They also were contentious of our house using drop cloths and shoe covers.

He was very neat and clean in the process, his machinery was pristine, he said our fireplace was well past needing a good cleaning and spent a good amount of time making sure it was perfectly clean, right down to using a toothbrush on some of the parts. We couldn't have been more satisfied with his service or with the thoughtfulness of Bart. I'd given him FIVE STARS for being excellent!!!!

He was also very respectful of my house on this snowy/icy day as he put on his shoe covers prior to entering each time. Bart was able to diagnose the issue and fixed it during the visit while also leaving the gas log setup even nicer than the original install. Would highly recommend Home Safe to anyone for their fireplace needs!

Maureen Huston rated it 2/5: Our realtor recommended Maybee Property Inspections for the home that we were purchasing in Derby. After closing, we discovered that several health & safety items were overlooked – and, now a month later, are still discovering things that should have been noted on the home inspection report. So far, this includes: finding that there was only one operational smoke detector in the entire home, some windows without adequate weather-proofing, and a stair railing that was not properly anchored to the wall.
To his credit, the inspector returned at the behest of our realtor when water damage was found by us a day after moving in; however, he showed little concern for the seriousness of it and the presence of mold. We have now spent $1,800 on the mitigation of the mold and the subsequent repairs, of which we may have had recourse with the seller had it been caught during the home inspection.
While I appreciate the inspector's notice of the "big ticket" items like the roof needing to be replaced and HVAC system needing to be serviced, I wish that there had more attention to smaller details that have ended up being costly to us.

Erik came out on time and was friendly but, did not perform a very thorough inspection of the home we purchased. After the initial walk around and discussing his findings, we had to walk around again to point out glaring obvious issues. We, the home buyers, also missed a lot of things that are pretty obvious, but we did not catch at the time. I was hoping that someone that makes a Carrer out of this line of work would have done a better job. A recommendation for anyone purchasing a home and going through the inspection, turn on all the lights, run water in ever sink, tub, shower etc. we failed to do this as did our inspector.

The inspector took very poor photos, missed things that I found after he left and made several comments on the report that he could not determine and recommends a licensed company assess further. If I had known that was what my inspection was going to consist of on almost every concern with the property I would have inspected it myself and saved the money. On top of that, I have emailed questions back to the inspector, along with pictures of things he didn't include in the inspection and have not heard back from him. HIGHLY DISCOURAGE ANYONE FROM USING THIS COMPANY.

Kyndra Brown rated it 5/5: Our furnace went out a few days before a cold front was to come through. We had a fireplace but had never used it and we didn’t know whether or not it was safe to use. I called them and explained our situation. They were able to get us on the schedule a few days later. The cold front came though the night before our appointment. I was expecting a cancellation due to weather, but they did not cancel!! They came out on a dangerously cold morning with subzero temps and -30 windchills. Our fireplace was good to use and they spent an hour getting a fire going and showing us how to use the fireplace. And then they didn’t want to charge us! I can’t say enough good things. They are good, caring people. I highly recommend. I will definitely be calling them in the spring for a cleaning!!

Plus we had a ridiculous switch at ground level to turn on the fireplace which was not great for a house with kids, so they disconnected that and got us a remote instead! Plus it was all super affordable!
We then had them back out this summer to complete full cleaning and inspections on our fireplaces and we were wowed with the results!! They confirmed we still no longer have gas leaks, and we discovered that the backdrop in one of our fireplaces was a faux brick design. We had never seen it before! 😳😆

Plus they warranty what they work on. They are knowledgeable, kind, and honest. We are loyal customers for life now. Use them, you won’t be disappointed!
Derek Richardson rated it 5/5: Thee Fireplace Guys came and fixed my gas fireplace when I couldn't. I had purchased and installed the wrong size pilot and it just wouldn't work, no matter what I did. Within minutes of starting the inspection, his vast knowledge was tested and he found my mistake. ( I installed a propane pilot) Within an hour – my unit was back together and working fantastic! Very professional and honest company.
Not only did my unit get fixed at a very affordable price, but the technician went beyond my expectations and cleaned the inside and outside of the fireplace, repainted the walls with high temp paint, inspected for leaks, and recommended a self install blower that doubled my heat output. These guys are amazing! My living room is much more cozy now, just in time for winter.
My hat is off to these guys. I trust them to come back and do any work I may need in the future, and that's hard to earn from me.

On top of that he was able to get a flue unstuck that has probably been seized for 30 years. If you have a fireplace or fireplaces that have been unused for a long time Chad is without a doubt the guy to go to. If you think he might be too far away give him a call anyway, my house is 40 miles from his place of business.

Colin Donner rated it 5/5: During the past two months, with all the rain we have been getting in Wichita, my chimney sprang a leak that caused quite a bit of destruction to the interior of my living room. Rainbow International of Wichita was quick to my aide. I was extremely impressed with their skills and greatly satisfied with the new/fresh look of the restored carpet and tile surrounding my fireplace. Their services are reasonably priced, and the employees were timely, professional, and courteous! Highly recommend this company.

My basement has been left half finished for months now because they can’t figure out how to call my insurance company and make a claim. Then because they couldn’t figure it out I received a bill for the whole restoration in the mail and I was told it was due immediately and I needed to make the claim with my insurance myself. This is not the first time my basement has flooded and I have NEVER had to make a claim myself and the companies I have hired have NEVER had a problem making a claim with my insurance company. As amazing as these guys started out I would not recommend them because of how badly they turned out to be in the end.
Edit: This company was or is part of Superior Home as another reviewer stated. Their phone number shows up as Superior Home when they call. Another reviewer also said that they are scammers; they overcharge for everything and change for things that never happened. This is 100% true! They should really be turned in for insurance fraud since water mitigation and restoration claims are usually done through insurance.

He discovered that for the past several, who knows how many, years, my dryer had been venting into the joists between the first floor and the lower level. He fixed my issued and was fabulous to deal with. I HIGHLY recommend him!

They showed up and said they don’t do chimney cleaning with an insert even though they had done it before. Would of been nice if they would of said that before they showed up so I wouldn’t have wasted 4 weeks waiting on them.
