Michael Serges rated it 5/5: Uptown Automotive is by far the best automotive shop in Houston… On 12/20/21, I brought my 2011 Audi A5 in because it wouldn't pass state inspection due to the O2 and Catalytic Converter monitors showing not ready. I didn't have a check engine light and the car was running fine. Before bringing the car to Uptown, I tried all the YouTube fixes to try to remedy the problem, but to no avail. Upon arrival to Uptown, I met Service Advisor, Rick Ortiz. After explaining to Rick the problem I was having, Rick said that he would take care of it. I don't know what Rick did, but he took care of it, as you can see in the before and after photos. Rick called me the next day and said the car was ready and it would be NO CHARGE. Just to give you a little history, this isn't the first time I've used Uptown. Uptown has previously replaced my valve cover gasket and my timing chain on my Audi A5. The service and pricing are great. I highly recommend Uptown Automotive for all your repair needs.

After doing the math and not being set up to paint at this level, plus all the time and wet sanding it would have talen me, I chose to go with Paint A Part. They did a fantastic job matching the color and the new bumper fit perfectly!! They have 15 days from time of ordering, but I received it in about a week, so they're fast! Customer Service was excellent! When ordering, the order form appeared to change my requested paint number. I emailed them immediately but was reassured they did receive the requested paint color. I was a bit concerned with paints cracks from the bumper being folded up in a much smaller box when I recived it. However, there were instuctions stating to apply heat and it would form back into its orginal postion. It did and no cracks in the paint or plastic at all! I could have gotten a cheaper bumper but by the time I geared up to paint it and all time it would have taken to wet sand it, I'd had way more time and money in it! I'd highly recommend you crunch your total cost before ordering and then compare that to what Paint A Part can do. I fully recommend them! The car looks new again and its a 2015!

Got it on sale for $339 (free shipping and apparently no tax), which I believe is at that price because of the painting process adding an extra $250 cost to the base part. I tried searching around for other options before, but there were many dead ends. From the part being super-expensive, to being the wrong color, to being unable to be shipped to my location. It should've been easier to find an original OEM part elsewhere, but no such luck at the moment. Paint A Part did well here, with the bumper looking brand new and all. 🙂

Their process to order was easy and straightforward.
After I received the email letting me know that it was ready for pickup (one week later), I drove over to get it. The shop was what I would expect, the people were friendly and professional, and getting it was easy.

I have a little paint peeling in the lower corner/recessed areas of the bumper, so I should probably bring it by for them to look at, but overall, I'm thrilled with the outcome.

Mike Finnerty rated it 3/5: So I purchased a painted bumper with this company bumper came folded which cracked the paint where my headlights go and bent the plastic. The paper inside package says to put it in the sun to bend it back but its not going to fix the cracking paint which will be noticed when I install the headlights. Not a good way to ship a bumper with fresh paint. Will not do business with this company again. Also my old bumper has fog lights and this one did not come with the holes and went back to my order and the picture is the one with the fog light holes.
Update: So customer service got back to me very quickly to resolve the issue and refund my money I just had to cut up the bumper and send pics to them which I did. I will say that folding the bumper was my only complaint. If they fix the problem the they are golden.

Spoke to two employees and they said nothing can be done! She told me to look at all the cars in the lot and they all have bubbles!!! REALLY!! What kinda thing is that to tell a customer who paid good money….. and not the minimal package. We were told there was no one else to speak to…..they all (employees in the office) had final say. We were told there is no one else to speak to above them!
They said it would be $$$$$ to buff and wet sand the bubbles out(a ridiculous amount I don’t even want to post). She said I could get it done at a body shop for a few hundred dollars. We were willing to leave it till the booth opened, but they didn’t even entertain the thought. So friendly and helpful to get the job….but a nice big “screw you”regarding customer satisfaction.
oiya neely rated it 1/5: The worst place I have ever been to! The work was not done efficiently. I was told my car would be done by a certain time, but it took a whole two more weeks to be done. No one was updating me on the status, I had to keep calling up there to make sure everything was good and I received new information that they knew of for a week and did not let me know. My bumper fell off the same day they fixed it, and they gave me my car back with no tire after they told me it was ready. When I got to the place, they said they needed to order the tire but no one notified me before I came to pick it up. I had to pay for an extra tire elsewhere. They broke my sensor after changing the tire and lied to me about being able to fix it!

Dexter Wyble rated it 1/5: I came into this location with the expectations of good quality work. Archie & Carlos stated the Painting/Labor would take 3weeks. Well (2)months later I was told the vehicle was ready, after many phone calls unreturned and when I did speak with whoever answers the phone,I was always told somebody would contact me.
Mngr-Archie became belligerent when advised the work was Unacceptable and Very poor he walked out the office and told Mngr-Carlos to deal with the situation.

If you need good quality work please do not come to this location.Manipulating customers with factitious turn-around times and poor-quality work all at this location.

David said show up. I pull up just so he can tell me they don't do work on my 83 GMC. He could have said that on the phone instead of wasting my time and gas coming out here, drove 45min just to get turned away without even looking at the truck

Kari Curtin rated it 5/5: We have used Maaco several times for painting and body work—on my Subaru and on my husband's Toyota Sequoia. Most recently we had our Subaru hit and I knew Maaco would provide a fair price: for the guy who hit us, AND I felt they would do a good job. Kevin at Maaco helped me by contacting the nearby Enterprise car rental location, letting them know that we should be given the lower rate that he and Enterprise had agreed upon for work at the Maaco location. I got a full size car to rent on a daily basis at a very low price. The work on our white Subaru Outback was done very well. My car looked almost brand new on the outside, even though it was bought in 2010!
Unpopular Opinions rated it 5/5: Dropped it on Wednesday… told me would take about a week. SUV was ready Friday. Paint and body work was solid. I’ll use these guys again.
Nickola Whittaker rated it 2/5: I initially spoke with Matthew on the phone and in person and he’s the reason why I went ahead with my paint job. I was only going to get my front and back bumper painted but we weren’t sure if they could match the custom paint which I expected so I went ahead and got a full paint change. I picked out my color and kept mentioning red even picked out the paint code. I know nothing about paint so I wouldn’t have known that the color would be brighter when actually mixed together. Instead of red I got bright orange, not a big deal I should have done my research. I also needed them to put the bumpers back on as I was coming from another body shop. The bumper may or may not have come cracked however I had already said I would pay for it. What I did have an issue with was the following:
-led light was out once I got my vehicle back. It was not out when I dropped it off.
– very sloppy as far as dripping dried paint towards bottom of vehicle
– paint on wheels
– paint on mirror
– cracked windshield where tape was removed and is now spreading.
– black marks on vehicle that I was told I could eventually wipe off after paint cured
– underneath front bumper has a black tint
– bumper crack that was discussed before I picked up vehicle not fixed because “he wasn’t told about that one as well” so my bumper is not aligned right. This I was also told to wait until paint cured. The front bumper is also not attached correctly.

Now don’t get me wrong, for the most part the communication and job was decent but for what was spent I feel like a little more effort should have been put in to ensure I wouldn’t have to come back. The time they had my vehicle was short but I would had ratcheted them kept it for longer to ensure the job was done efficiently. I do not bash and I give credit when credit is due. I will not be coming back for them to put a bandaid on what was messed up because it should have been done right the first time.

I am extremely unsatisfied with the service I received; I dropped off my car for a Complete paint job with all the added extras so the paint job would look great and instead got a complete headache! The car was completed with no care and was not inspected before me being handed back my keys.

I ubered to pick up my car the first time and was immediately unsatisfied with the job; there were several paint mistakes and lumps. They also hag over spray on my brakes causing them to become ineffective. They offered to fix it and leave the car for a week. I agreed and ubered back home!

I ubered to pick up my car the second time and observed several swirl marks. The manager stated my car, with a fresh paint job, was buffed with a pad that caused swirls and damaged the clear coat. He offered to fix it again because the worker messed it up , and I agreed.

IF HE KNEW THIS WHY DID HE NOT FIX IT!

I explained to them how much I had been paying in Uber and that this had been a hassle, so he dropped me off at home, which was nice but I wasn't re embursed or offered , but I prayed my paint job would be corrected

I showed up this last time and my car was dirty and had white compound in the grill and the liner under my hood had screws missing and was hanging.. Also the flaps under my car was damaged.

I don't write many reviews, but this one is needed to help someone else!

I lost money and time that I can't get back and a bad paint job and experience!

Benjamin Gomez rated it 5/5: Our car was damaged while it was parked. A 2006 Acura TSX low mileage and well kept. The damage was significant, borderline total. Master Auto worked with what the insurance paid and saved the car. The technicians they have are top notch. They did a marvelous repair. Looks like it was never damaged.
I highly recommend using Master Auto should your vehicle be involved in a collision or just a new paint job.

I scraped the back bumper of my new (used!) Camry in a parking garage at work, found this place on Google and called the number listed. Martin answered and I explained my situation. I sent pictures as directed by Martin. Within an hr he had a quote for me and informed me of what needed to be done. He drove out to my house the NEXT day, arrived on time and started working on my car in my driveway immediately! He matched my car’s paint PERFECTLY! The bumper looks as good as new. The paint was chipped badly in one place, and there were some pretty large scrapes across and on the bottom of the bumper, and there was a plastic strip hanging down from underneath, which he re attached perfectly. He also realigned my bumper cover where it had been popped slightly out of place! In addition, he was done in 4 hours!! That’s it! The other mobile car spot quoted me $200 more than Martin. And the body shop I stopped by yesterday said they would have to keep my car for a minimum of 2 days!

If you have cosmetic damage to your vehicle, I DEFINITELY HIGHLY recommend Martin at On Spot Touch up and Bumper Repair!

Because there was pieces broken off and it looked really damaged, I thought I would have to spend a lot of money to replace the whole front bumper, but he fixed it easily and for an affordable price! He even got the scratches and scuffs out. Looks brand new again! I can’t thank him enough for that. He was friendly, descriptive, explaining in detail about the repair, and most definitely looks out for his customers best interest! I fully recommend On Spot Touch-Up & Bumper Repair and will be contacting him for any future repairs I need done. Thanks again!

Alex DiSaggio rated it 5/5: I just used Tim to paint my new 2 bedroom highrise unit and WOW!! I cannot tell you how impressed I was. I initially hired someone else, and halfway through the first day, I realized it was not going to work out with them. I needed to find a new person asap because I only had 3 days from that point to get the job done. I actually got in touch with Tim after hours that day around 7pm, couldn't believe he was still working. I had called many other places earlier that day and most didn't even answer the phone during business hours let alone at 7pm at night, so that impressed me right off the bat. Tim got out there the very next day and his crew got to work. They worked all day and all night to get the job done on time (and I even through some curve balls at them because I added the closet and ceilings to the job after I saw how nice everything was looking). Not only did they get the job done quick, but the price was really good, and the quality was perfect – I am amazed at how good of a job they did and I love my new home because of them!! It was a very ugly mustard yellow color before and the unit now looks completely different with the white we chose and the work that Tim and his crew did. I don't usually write reviews, but as a real estate agent and broker, I have seen a lot of bad paint jobs, including the guys I had at my place just before I hired Tim, so I had to write this review because I am so impressed with the job the did!! The estimate was fair and competitive and his crew did excellent work. He is a great communicator and handled any concern which I presented. I will definitely call him about my next project!
John Evans rated it 5/5: Really hard to come to terms to spend $9k in painting, however moving into this new home I knew the cancer wouldn't come again to paint ceiling, walls, doors, crown molding, base boards and closets.
Prep work is the longest and most important part of painting. They did not slack in the lightest. The attention to detail was next level. Best money we've spent on the new home. Will use again!! Mr. Martinez always made himself available when I could be at the house sending pictures or text messages with updates.

The house is three story; the team navigated within my small property line using major extension ladders without incident. They also used high-end piston type sprayer instead of air gun which controlled my over spray concerns.
Joseph Robison rated it 1/5: Cant speak to his skills or quality of work because we didnt use him due to his utter lack of morals. We had some drywall damage and mold due to an AC leak. He was planning on repairing what was needed , but then his eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store when he found out State Farm was involved. He wanted to replace entire walls, trim that was unaffected, and other drywall that was unaffected. Due to the mold, State Farm declined the repairs. Mr Martinez, wouldn't give us an estimate until we agreed to give him our insurance info. I tried telling him it was out of pocket, but its like he already had that big insurance payout in his head and wouldn't let go. We ended up using another company.
