was backing up and flooding. I really liked Justin, the man who came out originally to see what the problem was. That's the only reason they get two stars. He was able to figure out where in our pipes there was a problem, but had to send out his manager (Jordan) that night to come out with a camera to see what the problem was exactly. Jordan told me that it was a broken pipe, and it would be $8000 to fix but that he would help me go through insurance to get them to cover it, so my out of pocket would be about $1700. Unfortunately I would have to pay for all of it up front. I was about to pay the half ($4000) when my husband stopped me so we could talk to insurance and get a second opinion. Jordans mood instantly turned sour when I told him I wanted to wait one more day to talk to insurance. The next day Mile High Drain came out and were absolutely appalled that Rooter Town had taken green spray paint to my bathroom tile and even baseboards. They looked with their own camera and found that it was just construction debris and a piece of pipe and pulled it right out. I almost spent $8000 AND had my basement torn apart by Rooter Town. Mile High Drain even felt so bad for me that they cleaned up all the spray paint and did all of this FOR FREE. They even proceeded to clean out the rest of the drain! I tried to give them money and they refused. They told me they follow up Rooter Town's work frequently and they would give me multiple other plumbers they recommend instead if I choose not to use their company. I would avoid Rooter Town at all costs as clearly they want to have big projects so that they can get insurance involved.
  • Jerome kul rated it 1/5: We had a clogged, very slow draining main line. We thought we need a rooter. These guys came out and were very nice. Said he was able to get through using a 3" blade, but it still wasn't draining. He mentioned not enough slope and it was stuck. The would need to scope it with a camera for $300 bucks. Next day they stick a camera in there and say they can't see anything and they can't jet it because it'll flood the house, they have to dig it out and replace it for $6,200.

    I said I'll get other quotes and they came down to $4,800 instantly. They said they had a crew available. We agreed, and the crew was already at our house. I feel they knew what they wanted to do to get more money.

    They then tried to sell us on a full replacement for another $18,000! And left a green spray paint mark on my stamped concrete patio to show me where they would need to dig to. I asked if it would come off and he said oh yeah, it doesn't.

    They destroyed the line to our sprinkler control box, ripped out part of the sprinkler tubing, and they told my wife they don't think they hit anything.

    They took out a section of fence, and put the pickets back up out of alignment with the rest of the fence.

    They had a hole about 2' by 8' by 4' deep, but they did not use the sod they remove to put back. So i have a 8'x6' patch of dirt that is about 2" higher than my grass.

    All of the people that came out were very nice. They told us they do not repair damaged landscaping. Overall i feel like i was taken advantage of big time. Never spend more than $1k on service if you don't know what it's worth.

Pamela Vanderpool rated it 5/5: Chad Cooper did an amazing job installing multiple electrical outlets and a dedicated line for a new ejector pump. Because we have an old Victorian house, this was not an easy job, and we knew that going in. Chad is an excellent electrician, very experienced. The lines in our basement in this 120 year old house we’re connected to outlets upstairs that sometimes caused breakers to flip. And we had extension cords just running everywhere here in the basement. Plus, we have walls that are brick and stone covered with plaster, some of which are a foot and a half thick. Solid, no hollows in the walls to run wire. Definitely not a job for an inexperienced electrician. Chad was not only skilled, he was thoughtful, responsive, and careful in tracking time and costs. He’s the full package! Highly recommended.

  • Laura Landgreen rated it 5/5: I had the absolute BEST experience with Nathan Fisher. He came to my house quickly and on time to fix a pipe that was actively leaking into my kitchen. He was genuine, kind, efficient, and walked me through what he was doing so that I was aware. He showed compassion and was ethical in every way. He did an excellent job and I feel confident that the work he did was thorough and precise. I will absolutely be hiring Nathan for all of my plumbing needs in the future and am so grateful that he fixed our leak quickly and kindly! He was also the sweetest with our brand new puppy, which I think speaks volumes to his character!
  • Michael Berry rated it 5/5: We had a leak on both the hot and cold water valves for our washing machine on Sunday. Called Time Plumbing on Monday at 7:30am to schedule and had the job completed by 3:30pm Monday afternoon (We live in the Foothills). We could not be happier with the scheduling, the timeliness, the communication and the excellent work replacing the parts for our plumbing issue. Also, I had additional questions the next day and received a phone call from the owner of Time Plumbing and his response to my question was above my expectations and extremely professional! The whole experience was smooth from start to finish. I will definitely use Time Plumbing and Heating for any issues in the future without hesitation. A++ customer service and response.

  • Jennifer Shaver rated it 5/5: We are so grateful for Time and Eric our technician! Today, we had an issue with our main electrical line. It was cold and we were out of power until we could get the repair completed on an Holiday. Eric was timely, responsive, honest and thorough in his work. He listened and stuck around after the power was restored to ensure everything was working properly. Thank you for being open today and for taking the time to help us. We were able to have power restored in our home, avoid frozen pipes and the peace of mind knowing the issue with our main line was resolved.
  • Mandy Zatynski rated it 1/5: This is 18 months after my experience with Time plumbing, but I have had so many other contractors and workers point out how awful this work is (and that I was ridiculously overcharged) that I thought it best to share with others. In the winter of 2021, my pipes froze and we realized it was because there was an open outdoor vent blowing air inside my basement ceiling. They caulked around the outdoor vent and then they haphazardly cut this hole in my ceiling, stuffed a little bit of insulation around this pipe and then stuck a vent over it. (They also left all of the debris of the work behind, scattered all over my floor.) They charged me over $900. This is, in part, my fault for not knowing enough–but this is why I call (and trust) experts in the biz. I have since had the ENTIRE basement ceiling insulated (drill and fill) and it cost me LESS than this terrible "band-aid" fix. The experts who recently insulated my ceiling said, at the very least, they should have replaced the drywall and patched it (rather than placing a vent there). I'll be doing this myself shortly. I used Time previously for a water heater replacement and had a decent experience, but I will never call them again. I feel incredibly foolish, but also: If they're going to take advantage of my ignorance, they are likely to take advantage of yours. Go elsewhere. There are more trustworthy companies out there. EDIT: Adding a response to the owner below: I emailed about this (and the mess) March 6, 2021 and never received a response.

  • Jeremy S rated it 5/5: Trevor was great to work with today, his attention to detail and honest guidance and feedback were next to none. We called him out to check our vibrating pipes and it turns out our 2004 water heater was on its last leg. He was very professional and his expertise really showed with the install of our new water heater, expansion tank, and clean-up of previous copper work that wasn’t up to par. His work is up to code and permit was pulled for the work. He stayed late until everything was up and running. There is also and 6 year warranty for parts and labor. The price was extremely fair and even though we weren’t expecting to replace the water now, we are glad that we did. The pressure of the hot water in the shower has never been this good and everything runs smoother than ever. Thanks so much Trevor and Mitch. Highly recommend!
  • Marco Del Zotto rated it 5/5: These guys are amazing! We had an emergency issue with our shower and a leak. Savage Plumbing responded to our call immediately and they were able to come out right away! They were awesome as most people now days they will just tell you that they are booked for 3 months even if you have an emergency. I would definitely recommend.
  • Steve P. rated it 5/5: Right up front; I'm very happy with the work performed by Steve with Sveagle plumbing and highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs. We had a large rock in our main line that was likely dropped in from the street side cleanout. With some creative use of his tools and a LOT of diligence, Steve was able to get the rock out. In doing so, he saved us from having to dig up the yard or basement and thousands of dollars. He was very professional but personable at the same time. He was respectful of our property and tidied up after the job was complete. His communication was excellent and he kept me in the loop every step of the way. Steve has earned Sveagle Plumbing another loyal customer. Thanks again!

  • Beth Van Pelt rated it 5/5: Steve came out to fix our pump/control panel and change out a valve. He was prompt and professional when he arrived and kept us informed every step of the way. A part had to be ordered which took longer than expected but he was here as soon as possible to put that in. We appreciate his expertise, thoroughness and kindness and would call on him again if needed.
