Laura Hanley rated it 1/5: The carpet cleaning resulted in damages to our newly painted banister, wall and baseboards (the cleaner let the hose run against the banister which caused the paint to be ruined). Once I realized this damage as a result of the cleaning, I contacted the store. I received ONE call back that I was unable to answer at the time. The rep left a VM and I promptly returned the call. I then called several times over the course of 6 weeks to get in contact with someone to discuss this experience and left several voicemails. I received no return call and when I contacted the HQ they said I had to speak with someone at my local store. I’ve now given up on any return calls or effort by the company to make things right.

Intentionally scheduled prior to any furniture being brought in so that the technicians would have an easier time. The floors are in poor condition, I just needed them all fully dusted and cleaned. My needs as a customer was a professional cleaning that would thoroughly give a once through mopping and lift the major crud off the floors. I wasn't expecting any sort of miracle… We will be replacing the floors pretty soon.
Stanley steemer came all the way out, and looked at the first floor (never looked at the bedrooms upstairs), then decided to refuse me service due to company policy that they couldn't make the floors look any better. I expressed to the technician many times that the basic service was exactly what I wanted and the price (around 600 dollars) was perfectly acceptable. It's very confusing why floors being dirty is a reason for a cleaning service to refuse the job…?

I asked if the cleaning would damage the floors and they said no, they demonstrated that their solution wouldn't make the floors look better by spraying it on the floor, and lightly wiping it up. The rag was filthy, so I said "yes, do that, I'd like less of that dirt on the floor." But they refused to do the job. I'm still pretty baffled by the whole experience but don't hire Stanley Steemer to clean your floors unless they are already pretty clean, or they might straight up refuse service. Brian Cano tried his best to make it seem like this made sense but I just really don't understand the policy. Terrible service.

Edit: Stanley responded to this review and said a customer service rep would contact me. They never did. Can't deduct anymore stars but thought that was important info to add.

Patrick returned today, with Jacob, to steam clean our upstairs carpeted rooms. Two days ago Pat did the entire main floor himself. We are again thrilled with the clean look and smell of our rooms. We told ourselves that we should have had this done years ago. We need to add that Pat was very kind to our dog. It is clear that he loves animals.
The following week, Pat and Jacob returned to steam clean an area in my daughter-in-law's room that had been contaminated with dog excrement. Their work is outstanding! A sleuth would not be able to see any traces on the carpet. I recommend them and Technicare highly. I will be using them again!

Where I'd been told by the other company certain stains could not be removed – they are now gone! All of them, including a large tea stain! I had no idea that was possible. Zack worked pretty hard on one area but it all came out! Impressive! My carpets are several years old and do have wear but now they are completely clean. I love their 2 step cleaning method and appreciate the time spent here.

I get an email confirmation plus a call the day before. The cleaning itself is professional, quick and easy. As the owner of two dogs, I am only interested in getting the high traffic areas freshened. Both times I've been asked by the cleaner if I am satisfied with the work, and the next day I get a follow up call to make sure I've had a good experience.
I am impressed with the good customer service I've gotten and will definitely continue to use them. I'm so glad I found Downey!

You can count on them for routine annual cleaning but more importantly in that crazy emergency when the dog gets sick or the red wine is spilled on the new couch! Debbie, who answers the phone, will do all she can to assure service is as quick as possible. Customer service is top notch. I can not say enough good about this company !

This time the tech acted like he didn't want to be there and kept telling us he didn't think cleaning the furnature or one of my rooms would help. I feel he did a sloppy job because he didn't want to be working that day. I did email the company. We took a rag to our wet furnature this is what we got. Not sure they even used soap.

We stayed home all day and gutted 4 rooms. They were closed when their voicemail and posted hours online said they were open and they didn’t respond to their “emergency” message. If you want reliable or want a job done call someone else.

I know a lot of people use the typical Stanley Steamer or whatever, but you need to give these guys a shot. We have used several carpet cleaning services and Master Clean is hands down the best we've had. Thank you!
