    Guy made sure that every outlet and every connection was safe and correct, even on the first level of the home where he wasn't working. We had a few odd things happen in the home with original electric work and Guy always found time to stop by and make adjustments in between our scheduled work.
    Financing was easy and a GREAT deal, 18 months no interest.
    Our office contact, Bob, was very responsive and helpful as well, he answered all my questions and called me to explain things in layman terms when I needed it.

Everyone throughout the process was very knowledgeable and professional and did great work.     They handled the situation well, and I feel relieved that not only does our master bedroom now have a fan, but it is also less likely to catch on fire. I’ll definitely be calling them for future projects!

They were polite, responsive, quick (even came out during a big snowstorm,) & professional. The speed of service was very important as the dishwasher issue was unknown until I bought a new dishwasher & had the old one removed by the installer – the installer couldn't finish the install until our electrical was updated). So, I won't have a big hole in my kitchen as long because of Early Bird's fast service. Would recommend.

    So, my thermostat went out the same night and I was left without heat. I called Advantage and they showed up next morning. The tech was amazing – he went Home Depo and purchased a new thermostat and installed it shortly thereafter. This company amazed me with the transfer switch job and saved me with the thermostat job.

  • Nic with No K rated it 5/5: Had a fire start in an outlet quite unexpectedly on a Sunday night and we are so thankful to have found Advantage Electric through a Google search. They were able to send Jake out to our house within the hour, and though there was a fee for emergency weekend service, it was more than fair and Jake was able to quickly understand our issue and get us taken care of the same evening.

    We had a follow-up visit to resolve a few more issues at the non-weekend rate yesterday, Monday 11/21 and had both Chris and Bill at our home to work through the absolute rat's nest that is our home's wiring. Chris and Bill very quickly resolved a number of issues with our home's internal wiring and also identified that when we had our electric service panel replaced/upgraded in July of 2020 that the other company we used for that work not only did not do the work correctly, they did it in a dangerous manner that is not safe, legal, or up to code.

    Bill and Chris took the time to explain not only what was wrong with how our new panel was installed by the previous company, but also explained why it is dangerous in a way that I understood. They very quickly rewired the outlet that burned up in the house, running new wire all the way from the bedroom down to our service panel faster than I thought possible. The entire time they were at our home they treated us exceptionally well and I felt like I was talking to friends I've known for years and not people that before yesterday were complete strangers to me. After they resolved our issues and left, I got a call from their office almost immediately and was told that Bill was so concerned about what he found at our home that he wanted to make sure I had some additional information so I can follow up with not only the previous electrical contractors we used for our panel replacement, but also so that I can follow up with the inspector that passed the work without taking a look at how the wiring was connected from the meter down into the service panel. They even took the time to provide the name and phone number of the electrical inspector that covers our town so that we can follow up. They even found the permit number for when we had the work performed back in July of 2020. This is so far above and beyond the service I've received from other vendors in this area over the past 7 years that I will recommend Advantage Electric to all friends and family that need any work done in the area.

    This company treated us like people that they cared about, not just another customer. That is exceedingly rare, and we will absolutely be repeat customers.

    Replacing a panel is never cheap but I found their pricing to be reasonable & similar to the other companies I received estimates from. Really happy with the work & would not hesitate to call on Edison again in the future!

• Our new tub wasn’t properly vented upon installation.

• Upon removal of the old vanity the sink drain needed to be relocated. We had plumber Ken return to do. We created an access through the main floor living room ceiling to re-route the drain and join it up with another upstairs bathroom drainpipe. (Since this wasn’t included in the original bid, we paid extra for this work.)

• When scheduling the inspector, Ken told us to not let the inspector look at the tub drain (since it was a replacement there was no inspection needed on this work). He said it was done ‘correctly’ but keep the inspector looking at the sink drain and not the tub.

• The inspector flagged the tub drain.

• Ken returned to fix the issue and presented us with a $1,200 bill to fix what he didn’t do right.

• My husband and I patched our living room ceiling and applied a labor-intensive Italian Carerra finish.

• Soon afterward the living room ceiling began leaking at the joint where the 2 drains came together.

• We fired Ken and had another plumber from Soderlin come out. Three holes were opened in the newly finished ceiling and was determined the ring around the joint wasn’t tight enough.

• Immediately the blame game started saying it was the contractor (who did the ceiling) that caused the joint to leak.

• My husband and I did the work and didn’t shove a 2×4 (that ran the length of the ceiling) under the pipe. The 2×4 in question had been there for years.

• Jason in management insisted someone else caused the issue and refused to come and look at the 2×4 that was removed. He stood by his plumber Ken (who was the one who did a shoddy job on the tub ventilation and told us to not let an inspector look in that direction.)

• We put this debate on the back burner and asked Jeff to come and finish our bathroom. The toilet, sink, and fixtures needed to be installed (the price of the toilet and installing the sink and fixtures was all included in the original bid.)

• When Jeff put the fixtures on the tub and tested it, there was water on our living room floor. He had put an O-ring on incorrectly.

• Jeff insisted we needed to pay $1139 for a new toilet and installation. He refused to look at the original paperwork showing the toilet and installation of sink and fixtures was included.

• Jeff wouldn’t leave our property without a credit card number to pay a bill we didn’t owe.

    I was so pleased with the service I received from Freedom! Here's why I'd recommend them and how they're different from others: The City of St. Paul does annual safety inspections and said that my dryer vent was not up to the latest codes (that they had updated but not notified anyone of) and they claimed needed to be replaced. I tried to source this work from several companies but they weren't able to come out on my timeline or didn't have the specific licensed HVAC technician that they city required to do the work with a permit. In my calling around, I was able to get in touch with Freedom and spoke with Amy on the phone who was so friendly and easy to work with in getting everything I needed set up and closed out at the end of the job. I felt they were trustworthy and thorough and I would use them again and recommend them to others!

Not only did I NOT have gas leaks, Freedom (John and Ado) found and fixed a potential safety hazard created by a contractor. The competitor was trying a fear tactic, didn’t consider other key issues and never suggested that issue (if it existed) might be covered by warranty).

    I have continually been impressed with the exceptional quality of caring, professional service from Freedom. THEY follow up on every service request and care deeply. It is a refreshing and essential difference from any other service providers I’ve seen in many years.

    I worked extensively with David and the Freedom crew in my aging Minneapolis home. It was a great experience and I will wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone.

    David evaluated our home and our needs and actually concluded that we needed LESS than I asked for! He emphasized the need for whole-home comfort and not just slapping in a high-efficiency furnace and calling it done. He coordinated with my insulation company to tackle the whole project. He spent a ton of time on the phone with me – well beyond what could be reasonably expected. He and his crew were extremely courteous, timely, and CLEAN. David ensured that our home was just as nice when they left – a true feat that I have never experienced with any company before Freedom. I felt no qualms about David and his crew working in the home with my wife and child when I wasn't present – my wife had great respect for the crew and was extremely impressed with how diligently they took care of our home.
