The scheduler was friendly, phoned to tell me plumber was on his way and texted picture of plumber along with tracker app so I could follow his progress to my destination. The plumber even wore booties in house and cleaned up after himself! I would definitely use their services again.

    He arrived well within the appointment window and went straight to work.
    He inspected the shower which needed repair because the faucets leaked, got his tools and began disassembling the valves and found they were frozen.
    When he finally was able to extract them, he found that he didn't have replacement stems on his truck so he left and drove to a plumbing supply to secure replacements.
    Upon returning successfully, he installed the valves, checked the system for leaks and asked me to check it out to insure I was satisfied with the job.
    Actually, I was delighted and felt he had done a great job.
    We had also agreed it was time to flush my water heated and he completed that job quickly and efficiently.
    Kendrick was professional, and displayed a great work ethic throughout the job. He was friendly and respectful of our home.
    I am very pleased with the way he worked and the way he represented your company. The job was completed to my satisfaction in a timely manner

But, I finally made the move and chose to call Village Plumbing after reading all the great reviews and their website. I'm happy to report that they lived up to the reviews! The ladies who handled my intake as well as the dispatch desk who confirmed my appointment (Karen/Sheila) were friendly and professional and were eager to answer any questions. Their system will keep you well updated on your appointment and tech by email and text but they are also easily reached by phone, too.

    The licensed plumber (Dondi S) was on time, friendly, open to answering questions, and explained the various options as well as pricing in a clear way. He and I got along great and he provided a wealth of knowledge for me at no extra charge! And, it made me realize that I should have called them sooner.

    Not only did my issue get fixed but I'm now quite open to their other offerings due to their upfront, friendly, professional way of doing things. Seriously, call them for your plumbing and AC needs!

I would not let you in my home in fear that your work would be as reckless as your driving. 2 days in a row your vans almost cause a wreck in front of me. On 8/30 at 3:20pm one of your techs cut everyone off to make an exit from the straight only lane and crossed over the double white line to do it at the last second. Drivers like that are the reason for the correct lane to be backed up. Wait like the rest of us. Then the very next morning 8/31 at 7:28am your van enters i45n cutting across 3 lanes making all of us have to hit our brakes. Leave earlier so you dont have to rush and risk your communities lives. Its very shameful that you boast being woman owned and your techs drive like a woman too. We're supposed to go against the stereotype. "Yes we can" but lets try "yes we can drive". Find who was driving these vans at these times and locations and have a safety lessons course, because theyre representing you very poorly.

I had no solution and had accepted my fate, just use fans with this heat. I felt bad for my daughters. Air Tech of Houston came to the rescue. They called me Friday morning to let me know that they were going to replace the part and that they were going to fix it free of charge. That it was a Mother’s Day gifts. I was at work in shock, speechless and crying from joy. The part was replaced, I never knew how much time goes into a/c repair. I was outside with the repair man the whole time. He finished the work outside then came inside to check the air vents and make sure the temperature was cooling in the whole house. He paid attention to detail and I could see his passion and pride in his work. Each interaction that I had, I was treated with respect and kindness. The employees were friendly and knowledgeable. Told me needed freon….my AC guy showed up the next day and discovered just a fan motor issue..wow…waste of money on capacitors….$700 bill. 1 of the caps did not even look new.

    Update 5/23/2022….Company reached out to me to discuss what happened. GM/Owner should be commended for this and also for refunding the entire cost for that day. It's good to see an honest company nowadays. Keep up the great customer services for listening to the voice of customers.

They spent several hours being very thorough in their inspection and gave a very detailed report. Their company does many services and I have been very pleased with them so far! Let’s see what happens next week in the story of the Lunsford heating and cooling adventure!     I had a technician come "inspect/diagnose" my unit MARCH 23, 2022 as I had a burning scent the night before. He came in and within two minutes informed me that the blower was burned out. So he quoted me $985 for a replacement. He had me pay at that moment and then departed. I have never had to pay for a service before having service performed. A different technician was sent out an hour later and replaced the faulty motor to the blower. The unit still did not work after completing the job and the technician proceeded to try and sell me a new furnace for $4,500 dollars as he did not advise replacing any other parts. He then said replacing the furnace was a bad move as my unit is oversized for the size of my house and he proceeded to offer and sell me a brand new unit for $16,700. I was taken aback and stated that I would have to think about that before making a decision………… I quickly called another HVAC contact (Air Mart of Texas LLC) that my architect boss recommended after sharing my experience with ONE CALL. The other HVAC contact came out and did a full diagnostic. Said the AC/Furnace unit was large but that it was still in good condition. The new HVAC contact replaced the circuit panel for $300 and that is all that needed to be performed to have my unit work.

I quickly received a call from Ann in the office and she had me set up with an appointment ASAP, even though I am fairly far from their office. Today one of the owners came himself (Chris, I think?) to do my same day repair and had my unit up and running in no time, as well as giving me tips for future maintenance that I could do myself easily. It is so rare nowadays to find a company to trust to service any of your items, especially in the HVAC business, but this company has been 100 percent trustworthy from Day one, as well as being very knowledgeable about their products and services. The receptionist was friendly, and called back after an accidental disconnect which was appreciated. There was a quick turnaround time between when I called and the appointment date. He checked the unit, the air filters, the dampers, and the thermostat, diagnosed the problem, and offered multiple repair and replace options. He was patient in explaining the situation and answering all questions, and remembered our home and unit history from previous visits. All Star A/C, and Brian specifically, are highly recommended. Our appointment window was 8-10 AM, we got an "on the way" text message at 8:40, and the ETA of 30 minutes was accurate. All around very happy with the quality – hopefully our unit lasts a long time, but we appreciate the recommendation of a great replacement brand/model for when the time comes.

  • James McBarron rated it 5/5: I just bought an existing home. The upstairs has been hot the last couple of weeks, so i called an HVAC contractor recommended by a family member (not AirCon). The first (unnamed HVAC contractor) said I need to replace the outside condenser unit. I thought I was in for a $4-5k bill.

    Calling AirCon was my second opinion, based on a recommendation from a trusted friend, for a second opinion to solve my problem with the upstairs A/C.

    Scheduling them was a breeze. The AirCon Tech arrived on-time, came in and asked questions to see what my problem was. He then began a thorough troubleshooting process checking both the inside (attic) and outside units. He checked voltages, amperage, temperatures, static pressure, etc. Very thorough with many trips inside/outside and upstairs to the attic!

    The problem ended up being closed registers in several rooms. Apparently the previous homeowner closed them to paint them and never reopened them. He also recommended adding a couple of lbs. of freon to get the pressures from the bottom of the normal range to the middle to ensure everything was squared away.

    This two-pronged approach fixed the problem (hot upstairs). The Tech even helped me get the Nest thermostats configured on my wi-fi network and app on my phone! Service is a virtue these days! When you find it, you tell others so it can be supported and sustained. I'm now a new, and intend to be, a long-term customer of Air-Con!

  • charles johnson rated it 5/5: ( 1 week post install) While no one wants to replace their entire A/C and heating system, sometimes we just have to. I personally installed my system in 1995, when I bought my home, as I was in the HVAC world at that time. With the need to replace the system, I found the experience with AirCon to be excellent, as I started with a high bar in the first place. Their initial contact with a sales and installation tech was professional and forthright. He evaluated my current situation, performed heat load calculations, including existing insulation and U-values on my new high efficiency windows etc. Then he listened to my concerns and expectations and offered me appropriate options, without a hard sales pitch.
    The install crew as right on time, worked all day installing new condenser, evap-coil, furnace, discharge plenum, return air plenum, transition and new line set. This was a full system replacement minus duct work.
    Upon completion I was shocked to find the transition even contained an access panel. The crew cleaned up the attic area, and even vacuumed out the garage floor with all the fine insulation that inevitably left behind with this type of install. The crew was professional, and the overall installation was everything I expected.
    Wasn’t the cheapest bid/proposal I received, but there is value in the execution and confidence they have provided, and I'm pleased with my choice. Thank you AirCon, I will be recommending you to others.

    My replacement was done in the attic of a two story townhouse in 105 degree temperature. These guys worked their butts off and never a complaint. Always yes sir when I asked a question. That's pretty amazing.

    Update: well I may of spoke too soon. It turns out the installers did not hook up the baffle that directs air to the upstairs and down stairs. Aircon did come out and fix it the next day but it wasn't even hooked up. Which means the installers didn't even check their work. The big one was that they didn't tighten a gas line all the way and there was gas leaking for 24 hrs next to my 6 year olds room.

    Also today the City of Houston inspected the work and failed it. There were electrical wires run across air ducts and gas lines and the inspector said it's a fire hazard. I'm in real estate and have bought a lot of HVACs over the years. This has turned out to be the worst install. I expect more for a $18k install!

(That's why I included so many categories of service– we've had it ALL over the course of almost 10 years…) Way back then, the management of our organization had P& M install our HVAC system, two commercial units. Through the years, their prices have gone through the roof, but we stayed on because we felt it was prudent to "dance with the guy that brung ya". NO MORE. Yesterday, they charged us $195 for a $20 float sensor PLUS a really high service charge fee. To replace one $20 float sensor, the bill was $373.46. When I called to speak with the service manager, he was belligerent from the get-go. He offered to cut a mere $50 of the total bill, and told me that I was accusing him of lying, which I most certainly did NOT. He told me that if I feel the need to go elsewhere, go ahead. So we will.

If I could give them less than one star, I would– but actually, one star is okay because I LOVED the service tech we had. We finally had found the one who was trustworthy and did a superb job. My problem was not with him; it is now with the attitude of his superiors.

If you have money to burn, and particularly love being talked down to by the management, this is definitely the company for you.

We are in a different condo now, and called Aire Serv to service and clear lines on our unit. Our technician was knowledgeable, very professional, answered all my questions, and even showed me how to maintain lines between service checks – as it is a little different being in a mid-rise building. He also pointed out some plumbing issues unrelated to the unit (but next to the unit) that needed attention and we followed up with a plumber for that right away.

He was very clear in his explanations of what the trouble shooting looks like and the pros and cons of each choice as well as cost and what would be best for the system. Byron and his crew were very good and I could tell they were not cutting any corners and were willing to explain everything for my understanding and do things properly. Definitely would recommend if you want a quality job.

Before we called them, we had a tech from another company come out, take a look at our very old system, and then refuse to do any work on it–but the Aire Serv folks came out, told us what they could fix and how long the fix would last, as well as gave us estimates on installing a new system. We decided to install a whole new system, which they had up and running within just a few days, and they do regular tune-ups to make sure it's kept in great shape. I appreciate that they gave us options when we first needed them, they're fast to get things done for us and flexible with our schedule. I feel a lot better knowing the maintenance work they do will keep us comfy inside–no matter what the temperatures are doing outside!
