I live in Norfolk and whoever makes the schedule sent the girls to Suffolk and Portsmouth before my house and still expected them to be done with my house by 2 pm. They didn't even arrive until 2 pm because they were set up for failure. And after my house they were sent to VA Beach!! The girls did an incredible job but I felt terrible for them. Whoever scheduled them was not concerned about the people they employ. I have the luxury of getting to know these pleasant people because I work from home. I just want them to be treated well. Their pay is determined by our ratings which is why I always give them a 10.

Holly C rated it 2/5: I’m not really happy with it. For an empty apartment, and about an hours worth of work split between two girls, $300 was pretty steep. They didn’t clean the stove, or oven at all, and when I asked why, they told me the cleaner they had wouldn’t do much. So I feel like I paid $300 for two girls to come in and mop, which is fine given the name, but according to the website this cleaning was supposed to be much more in depth. I feel ripped off. And now I’m mad because I have to go buy whatever I need to clean everything I was supposed to be cleaned in the first place. The windows weren’t cleaned either. I hate confrontation so I didn’t really push anything in the two minutes they looked at me and waited for me to say you can leave, but since then, I’ve found my stovetop wasn’t even touched, there’s grease on it from the previous tenants, the oven is still dirty, there is dirt on my floors and the counter, the cabinets are dirty, the sink is dirty in the kitchen, etc. This is a huge disappointment as I wanted it cleaned as a convenience and now I’m out all of this money and still have to clean everything. Probably will not recommend.

All three times they have been here they never touched the laundry room even though it’s included. The most recent clean they were here for only 50 minutes there just did a spot sweep and mop and missed way too many spots. They didn’t clean the window sills, appliances were left streaky. I definitely do not feel like I getting what I paid for.

I hired a so-called contractor on Angi and they measured for my patio door incorrectly then ordered the door but never showed up to install. Second contractor same story-no show. I called Jonathan and he was courteous, efficient and friendly. He showed up on time and made the door fit like a glove. It's good to know there are still a few honest tradesmen. Thank you so much!

So, Jonathan is the owner of Help Around The House and he assured us he would get it done. Day of the scheduled install, he showed up at the agreed time and explained everything in detail. As the work progressed, I felt very confident. He and his wife Amber worked well as a team & cleaned diligently along the process.

They stepped away for lunch & purchased trim & additional materials to complete the job. Upon returning from lunch, the installation was completed quick &.efficient to my complete satisfaction.

I will hire Help Around the House again & I highly recommend them. Job well done at a very fair price.

We love starting the week with a sparkling clean office! Even better, they use all environmentally friendly cleaning products, which is incredibly important to us. Eco Green is able to do much more than weekly cleaning, and takes care of all of our window washing and floor polishing on a quarterly basis as well.

The odor was pungent and Brian took the time to not only clean the carpets but sanitize and deodorize them. He even helped me remove some stripped bolts on a separate project after seeing me struggle with them! Totally not his job, he's just an overall amazing professional and truly cares for his customers! Will definitely be using him in the future and can't recommend him enough!
