latrice thomas rated it 3/5: Please control the homeless population, it tends to get crazy down there latenight. They don’t bother people but it is disgusting and disturbing. Also for a community laundry mat, trash control should not be a issue but obviously it is! Most machines are down, but they do work like a charm.. that’s why they get a 3 star!

Most relevant reviews:

  • J Faron Shore rated it 5/5: A great place to do your laundry, the lady that works in there in the day time is very sweet . She works very hard to keep it clean and is there if you have questions.

  • John Elliott rated it 3/5: If your into a wholesome family laundromat then this might not be the place. If you grew up in Winston and you are used to the general Winston Salem shenanigans and you need to do laundry then this might be the spot. It gets a little busy during daylight hours but at night time it clears out to where it’s just you and some tweakers running around doing mildly crazy stuff. I have also noticed in the winter time it becomes a refuge for some of the local homeless people to get out of the cold at night time.
So there might be puddles of water on the floor and sometimes the change machines are broken but the machines usually work like expected. It serves its purpose and then some.
  • Richard Harris rated it 2/5: I got good service advice but I can't believe I had to use quarters to do my laundry.
  • Taylor rated it 1/5: Crawling with homeless people. Need to close like at 9pm or 10pm. It is so inconvenient to have to be so uncomfortable going into laudromats now at night. They make such a mess. Attendants
need to come in at night to make sure these crowds of people aren't destroying property and increasing the risk of bed bugs

Edna Hayes rated it 1/5: I like do laundry here until this incident. I used the wash for $8.75 and used the hot water setting which was suppose to be an extra .50. I used my debit card. I called my. Account to check the balance. My card was charged $10 twice. I called my bank to confirm it was not a hold set by them. My bank said it was taken by the laundry machine. Which I would have to handle that with the owner. I say this to those who think I dont have time to get cash. Never use the machines with your debit or credit card. You will be overcharged. Bring quarters or just go somewhere else.

  • ronnie graham rated it 5/5: Update: So I came in this Evening to Accomplish Laundry. The Wash was Fine ☺️ but I'm Fairly Confused as to Why This Particular Dryer isn't Producing HOT HEAT… The Clothes have been Drying for 52 minutes and the Clothes are still wet… Unfortunately I'm not able to switch dryers because it's Sunday and All the other Dryers are Taken. With 5 minutes left I guess I might as well let it finish. 😢 I too am SORRY this has Transpired. 😢 OUTSIDE OF THIS, This Establishment is USUALLY VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED, Wide Open and Camera visibility seems to be IMPECCABLE.
  • Krysta Siciunas rated it 4/5: Definitely I am very excited that there is a laundromat in King now. The only reason I am taking one star off is the fact that the dryers burnt more than one item of mine because it got so stinking hot and I turned down the heat to low. Other than that, it has been a good experience the few times I had to go.
  • Nawal Javaid rated it 2/5: Dirty wet floors, homeless people always sleeping in here. No bathroom no one to talk to if the machine takes your money and doesn’t work. We’ve used the dryers there and sometimes it’ll spin and take our money but won’t heat up…we come back an hour later to wet clothes still

Super affordable – will definitely be using again!
  • slywall12 rated it 5/5: This is definitely an upgrade from the previous Laundromat I use to go to. So clean and spacious. The machine and dryers are so nice. They even have chairs at every folding station for you to sit down. This will be my new Laundromat.

  • Darian Jones rated it 2/5: Been a customer here for over 3 years and the new staff is horrible rude and lack customer service skills. One staff particularly sits on her phone every time I’m there and sits and talks about customers and When you need help she always has a excuse on why she can’t do this and that her attitude sucks quite frankly. The machines don’t work as well as they use to.
  • Anika rated it 1/5: The employees here have really nasty attitudes and like to move peoples belongings without permission or posted noticed. The women with the tattoos has a disgusting attitude and wasn’t friendly at all. The girl with the red hair wasn’t friendly either. Both need to work on customer service ! If your going to remove people’s clothes form dryers at least have a posted warning or noticed that this is likely to happen. It’ weird and rude to know that someone has touched my belongings without my permission !

Sarah S rated it 5/5: Linda at Shores is who you need to alter your wedding dress. She has decades of experience with this and you won't find better. Linda can tell you what alterations you need and flawlessly execute them. When I first put on my dress (which was a complicated one with lots of lace) I honestly had second thoughts about how it felt and looked on me (the larger size felt and looked so different than the one I tried at the store) but by the time she was done with alterations I felt so beautiful in it that I wore it the whole reception rather than changing into a different outfit per the original plan. My wedding planner friend commented that it was the best bustle she had ever seen. Linda also helped me decide on some accessories and was flexible with me coming in a few extra times when I had to change shoes etc. and gave her honest opinion on a few things just like a true friend would.

  • Kristin Ranson Camel City Realtor rated it 5/5: My puppy chewed holes in my down comforter. Shores was able to mend and to clean it.
Shores has done a lot of cleaning and mending for us over the years. The employees are friendly and knowledgeable. We have had clothes altered, dry cleaned and pressed. Shores has also cleaned futon covers and bedding for us. We have been customers for 20+ years. We think very highly of Shores!
  • Annette Johnson rated it 5/5: Great cleaning services for my daughter’s wedding dress. The packaging, before/after pictures, and the turn around were all great. Highly recommend.
  • Debbi Moseley rated it 5/5: Shores is dedicated to customer service. Everyone has been very friendly and professional. I have been using them for several years and I love the extra details they provide to their dry cleaning/laundry services such as tissue stuffed sleeves in women’s silk or linen blouses. Their prices are a little higher than other cleaners but you get what you pay for- higher quality hangers, extra attention to fine fabrics, hand pressed bed linens and excellent customer service. I also highly recommend Shores to clean and preserve a wedding dress and veil. Linda, the talented seamstress at Shores does wonderful alterations. Traci, at the counter, has great customer service. She is wonderful!!!
  • Maria Palmer rated it 2/5: I just moved to this area and was looking for a good dry cleaner to get a few things dry cleaned with no time restriction. I had one mens suit , one mens dress shirt, and a female sweater (nothing crazy high end- just a normal sweater) and it was $56!!! I was never told ahead of time of the price, given I didn’t explicitly ask, but for that price that should have been conveyed. There was no starch requested or any other special request- just regular dry cleaning. I picked up the order so there was no delivery fee either. The dry cleaning was done in 2 business days which is great- but I didn’t not put a rush or anything that would have added a rush fee, etc. I have been to many many dry cleaners in my life and never have I ever been charged this much for regular dry cleaning for

Gigi Collins rated it 1/5: If I could give zero stars I would ! Place is completely disgusting, I saw a cockroach and a spider during my visit. Machines AREN'T cleaned out , once I started putting my clothes in lots of pet hair was flying out and getting all over my clothes. I immediately took my clothes out and ran out to my car to go somewhere else!! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE IF YOU HAVE ANY STANDARDS AT ALL!

Most relevant reviews:

  • Sanya Mills rated it 4/5: Some of the washing machines don't work. Half of them have notes that it doesn't work. Same for dryers. However the big dryers in the back are really good and doesn't take a long time to dry a big load. I hate going here sometimes because it's always packed. There is never a down time however I was in and out in no time. Beats washing 7 loads at home with one washer. They do have very large washing machines that can wash 2 down comforters at a time. And the dryers that do work, gets my clothes dry in no time. All in all it's a laundromat so I can't expect others not to come when I'm there. The lady that is usually there is very good with customer service and if a washer or dryer isn't working for you she will accommodate you❣️
  • tra young rated it 1/5: DIRTY AND DAMAGED MACHINES.
It's been years since I had to used a laundromat. Being new to the area did research and gave Rainbow a try .
First impress the machines could use a wipe down. Most of the machines were out of service. Found a washer not in use. Wash process was fine, two loads done. Loaded two dyer and…..my load of clothes were DAMAGE due to what the on-site
personnel discovered was ink. She offered a rewash
That did nothing to resolve the problem. Sheshe would let the manager know but no one made contact. I would like compensation for my damages a.d fact there as just another out of order sign on a post added. I a know my agents are no longer wearable

  • Andrea Leigh rated it 1/5: We are from out of town, we needed clean clothes, I always wash our clothes in cold water, after the washing I was pulling them out and they were hot feeling, & then the dryers.. they need to put up a sign for saying how much time a quarter gives you, whoever the owner or manager is, this is literally the worst Rainbow laundromat my family has been to. It is convenient, however I should've listened to my husband and kept making that wrong turn. Today there is also washing machines and dryers out of service. A broken Pepsi machine still on.. not usable(looked like someone tried to break in and steal the money)
  • TaRon Thomas TV rated it 1/5: DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION. The machines here are a hit and miss. I had my money taken from a machine here. 2.25 cents worth! Not to mention; there is a homeless guy I believe that lives in the laundromat. I use to be homeless my self so I don’t judge, nor do I care. However, to be harassed when you are just trying to stop by and clean your clothes is terrible. And, the dryers are nastily unkept. I almost didn’t want to place my clothes in there.

Brittney Dwyer rated it 2/5: Washing is usually no problem, but 30 of their 60 dryers are broken and have been for a long time. Last few times I came here, the wait for even ONE dryer was more than I had time or patience for, so I ended up leaving aggravated, with wet clothes.

  • Carlos Bonilla rated it 1/5: Staff keep holding all usable dryers, and holding others for friends. The majority of the dryers are out of order, and a quarter of the washing machines don't work either. This place used to be a good place to do laundry, it has worsened from our first time here, to the point where we are going somewhere else.
  • Melody Miller rated it 1/5: Yes, you dry for free. If you don't mind waiting for hours. Because, as you can see in the photo; 80-90% of their dryers are out of order!

Key Tate rated it 5/5: Love this place always Clean and Comfortable The owner is Super sweet Man!!

Most relevant reviews:

  • Daniel Winkels rated it 5/5: This is my favorite laundromat in town for a few reasons:

    1. The prices are reasonable. It’s $2.50 for a smaller load, $3.50 for a moderate one (essentially all my laundry for the week), and $4.50 for a large load.

    2. John (the owner) and the other lady who works here (his wife?) are really nice. They primarily speak Korean, but they always smile and say, “Hi! How are you?” when I get there.

    3. It feels pretty safe. They have cameras and John is vigilant about telling anyone who comes in off the street that they can’t hang around and ask people for money (Maya came in once and asked people for money a couple months back but she left soon after and I haven’t seen her since). My perception that this is a safer laundromat seems verified by the fact that I’ve seen young women come in here by themselves to do laundry.

    4. There’s a decent amount of seating and there are a bit of tables to fold laundry on (and also do work on with my laptop while I wait).

    5. They always play Christian music from K-Love. It’s not what I typically listen to, but it reminds me of my childhood so it’s a nostalgic little part of my laundromat tradition. I also imagine that the music helps to set a vibe that promotes a safer and more calm environment. So while it’s not my favorite music, it’s what I would choose if I owned a laundromat.

It can get busy starting at 10 or 11 and the washer type you want may not be immediately available after that. So I typically try to get there a little early before the rush.

  • Key Tate rated it 5/5: Love this place always Clean and Comfortable The owner is Super sweet Man!!
  • Lauren Carter (Candi) rated it 4/5: When I washed my clothes everything was all good they smelled great then I put them in the dryer when I took them out they smelled funky but the people that work there are nice except they don't speak English
  • OneCreepyAzWeeknd Shonen rated it 2/5: My second visit. The first was fine until today. Do not accuse me of something that doesn't belong to me. There are signs says shoes do not belong in the dryer. I literally just walked in and was washing my linen…where tf do you see shoes? I can resd, been reading since I was 4…there were people near the dryers but you walk across the room to tell at me about shoes that don't belong to me. I know what to put in each washer. You shouldn't have to bug me about it because hello I understand how to read signs unlike your other customers. I may not return here. There are far better facilities than this one. Oh and there is a reason why I have headphones on.
  • Mary Lacy rated it 1/5: I don't like how the Chinese Man treated me. I'm a Black Woman and l ask to use the Bathroom to wash my hands he stood right there until was done. You need a key to use
0the Bathroom if you are a paying Customer as long as you doing your "Laundry." I did not like my experience there at all, at all…. He was awful….

Carmen Stinson rated it 5/5: I've used this laundromat several times over the years, during periods of time when my home machine was broken. On the occasion this morning, I had the good fortune to meet the owner, Roland. I was able to personally let him know what a clean facility this location always is. The very few inoperable machines are always clearly marked & then quick to be repaired. The restroom facilities are always clean, the coin & laundry detergent machines are always stocked & the staff are friendly. The experiences here take the drudgery out of doing laundry.

  • The Gas Man rated it 5/5: Great place to do your laundry always friendly helpful staff. Clean machines and the clean location restrooms are available for those use the facility. Washing machine stopped at 2:25 to load from a small load with no additional charge for hot water cycle. They have jumbo machines which are $5 per cycle. Try us take quarters and depending on your clothes depends on the amount you'll spend.

  • Tim Thomas rated it 5/5: I have done my laundry here for a little over 2 years now. The staff is friendly, especially the owner who drops in and out throughout the day. He speaks to customers and has a good attitude. The facility is clean, and they have lots of washers and dryers to accommodate everyone. You can even drop your laundry off and have them wash your clothes for you. I also like the location because there are other businesses nearby that you can visit to kill time until your clothes finish. Highly recommended!
  • David “Dee” Williams rated it 5/5: I've been coming here for approximately 9 months, this is probably the cleanest, laundromat I've used. The staff is very friendly and will always make change for you if the coin machines are full. Definitely the friendliest laundromat I've ever been to in N. C.

It serves purpose in more ways than one. 👀 2 The experience alone will make you want to bleach everything you own✨, 3 if you like the back of the Greyhound bus next to the bathroom 20 plus hours💨… don't sleep 😳and like to meet the local skeezers..😬 Pop on into 🌈 Lawn dry mats.. Where its creep week… Every week🚷
  • Ray Mone rated it 1/5: It isn’t a laundromat… It’s a shelter! No night time supervision at all. Homeless men everywhere!!!!! Dirty floors, bathrooms, washers & dryers. It’s sad bc this is the only laundromat on the east side & it’s disgusting! Roaches coming out the dryers. They need help! The most disturbing part is it’s not supposed to be open 24 hours yet, it is. I went in there for the last time tonight. This place could be so great if they had someone in there at night to keep the homeless out, the floors clean & trash not overflowing and on the floor. This place is getting worse and worse every visit!
  • venus Gordon rated it 1/5: big rip off for such a nasty place. 5.00$ for a 14 min wash and 25 cents for 5 min dyers. homeless shelter when I arrived very old everything
