I contacted them over the weekend and they were incredibly responsive, we were able to schedule an appointment for later that week. Lucky for us they had an opening sooner and were able to fit us in a day earlier.
First thing they did was introduce themselves and provide us with their business card. The whole process took less than 30 minutes, and the cost was incredibly reasonable. Very professional and efficient.

Please don't be like us and wait to get the vent cleaned until it gets this bad, I promise you'll feel a lot safer if you get it taken care of now.

Hunter and Brandon arrived early, took videos of my chimney cap and let me know my chimney did not require cleaning at the time nor was my cap in need of replacement. They showed me the sides of the cap and how in bad rainstorms and sideways rain some water can get in but I had no issues that required attention or repair. The dryer vent however definitely needed a cleaning.

I read all the reviews before selecting a company and so many attested that they will not sell you anything you do not need. It's absolutely true – I was expecting to pay a lot more in services and repairs and ended up with a clean inspection report and clean dryer vent. Our roof was also being replaced and they advised us to have the cap done first so workers weren't walking all over the new shingles. I had Chimney Cricket come out (after a no-show appointment), they asked if we wanted decorative or functional. My husband informed them we wanted stainless steel functional. They gave me an installation date, took a deposit of half the total, and I called to let the roofing company know so they could order the special equipment needed and schedule the job. Chimney Cricket did not show up on scheduled day, nor did anyone call me. After waiting long after our appointment time, I called them and was told they would not be coming because they didn't have the stainless steel in and couldn't make the cap. They gave me a new date and time, again no-show and no call from them. I called, got the same excuse and rescheduled again. Third time, same – no-show, no call, reschedule after I called, same excuses. At this point we discussed trying to get our deposit back, but were told by our roofing company that although the office and communications were not good, the ones who did the work were excellent. The roofing company called to say they had the special equipment, and to avoid more cost would have to go ahead and do the roof. Chimney Cricket finally showed up, only to tell my husband they had built a decorative cap, not a functional one. Back to waiting. When they finally showed up with the "correct" cap, they informed my husband they hadn't built the entire cap. I called and they said they had to order more stainless steel, so no date to finish yet. Chimney Cricket's first appointment with us was on October 7, 2021. They finally got the cap installed on January 3, 2022. We were home, but the worker still left with no notice, and without letting us know if there were any problems, or if the job was complete. Charisse, their "office worker" (and I use that term loosely) had said she would see about a discount when I complained about scheduling our time home only to have them not show up or call to say there was a problem. I understand if there is a problem getting materials in, but there is NO excuse for being so unprofessional or not caring about other people's time that you don't even inform them that no one will be at the scheduled appointment, or that it needs to be rescheduled! I received an e-mail bill for the full amount minus the deposit. When I inquired about the "discount," due to all of the problems on their part, she blamed the pandemic and said she's "juggling 15 schedules and sometimes people get missed." For a bill of $1850.00, she said the most discount she could give would be $25.00. I will NOT recommend or use Chimney Cricket again.

There were some issues with receiving the fireplace insert and some cancellations did ensue secondary to this (hence the 4 stars). Cherise was always very nice and did her best to accommodate. The two men that installed the fireplace were excellent. Dave was especially accommodating as there was an issue with the tile surround. He went out and purchased tile for me and installed it and did a beautiful job. His partner was also very good but I cannot recall his name – sorry. I can tell you that the install was worth the wait and is truly beautiful.

Once it was closer to the date they were silent until the morning of the appointment, only then did they reach out to me. I had to hire someone else to put up drywall and new flooring, something else completely left out of the conversation and not on the invoice. If you hire them, be prepared to have to hassle them for any information regarding the job you're having completed.

After waiting over 4 weeks to get a quote, I told them I was not going to use them because their company is very disorganized. Jon emailed me back and said I was banned from ever using his company. So rude. I hired Jeff curry of curry chimney sweep. Jeff called me back the same day I called him. He gave me a date of 2 weeks out from the phone call. Today he came, the day he said he would. I called them to do a job on January 20th, they said they would come out the week after, they called and complained that we were far away. Well they knew we were in Tarpon when we called, they kept telling us to go elsewhere but still kept a new appt. Confused and not as rude as they were, we kept the appt. only to be stood up again. Horrible company, Horrible customer service and rude. You have choices and this is not one to use!

I figured a good cleaning and inspection wouldn’t hurt so I called “A Chimney Sweep and More.” They came out within a week, cleaned the chimney and told me what repairs needed to be made (a loose brick or two and some repointing) I since have had the repairs made and the cleaning made a world of difference. Ori and his assistant arrived at exactly the scheduled time. Ori explained what work was needed and answered my questions. He completed the repair in a timely manner at a cost that was much less than a previous quote. The best service one could hope for. I do not believe I have ever experienced better service, quality of work, at a great price. Very happy to recommend Chimney Fix to all.

Recently, a nearby house had a chimney fire. It concerned us that it might be time to have our fireplace and chimney inspected. We scheduled an appointment with Carlo who took our call and answered our questions. He arrived on time with a friendly greeting, explained again what his service provided and immediately went to work .
He efficiently cleaned the chimney, went up on the roof and checked out its external aspects. Discovering cracks in the floor of the fireplace, his recommendation a repair, with an estimate to have it replaced.

Taking every precaution to cover the area around the fireplace, he cleaned up afterwards to the extent that we could not see, nor find, any soot from the work he'd done to thoroughly clean everything. On a personal and professional level, we instantly liked him and felt he was upfront, well informed, experienced and honest.

Without any hesitation or reservation, we would wholeheartedly endorse his work and company services. Joan posted a picture of his business card on her Facebook with a comment attesting to our satisfaction.

First off the office staff that I dealt with were friendly, professional and informative, they are a 5 star rating. The team that came to do my dryer vent cleaning and inspection/cleaning for my fireplace were friendly and professional. I purchased my home just over a year ago and wasn't sure what condition the fireplace would be in. The 2 young team members did an awesome job inside, cleaning the dryer vent and the fireplace inside. The gentleman that handled the inspection and the cleaning of the chimney was friendly and answered the questions I asked. However, he seemed to be in a rush to get everything completed to move on to the next job. I get that time is money and other clients are waiting for their service. Having had my own business I understand the importance of finding the balance of the time that meets the need to do a solid and high quality service for the customer. In the end the work performed was acceptable and needed to make the fireplace usable and safe. To end on a positive note, thank you Suncoast Chimney for providing a service that not to many places offer.

From the first visit where he came out to inspect our chimney and let us know our options to when he came out to take measurements for what we choose to do and when he installed the cap. He was great and explained everything to us really well. He took pictures of before and after the install too so we could see everything. I would definitely recommend them if you need your chimney inspected or are having any issues and would use them again if we needed anything chimney related.
