The office staff was so helpful walking me through the process and being very patient. The crew was absolutely amazing. They were professional and left my yard and driveway cleaner than it was before they arrived.They also took the time to wait for me to okay the new brick before install. I have a 6 year old who was curious about what they were doing and they had no issues with her looking and watching. I would recommend 2nd generation to anyone who needs any sort of chimney work. Mathias and his crew were exceptional! They went beyond our expectations and the new chimney is beautiful! The craftsmanship is flawless. They were professional, yet easy enough to talk with, and explained the installation process in sufficient detail so I knew what to expect when they came. (I didn't expect the work to be done in a day-which it was!)
As for clean-up, there again, they exceeded our expectations. My husband was very impressed with the work that took place "downstairs" and remarked that the clean-up was "awesome!" Outside, I did notice some debris on the lawn where they had mixed the mortar and made a mental note to take care of it before our next mow. The crew came back on Wednesday to remove the wood form around the concrete cap. While I was chatting with Mathias, who was on the roof, I noticed another member of the crew down on the ground, gathering up all the small stones and debris I had noticed the day before. Excellent!!

They provided our chimney inspection and walked us through several pricing options to help us achieve what we wanted with our home and to get our fireplace into safe, working condition. Repairs and construction took one day and the two employees on site were phenomenal. They maintained an extremely high level of safety and professionalism on a very windy day working about 35 feet in the air on scaffolding, which they erected and tore down. We had two chimney caps replaced, a new heat shield liner put in our flue and tuckpointing done in our main level fireplace. And as a customer one point that was very nice … the cost matched the estimate, to the dollar.

Joe is extremely friendly and knowledgeable explained the type of brick I had and the reason for despair. Joe got me on the schedule for about a month and half out but had a cancelation and did it a month early. Mike and the crew did phenomenal work, extremely friendly and interactive with us and our dog! Chimney looks amazing!!

After a couple of years of ownership I decided to do something about it and contacted multiple companies for estimates. Out of all of the bids I received, Guardian's bid was the most thorough, reasonably priced, and timely. I was especially impressed with all of the pictures of the issues with my chimney, as well as a picture of the brick that would be used in the rebuild. I was also impressed with the secondary document I received that explained exactly what all of the proposed work would entail and why it was important. When I accepted the bid I was contacted right away and I was able to get the work scheduled in a week. The crew arrived within the window told to me and quickly got to work. They were finished in the early afternoon and the finished work looks amazing.

Guardian was running a little early which was nice and they were prompt in arriving and used a drone for a visual inspection of the chimney cap and exterior. The young man took care to prep his work area and in no time the job was complete. I had no mess to clean up.

Dryer is no longer dripping! I had them cone back a few days later and clean my 12-year old air ducts as that had never been done before. Great job on both – tidy and professional!

We were very impressed with how personable he was and he truly took the time to walk us through every nuance of our potential new home. While he offered many other additional services he was not pushy and did not attempt to pressure us into additional services or upsell us. All in all it was an extremely seamless and pleasant experience. Five stars!

If you're looking for a great place to get your chimney cleaned, Minnesota Chimney is the place to go! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they did a great job cleaning our chimney. We're definitely going to be using them again in the future!

When he was done Corey left our roof and deck cleaner than how he found it. And Ben and Lisa made the estimate and scheduling process very easy. We even got some cool before and after photos. Marco was the representative who came into my house today to clean the dryer vents, He represented the company well, he was very polite, caring, answered all of my questions so I was able to understand what needed to be done now and in the future.

Before entering, they asked if I wanted their shoes off and when they were done, they cleaned up. Plus they made sure the cat didn't get out.
Prices were reasonable as was the wait time for an appointment. I will be calling Homeplace again next year.

Nick was very responsive to my request for an estimate and it was his manner in interacting with me even in our first conversation that was one of the selling points. He brought up the discussion of design and understood I might want my near-100 year old house that had a distinctive chimney to have one again. He suggested a great color of brick to go with my odd greenish stucco. The price was right in line with other vendors – it was his manner that sold me, including his willingness to answer a number of questions about his bid. And then the awesome crew of Rick, Jake and Kyle showed up and built a beautiful chimney with excellent craftsmanship. A friendly, and skilled bunch who I was pleased to have come to my home for the week or so that it took. Hire Mohler – if you want to hear lots of compliments from your neighbors, like I did. 🙂
David K rated it 5/5: We have a 70+ year-old house with a large and prominent blue flagstone chimney in front. The chimney above the roofline was in need of structural repair. We wanted to fix it, but keep an “original” look. We had used Mohler in the past on a smaller job doing some tuckpointing on our stone front and some work on our front steps. We were impressed with their workmanship and chose them to fix our stone chimney—which entailed a total teardown and rebuild from the roofline up. They cleaned and reused nearly all of our existing stone, supplementing it only as necessary—and we think the finished job looks great. In addition to their stonework, they subcontracted with a custom metalworker to put a metal cap over the new chimney’s entire crown as an improvement to the chimney’s weather protection. Overall, it was an expensive job, but we feel very good about the quality of work done.

They showed up when they said they would, were quick efficient, courteous and thorough. Then, they cleaned up and even returned all the deck furniture to exactly where it was before—no sign they were there except the new chimney. I will give out their name to anyone I know!
