Rachael and her partner ( I am terrible with names) did an awesome Premium clean so I decided to have them back every 4 weeks. Because I’m a senior and use an UpWalker there are somethings I just can’t do any longer. Having these Ladies out once a month helps me to maintain my independence in the environment I need and am comfortable in. This month a different team came but the job was not completed as expected so I called the company and politely explained my dissatisfaction. No excuses were made, no stalling to make the situation better. The next day Rachael and her partner came and provided the expected service. I have requested they be my regular team which is part of the service provided by 2 Maids and a Mop. Yes I found it wonderful to be able to have the same team each time but even more important if you the customer are unhappy with the service this company works quickly to fix it. That means a great deal.

The housekeepers themselves (a team of 3, one being a trainee) were excellent. They did a great job. They were efficient, hard-working, professional, and highly skilled. They left the house sparkling clean, and showed great respect for our personal property along the way. They checked in with me for a walk-through before they left, to make sure that the job met my expectations. I liked them, felt comfortable with them, and thought they did a great job. There are two reasons I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, and they are both related to the company, not the housekeepers. 1) I didn't really know when the team would arrive. I booked an AM arrival window of 8 – 11 AM. All website and email info said I would receive a follow-up from the company confirming a 1-2 hour arrival window. I did not receive that call, so I was just hanging around waiting to see when they would show (which was at 9 AM, and that was totally fine with me). 2) This cleaning was really expensive. I expected a deep-clean to be fairly expensive, and I'm glad that I did it. But when I called to inquire about future ongoing service, the price quote was still pretty high. We have a well-maintained home, so I was surprised at what weekly/bi-weekly cleaning would cost. Add to that steep quote the fact that you aren't paying the housekeepers directly (so you're adding a tip on top of the rate), and I'm not sure we'll choose to continue with them. It's too bad, because I think the level of service was good, and I genuinely liked the team that was here. But we're going to have to do some price-shopping before continuing with maintenance cleaning services.

I understand stuff happens and I would hate to hurt someone’s business because of one bad experience. However, I’m still compelled to write about my experience in hopes of helping someone who can’t risk to waste 280 bucks on a cleaning service that they’d be dissatisfied with.
I have a 700 sqft apartment and paid 280 (w/ tip) and did not receive the “deep clean” as advertised. After the cleaning, I called and sent them pics of my dirty rug, dust on my shelves, crumbs in my kitchen, and untouched stains left on my counter and coffee table among other things. This is not mentioning the many things which were untouched like the inside of my cabinets, top of the refrigerator, ceiling fan, my windows (same smudges), etc… I was offered a second reclean (free of charge) but was disappointed to come back to a still dusty fridge top, the same water stains on my coffee table, smudges on my window, and many more. I expected a service costing 280 would get into the nitty and gritty of my apt; instead, I got a subpar service that seemed rushed. I also want to note that my apartment was relatively clean and not some dump before the cleaning.
Overall, my experience was very disappointing. I understand that my experience could be the result from just having one bad crew cleaning my apartment. But after, having a different crew come and neglect the same vital areas confirmed my ambivalence with this company. This is not an attempt to get my money back or anything; I just wanted to share my experience. I have used other cleaning services before and have never had a problem with their service. I also want to note that, the person I spoke with was very friendly and understanding of my situation.

I tried to be nice and pointed the issues to the management as I wasn't present during the cleaning. They sent someone out another day however, nothing really changed. Basically no shelves, fridge or stove was cleaned at all. You have a better chance of cleaning it yourself and save $400. Unlike they advertise it seems like they are not using any special/good cleaning products and just have a damp cloth which they don't even use everywhere. They also make you tip the staff DURING booking and not after the service is complete. There is no refunds and upon seeing the pictures I was told "Those stains won't come out" to grease stains on the stove and backsplash, dust on the doors and inside the shelves. And this is supposed to be professional cleaning company.

We did have one issue in the beginning where the sink wasn’t cleared/cleaned but after mentioning it on our first follow up call, they corrected their mistake and have been providing a stellar service. My wife and I are excited to come home to a freshly cleaned house every other Monday. We have security cameras and we noticed one day that Mandy went above and beyond the scope of her work to clear the spiderwebs above the front door. Another instance, we both had to leave for work when our new puppy was acting strange that morning and we were hesitant to leave her by herself. We texted Mandy and her team asking if they could check in on the puppy that morning and they happily obliged. They responded saying that they had checked up on her upon arriving and she was back to her happy-go-lucky self. We were recommended several cleaning services once we decided to pull the trigger. I found that none of the trim or other millwork in the entire house had been cleaned also not a single stick of furniture had been cleaned under including the kitchen and dining room table. As well as the kitchen floor was still visibly. The person in charge refused payment, but I did end up having to spend my day cleaning the house myself

They were very thorough and paid attention to detail, listened to my requests, and did everything exactly as I wanted. They did a great job and really made out home look spotless. I'm pretty sure my floors have never been so clean! Very impressed and will be using them again in the future.

Tammy the manager has always been friendly and a pleasure to talk to. debra boyd rated it 1/5: I used this service to clean a house I had just bought. I went to the house the next day to check and it did not even look like it had been cleaned. There was dust and dead bugs in the window seals, white doors that had dirt and grease still on them, spider webs throughout. I spoke with someone who was the manager/owner and sent her pics of the subpar job, she did offer to come back and re-clean but why would I want you to come back when the first job was done so poorly. It was cleaned like they were in a rush and just did not care. I would never use them again nor recommend them to anyone.

They came out and did a walk through with my wife and agreed on the scope of services needed. On the day the cleaning was scheduled, the team showed up on time and were ready to work. I was very impressed by the energy and the attitude displayed. Their attention to detail was very professional and the quality of the work was superb.
After reviewing the work after they left, my wife and I decided to sign up for bi-weekly service.
G Piola rated it 1/5: I contacted the company to do a deep clean on 3 bathrooms in an older home that was empty. It was previously a rental house that my daughter had bought. I was quoted $300. They were great in that they set me up for the next day. The crew can in and was very professional and polite. 3 girls, 3 three bathrooms. They were there less than an hour.
This house was a rental so that is why I wanted a “deep clean”. What I got was a simple cleaning. There was nothing deep about it. I talked with the one girl who seemed to be in charge and pointed out that floor was not really clean. She passed the flat mop back over the floor stating that they did the best they could considering the age of the house. I contacted the owner who again stated that because of the age of the house they really could not get grout or floor any cleaner. Well there was dirt partials and hair still on floor after they left. It was still dirty. I took a Clorox cleanup cloth and scrubbed a small area and got up gunk off the floor. My complaint is that it was not a deep clean and the overall job was fair. I hate to put a bad review because the girls were so nice but it is what it is. I do have to say the owner lowered the price to $175.

Mark Looney rated it 3/5: Utilized the company for a deep cleaning of a new home we had purchased. Paid $660 for the cleaning. Two ladies showed up and performed the work. That evening I came back and did a walk thru and had a good impression. However walking thru a few days later in daytime I saw the streaky windows and discovered multiple shelves and drawers that were not cleaned. At the price, I would have expected a more professional job.

My wife is a stroke survivor, and this year has put a lot of stress on her, so I called Two Maids and a Mop to have them deep clean our guest suite for the holidays to take at least one thing off of my wife's plate. The two ladies did a terrible job. They did not clean the ceiling fan. They did not clean the blinds. They did not clean the baseboards. They did not dust the furniture. They vacuumed, but did not so much as push the vacuum cleaner under the edge of the bed. We ended up re-cleaning the entire suite ourselves.

Shortly after the cleaners left, my wife began receiving calls demanding payment. She asked them to call my number which they should have done anyway since I was the one who ordered the service, but for some reason, they never figured out how to call me instead of her.

I called the office and spoke with Tracy about how bad of a job the cleaners had done. She offered to cut our price in half and give us a free premium clean. She said that a manager would be present for the next clean.

I scheduled the free cleaning a few weeks later with the understanding that since we had just cleaned the entire guest suite ourselves, we would ask them to clean a comparable area in the main living space.

When the ladies arrived for the second cleaning, my wife noticed that it was the same two ladies who had done such a terrible job the first time. There was no manager present.

When the ladies came to the door, my wife asked them to take their shoes off or wear booties since we do not allow shoes in the main living areas of our house. This is a standard policy for people like my wife who grew up in Asia. There is a large Asian population in Birmingham, and we have never had any problem with other service providers complying and either removing their shoes or wearing booties. The ladies from Two Maids and a Mop, however, refused to remove their shoes and claimed that they did not have any booties to wear. The ladies called their office, and Tracy called my wife to tell her that the ladies would only clean if they were allowed to wear their shoes throughout the house.

This type of performance and attitude is completely inexcusable, and we will never use this company again.
