Had to have toilet replaced and drain work and the tech Ethan did a wonderful and professional job. When a defect was discovered, Ethan and the company without hesitation replaced at no cost. He is extremely knowledgeable, does great work, and is very courteous. I love that he wanted to make sure I was a satisfied customer before he left. I highly recommend Smith for any plumbing job (Ethan if you can get him. I had a kitchen faucet replaced years ago by another tech and they were excellent too so must be a great company to work for!) He was able to validate my concerns that he could smell the odor, diagnose the issue, and provide me with written notes to use as I discuss this with the property manager. I ended up with frozen and busted pipes because there was no heat in the house. the day they decided to install the furnace they bombarded my cell with calls for 2 hours while I was in bed to collect a non covered payment. I will be contacting the better business bureau soon
Paid $755 for non cover warranty and they would only replace the furnace not the A coil plus $100 for service call.
plus the warranty which is $1400 plus for 2 years.
New Furnace costs $1500 including the A coil and with installation
so I gave them $2255 whereas I could have sent $1500 and saved over $700
When they called(10 times ) started at 8 AM they gave me 0 notice and were very rude and told me that they're policy was to collect payment first before installing the unit, I called a week before that and volunteered to pay but was told by the manager that payment can be made after installation…
I paid for the best warranty according to the regional sales person. Obviously it didn't cover punch of things one of them was the flue pipe which I was charged $755 for a simple pipe. The tech installed it 30 minutes
They also told me they don't take online payment but when the manager was there she said they do. When she was off they told me they don't have online payment. They pressure you to cough the payment before they do repairs, Otherwise the tech will leave the house if you don't make the payment on the spot which was what happened with me. The tech left because I didn't make the payment when they called me at 8 Am
lastly when I asked about the labor warranty they said 30 days Only
after 30 days you will have to pay another $100 for them just to come look at it. Before you buy a warranty make sure to read the fine prints and ask about their exclusions

The first appointment for repair was called for on Friday and the technician was at the work site on Monday at 9 as planned. He began to dig where the water was standing in the yard and once he reached the pipe he recommended we call American leak detection, to see where they think the leak was coming out. The issue I have with it, is the leak was about 2 feet into the flower bed that we told the technician to feel free to dig into to. This would have saved us a weeks worth of waiting on the next appointment available for the leak detection company to be able to come out and the $375 bill for them to find the leak that was just 2 feet from where the technician was digging initially. In addition the technician gave us bad advice that the leak detection company was $450 but that he could get the price down to $375. The leak detection company said Hiller tech could not say that much less honor that for another company. He should not tell this to customers going forward. In addition to the excessive amount of water loss to the extra week of water leaking the follow issues were also added to the stress of waiting the week for repair. Customer was only 3 weeks from knee replacement surgery and the tech stated the leak could be in the slab of the house so the rooms between initially dig spot and house water cut off had to be cleared in case they had to jack hammer into the slab in order to fix the problem. The customers also have asthma issues and the stress of needing to move furniture and possible concrete dust from Jack hammering was very stressful. We had to cancel family gathering from out of town due to water issue to the house and have to move furniture out of the room for possible slab work. All I’m saying is all this could been avoided if the tech would have dug a couple feet more feet toward the porch. The tech was a good worker, respectable and informative. There was no issue with him professionally or personally but all techs should do all they can on the front end to find the problem to satisfy the customer experience.

In my case, our shower stopped working. I called on a Saturday around 10 am and I was set up with an appointment that day. William came and diagnosed the issue. He got the right parts and installed it.

I got very clear estimates on how much it would cost and what was wrong. It was all clearly explained by William.

Our previous plumber had retired so we just didn’t have anyone. I am so thankful that we do no now!

I tried Liquid Plumber type solution, with no luck. Husband undid pipes under sink in U-drain, and “snaked” it with 3 different tool lengths. Nothing. Called Greenway (as they had done an outdoor plumbing fix for us a few months ago). Nothing available til “tomorrow afternoon”, but took it. Called back a few hours later with an AM cancellation, and took that. Office staff very polite & actually understands the “urgency” of such issues. Cheapest Service charge out there, and both reasonable/fair in pricing, and prompt/courteous in services. Did not leave a mess behind. Even ran D/W to be sure it didn’t back up in sink after his “big gun” machine finally cleared a monstrous clog. Very grateful for Greenway- highly recommend!!

But the sales guy quoted me over 15k for a duel system replacement and “threw” in a new thermostat, pad, plasma unit, a new surge protector. I don’t need all of that. Just the system. When asked about paying cash what would my price be, he continued to push financing and didn’t answer my question. So the technician Zach was good and professional but we ended up going with another company because that price is extremely over what other places quoted me at 8500.

Called Roto Rooter and they had someone at my house right after the first call. They took care of the clean up, their plumber came out same day and installed a new water heater. We were at least livable again by that afternoon. Very professional, highly recommend. Came out each day during the dry out phase to check on everything. I will never use anyone else. Nice to see a company with values and treat you and the job with respect. Got plumbing or damage restoration call them and you will be very satisfied!

While it had nothing to do with him, the cost was extremely high and should not have been that much. $375 for less than 30 minutes is ridiculous.

dmg rated it 5/5: A coworker recommended Automatic when I knew I had at least 1 ruptured pipe after our big freeze in Dec. 2022. Here's how it went from start to finish:
• I filled out their online "Get a Call Back" form and got a confirmation email.
• Kim called, made sure she understood all the info, got me on the schedule for the next day, and let me know I'd get a text when they were on their way. They also sent an email confirming the app't.
• 30 min into my 2-hr window, I got a text giving me the lead plumber's name and letting me know he was on his way.
• When Dustin arrived, he greeted me by name, checked again to make sure he had all the info about the known issue, and gave me a rundown of how they'd proceed.
• At each stage of the process, Dustin let me know what they'd found, what my options were, and what the approx cost would be for each. (He also showed me phone pics of what they were seeing so I didn't need to be a 3rd body in a space built for 1.)
• When everything was taken care of, he walked me again through each repaired item, showed me the work, and—because I'd asked—gave me a heads-up on other items I might want to take care of soon.
• He took payment via app, and I rcvd the itemized invoice immediately.

Note: Accessing this house's crawlspace is NOT a fun thing, and spending a bunch of time in it is, uh, also not a fun thing. For most of this job's 3.5 hrs, 2 guys worked together in that cramped space. A lot of people would've looked at the situation and simply declined to take it on.

Even if this had been a routine job, things couldn't have gone any better from the customer side. Much of the city had been without running water for several days because of water main breaks, and I'm sure nobody at Automatic had a holiday—but they were all super polite and took incredible care with their work. Cannot recommend highly enough.

One company never called back, one guy slammed the front door on the way out, and two companies tried to sell us units they had on hand which were not big enough or energy efficient. Solace was very reasonable in cost compared to other quotes and had what we wanted. We scheduled our appointment online for December 29. They called on December 28 and asked if they could come that afternoon instead. Seth provided us with a quote and offered to install it on December 29, but we needed one day to prepare so it was installed on December 30. The installation team was very nice and polite, cleaned up after themselves, and put on booties every time they entered the house. We had a couple of questions after the job was completed so my husband went into a chat session with Solace December 31 at approximately 9:00 p.m. We didn't expect to hear anything back until after the holiday weekend, but the Manager, Mr. Monroe, emailed my husband that same evening and again January 1. This experience has been 5 STAR in every respect and during a weekend holiday period which is unheard of. We chose the right company to do business with. richard cordo rated it 5/5: Well unfortunately the pipes in our new house of less then 2 months decided to bust during the cold air freeze. So when we came home on Christmas Day with 3 rooms of our house flooded and ceilings caving in we were in shock to say the least.
Thankfully we knew of Traditional Plumbing company who came out first thing the next day, that was considered a holiday for most people and businesses. They came out, assessed the issues and fixed them. It's going to be a process but they have made the recovery part easier. Thanks to Calvin for the great business and Cody for great work!

I called around 10:30am my call was taken by a knowledgeable, kind, considerate, and helpful women who understood the nature of our situation and its urgency for completion. They were able to get someone out right away and he arrived by 1:30pm. The job was completed by 3pm and they really saved the day! The plumber was professional and efficient. The price was also very reasonable even though it was a last-minute call. I would HIGHLY recommend Traditional Plumbing and will be calling them in the future for any plumbing needs.
