I was wanting my chimney and fireplace inspected to burn a wood fire and if it was safe.The tech called me to inform he was 15 minutes out which I appreciated. I was at work and my daughter was at my house to let the tech inside. I received a call 1 hour later that the job was complete and he needed to be paid. Never did he call me with a service estimate on the work needed or what he was going to do. He just called after the job was done. I had many questions to ask and he seemed to busy to answer. He just said my fireplace was safe to burn wood and to open the damper. No explanation of what he actually did. Just, "I need $270.00".
I paid the bill.
Last night I opened the damper and built a wood fire in my fireplace. My house filled with smoke and every room now smells like a campfire. The wood was not green or damp…but the chimney is not working and my fireplace IS NOT safe. Very disappointed in their service and professionalism. I feel duped and this company was a total waste of money.
Susan Oconnell rated it 1/5: Horrible service. They were recommended by SoBelles who had previously cleaned out dryer vent. Alex arrived on time (one star). It was raining at the time. I asked him if he was able to perform the work because of the rain. He replied he could. I asked him if he can get on the roof in the rain and his reply was “ I’ll look into it”. He moved our dryer out, put a scope in, said he didn’t see anything and charged us $216.45. We called the business this afternoon and asked what to expect from a dryer vent cleaning. As we figured, cleaning from the roof down was part of the description. The girl was extremely rude, said safety comes first and no apology for doing half a job.
To Southwest Chimney & Air Duct Cleaning: your response should have been “sorry, we instructed our technician not to go in the roof because of the rain. We understand only 1/2 of our service was performed. We’d be happy to make an appointment to finish the job”. Instead, we were treated rudely and with disrespect. Do not, I repeat, do not use this company!

I asked about vaccine status and again with attitude said no and tried to tell the ICU RN and MD that it’s not necessary. If you want to come into peoples houses you don’t show up drunk or unvaccinated. What these people do directly impacts the health of everyone around them. Don’t drive drunk. Don’t come near my home unvaccinated.

I contacted them for a second opinion regarding some gas fireplace issues I was having. The fireplace had been out of use for over 2 years due to a previous company telling me that my gas fireplace had to be removed from the wall etc. – – I’m glad to have contacted this company since they sent a professional to conduct a thorough inspection and service on my fireplace. He resolved the issue in one day, and there was no wall removal necessary. I highly recommend this company and if I ever need to upgrade or purchase a fireplace I have added them to my phone contacts.

We had a leak on our roof due to all the rain. Daniel was prompt to evaluate and gave us an estimate for our insurance that same day. He brought his team as soon as the insurance approved the repairs. Him and his team were extremely professional at all times. He always called ahead to let me know they were going on the roof and to give me updates throughout the process. We had rough weather while he was making the repairs and he made sure to double check for leaks during the process. His work is impecable! I highly recommend him.
