The cmpany came out they said they would inspect the chimney not sure what that looks like so I've never had a chimney inspection but he only looked up the chimney with his phone and told me that it was not in good shape, I believe he said the though the openings were rested when you pull on the chain.

Either way I was interested in the pricing to get the fireplace repaired or to put in a wood-burning insert.

The gentleman who came out I don't remember his name and he didn't leave a business card however he told me that he would get me the numbers the same day which was this Thursday the 1st or he would get me the estimate the next day either way it's two days later today is Saturday and I haven't heard anything.

I left a message at the office hopefully I'll get a call on Monday

Tony and his team came in and explained what they were going to do to remedy the issue. The chimney needed the old clay pipe removed and a stainless steel liner installed. When we discovered that the unit did not fit the opening of our original fireplace (1928 home), they worked with us to raise it up and get a unique surround created.
Now our pup gets to enjoy it just in time for the Holidays!

I never got a confirmation of the appointment either. This was a reschedule from the last date because they had no gas technician and it was cancelled last minute. If they weren't going to be open today this date should have never been offered to me. Honestly the communication with this company has been horrible and I will not recommend them to anyone. My parents used them for their fireplace services and was happy with them but that has not been my experience.

Very poor accountability, and I will be finding a new company to finish the work.

Due to special circumstances we needed to have someone leave work to meet tech at our home. Marisa was able correlate this so we knew time tech would arrive. Our tech, AJ, called ahead and arrived at stated time, was Covid compliant and put shoe coverings on before entering house. He removed logs, thoroughly inspected fireplace, cleaned firebox, cleaned logs, replaced sand, meticulously arranged logs, then lit fireplace when finished. He answered all concerns and questions. Cleaned up thoroughly after job. This was our first time having our fireplace serviced and we were extremely impressed from start to finish. We called 3 companies for quotes. We understand this is busiest time of year for this type of service, however, Dr Sweep was ONLY company to return call. From reading other reviews, prices appear to be about same for this service. $200 for a great cleaning, EXCELLENT customer care and peace of mind knowing our fireplace is safely operating was well worth it….Oh – I should add…. This was the first time in 30 yrs this fireplace was professionally serviced. It has never looked and operated better. Thanks again to Marisa and AJ for their assistance with our scheduling needs and a job that exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended Dr Sweep!!

I cleaned out almost 3 bags worth of ash. Charged $189 for a cleaning and they didn't even get the biggest part. They guy that came out said he only had about a years experience. I don't fault him. I just want this corrected in the future

I called their office and they said they'd get in touch with tech and have them call me. Never happened. I called them after a 2 days they answered the phone, then hung up. Never heard from them again. You won't have to twist my arm to take my business somewhere else.

This included protecting the area around the fire place. They even had treats for our dogs! They were professional and left the chamber very clean and ready for warm winter fire!
Mark Felzien rated it 5/5: This is a small company of 2 gentlemen who came out and worked as a team to clean my fireplace and chimney flue. I get this done once a year as I burn about 2 face cords of wood over the winter. I have had several companies do my annual cleaning but these guys were certainly the most thorough! They cleaned out the chimney flue then scrubbed down the inside of the fireplace like no one else has ever done. They brought in carpet protectors and a HUGE vacuum machine. (The guys I had last year had a small shop vac.) They DID arrive earlier than the scheduled window so be prepared for that. They were courteous and friendly. They showed me a couple of things that I might want to repair (some minor "tuck-pointing") and told me what products to get. Most companies would have tried vigorously to "up-sell" me on a small repair like that. I asked if they were going to inspect the chimney cap. He said that they could do that but it would be a Level 2 inspection and would cost more. He offered that I could go up there and take some pictures and he would review them for free – which he did. I will get them again next year!

Santa’s Chimney Sweep came out, did not notice any occlusion, told me they no longer go on roofs (‘…he’s 65 and the youngest person at the company…’ as explanation), suggested I hire a roofer to measure for a new chimney damper. Frustrating. I agreed to and paid fee, but after contacting other companies, learned this just did not seem right. Hired another Chimney Sweep company who came out the next day, removed insulation blocking chimney, ordered new handle and cap for subsequent repair. For $11 more.

They both took the time to explain and show me how to safely heat fires throughout the winter. I didn't get the name of both of them, but Paul left us his number if we had any questions. He also went ahead and caulked a seal between the face brick and interior brick that would have otherwise left our fireplace unusable. And he included this in the cleaning since the cleaning was short and smooth. Overall, highly recommend.

He explained everything to me, and answered all of my questions. He replaced the pilot assembly and cleaned the fireplace. I did have a different company out previously, and they told me it was $3100 repair, which was not necessary. RASA fixed the problem, did not try to sell me something I did not need, and very affordable.. I definitely recommend RASA for fireplace and chimney needs! I will be calling them in the fall to come back and do the yearly fireplace cleaning and inspection!

I responded asking questions about the quote multiple times and did not receive a response for several weeks. The response I received was that I will be receiving a call to go over the estimate. I did not receive the call, I then call the office and they apologized and said a technician would call by end of day. It has been 2 months since the cleaning and I still have not received a call to review the estimate. It’s as if they don’t want the business.

Firstly the initial conversation to set up an appointment was like talking with a family friend, Ray's wife Marie was so sweet. She took her time making sure she had every detail for our appointment. Even called multiple times to confirm, which I loved because previously we had two companies who never showed. When Ray arrived he got straight to the point and was so honest with me and my husband. It turned out we didn't need any of the work done that the previous companies told us we would need. He even shared tricks and tips with us for maintaining our fireplace. I highly recommend them for any of your chimney/ fireplace work. Very professional and just all around great guy.
Patricia Drake rated it 1/5: I thought long and hard about whether or not to review. Everyone who hears this story tells me to review. I was having a problem with soot and I have gas logs. The very friendly wife of the owner confirmed I could get soot from gas logs and scheduled an appointment for cleaning. The owner of the company, who is in his 70s, (maybe it’s time to retire) came out and took one look. He said he would not touch them and referred me to his son’s company to have the logs cleaned. He did not touch my fireplace which I had wanted him to clean. He did not offer to return to clean the fireplace once I had the gas logs serviced. He called his son and inferred that my gas logs were cheap (at a price tag of $1500 – they are not cheap). He charged me $130 in cash and insulted my general cleaning of my house claiming he thought he saw a cobweb ( which was soot on a corner of the ceiling – a problem I was trying to remedy by having him clean the fireplace and then getting the room painted). As he prepared to walk away with my money in his pocket he told me I could clean my own fireplace brick with Dow Bathroom cleaner and a wet/dry vacuum. How unprofessional! I cannot recommend this company.

He said he wouldn't do it because there is an insert and if he did do the cleaning it would be $265. Then he said i need a new lining and it would be $3000. Brian at London fog said thieves try to sell linings for $3000. And he only charges $1600. Then he charged me $140 for shinning a flash light up the chimney. He was here less than 2 minutes. I told him that was outrageous and he started swearing at me calling me all kinds of names. The most unprofessional person I ever dealt with. I gave him $100 for his trip and told him to get lost!! And of course he cust me out alot more…

Paul Checkowsky rated it 5/5: Master Sweep Chimney Service came to our home for a full inspection of our chimney and fireplace. The two technicians were extremely professional and were clearly well trained. They spent considerable time checking all aspects on our fireplace both visually and with a camera. They also spent considerable time outside checking the exterior. We have a gas fireplace and they thoroughly checked all of those components too. When complete, they had a full write up of their results and then spent time explaining the whole setup. Everything checked out fine and the technicians said the initial installers did an excellent job when the house was built. Master Sweep is a company you can trust for accurate information and clearly are in the business for the long haul. They are not looking for a quick sales. Finally, the front office called a few days before to confirm appointment and the technician called on the day of the appointment to make sure the time was still good. Very professional company.

morganlogan rated it 3/5: Called to make an appointment for a chimney sweep. When I told them my city I was told they don't service this area. They service the cities directly north, east, south, and west of me. When asked how that could be I was told they only do a 40 mile radius. Google maps says it's exactly 26 miles from their business to my house. No attempt at customer service and they made no attempt to try and verify that i'm not in their service territory. I can't imagine just not wanting business.
