I noted on a special dress shirt that it had glass buttons to make sure they could take special care in cleaning the garment not to damage the buttons. The staff assured me it was no problem. I picked up the garment along with 7 other items, got it home and saw that all of the 12 glass buttons had been replaced with black, plastic buttons. There were no notes, the staff never mentioned any issues when I picked up my cleaning, nothing. I called the store immediately, they knew nothing of any problems and they gave me a customer service number to call to inquire. I called and had to leave a voicemail at 3:15 on a Thursday. I also went on line and inquired in their ask questions feature. Finally with no reply, I left another on line message on Monday afternoon as well as calling the customer service number again asking why no one had replied to me. They did call me back but had no idea what could have happened. They did check the sewing room, found all of my buttons in a pouch and said they all chipped in the tumbler. Why was it put in a tumbler if they said they would hand clean the garment? I'm out $50 for the replacement buttons but I did get their apology.

When I went to pick up a dress shirt yesterday, I got the shirt home before I realized that there was a crease pressed into the collar, and there was not a butterfly clip under the collar even though the shirt tail had a tag pinned thereto that specifically indicated such a request. This is not the first time that I have had to pay $3.24 per shirt, only to have to drive out of my way once again to return the shirt for a do-over, then wait for several more days before it is completed as requested. I would hope that employees would either [1] note my customer preferences on file in their computer system, or [2] read the tags that are hand-written and expressly pinned to each garment.
RJ Frank rated it 1/5: Been using them since 2010, specifically the 34th St S store since 2012. For most part I would say that they were pretty decent cleaners some goof ups with following simple directions but I never made a big deal of it.
I will say over the past year service has kind of gone downhill. I would get items home and they look like they weren't even pressed, simple directions weren't followed.
But my biggest beef is the lack of communication and responsibility. Around July 28th, I had dropped off a queen comforter with two pillow shams which have been previously taken care of by them.
I returned about 10 days later to pick it up and was informed that there was a pillow sham missing but they will find out where it was and get it back. I continued to use them with my regular dry cleaning and every time I was in the store I would ask and they were still looking, another time still checking on it and was informed that management knew about it and still looking. So around the middle of August giving them more time to locate it, still nothing.
For the next 3 months, I've called the main office left messages several times. I came back in and talked to the clerks, Ive sent emails that the items are still missing. It is now past the four month since the initial pick up and I have still not received the item nor have I ever got a message, email, text, phone call from anyone at the office with anything that I've sent. It's even more frustrating when I had actually called the office while I was standing in the store and left messages and the clerks were my witnesses.
I'm using this as my last resort that hopefully…..maybe it will be addressed.
What bothers me too is the fact that I spend good money on things I buy. The comforter set that I purchased in late spring of 2020, was in the hundreds. During the two years time I would say that it was cleaned a total of 3 maybe 4 times (as I change it out with several others over time) but now it sits in the closet because you can't put a comforter with one pillow sham. So the lack of response, the lack of communication, the lack of customer concerns is disheartening from a customer who has been dedicated to the business for 12 years and whose weekly dry cleaning bill could range anywhere from $50 to $125 a week.
Even when they charge the same price for two pillow shams to be cleaned as they do for a queen size comforter……
I was a dedicated customer !!!!

jules D rated it 1/5: I picked up my rug it still smelled still had hair on it and still looked dirty, put it in my house couldn't stand the smell it was still giving off, so I went out power washed it myself for 2 days now it's cleaner than when I dropped it off. not sure what I spent my money on but I'm very upset with how much money was wasted. You can literally see the line on the rug from where I cleaned and where they hadn't cleaned.

In this case I gave the owner, Roger multiple opportunities to make things right, in which he did not. I had Roger and his company carpet clean a whole house for me. He changed the agreed upon price on me right in the beginning saying it was a bigger job then expected, although this was off-putting I agreed on the higher price. I also gave Roger a 10% tip before he started the job to help a fellow business owner and also to ensure a good job. I visited the house the next day after the carpet was dry and noticed there were various yellow/orange SPOTS. I immediately asked Roger what these spots were and he went into full DEFENSE mode mentioning he has the best equipment and that those are PERMANENT stains and there's nothing he can do about it. Very poor customer service and making sure me, the customer, was happy. After researching these spots I found that these spots can happen with carpet cleaning and it is called "wicking" I was able to get these wicking spots removed at my cost. Its funny because he said they were PERMANENT STAINS which at the end of it, he just told me this so he didn't have to come back to fix and make his customer happy, this saddens me greatly.

My floors look fantastic! Oscar was knowledgeable with tips on keeping the floors looking good, both he and John were polite, on time and went efficiently about their business. Tom ( the owner ) was prompt with his pricing and estimate. Great company!

Tom was terrific during the sale and unfortunately, I paid him without inspecting the job as I was tied up and could not get down to the property for several days. Upon inspection, there were still many old paint spots and several pavers were still out of alignment. Tom met me at the property, I believe on a Tuesday, and said he would return Friday to align the sunken pavers and work more on the spots. I went to the property today, after a month, and the pavers look the same. So disappointed. I should have done the job myself in the first place. The worst part of this is, I have over 1000 sf of marble flooring I was hoping to have Tom strip, refill, re-polish and seal.

April rated it 5/5: I contacted Friendly Carpet Service because I had another company no show on me. This, of course was after I spent most of the day prior breaking down and removing all the furniture etc around my home, so the floors/rooms would be open for them.

Jeff was so amazing and professional. He arrived within a few hours of my desperate call and even moved one of his commercial clients to another day just to help me. What an amazing person; so kind hearted- and he was so good with our pup.

We had scheduled with a different company that cancelled on us last minute and we had family coming to visit the next day so we needed our carpets cleaned ASAP. I Googled carpet cleaning companies and saw his was close by. I messaged Jeff and he responded very quickly. He could fit us in his schedule, communicated when he was on the way and did a fabulous job! Better than the big national companies. He was able to remove some HUGE stains on our outdoor upholstery that was going to cost us upwards of 2K to replace, but he took the cushions back to his office, washed them not only once but twice and took every single stain out! Looks good as new! He was extremely affordable and very organized with his delivery dates. I would HIGHLY recommend Jeff for any carpet/tile/upholstery need!!

ryan menicucci rated it 5/5: I had to get a carpet cleaning to move out of my apartment, but my original provider fell through at the last minute. Jeff was able to provide desperately-needed carpet cleaning service with less than 1 days notice at a reasonable rate and great quality!
Although Jeff may not be able to guarantee last minute services like what he did for me, I can for sure say he is committed to giving you the best solution he possibly can. If you need carpet cleaning service, Jeff will do everything he can meet your need. If I have this need again, I’m giving Jeff a call!
