Very informative to me as a new house owner too. Price was slightly higher than maybe some local private plumbers, but the speed of arrival and the quality of the work was worth it. They run a camera down the pipes after unclogging it and check for any other issues and explained everything after.

Secondly, they cleaned up everything. The debris from the pipe, the wall was hosed down after the installation, the garbage can they used was hosed down and washed and even the sidewalk where debris from the drop cloth came off was swept and hosed down. Our pipe is working extremely well! William even educated me on some of the pipes in the basement. Sofia Kou rated it 5/5: Will and Gene came to our house for a very difficult job involving diagnosing and replacing leaking and rusted heating pipes buried underground. They were prompt, professional, clean, polite and knowledgeable. The job took 2 days to complete and they made sure everything was working properly and in good condition before they left. On the final day they stayed until 10:30pm to finish the job and make sure we had heat and hot water before the temperatures really dropped. I would recommend this company to friends and family and will continue to use them for any plumbing, heating and air conditioning needs in the future. Will and Gene were phenomenal and a pleasure to have in our home. They left the house spotless when they were done.

I am updating my rating from 1 star to 4 based on subsequent contact with Petri. It is now pretty clear to me that my bad experience was an honest mistake, a one off. I base this on the reaction of Petri's to my complaint and to my low rating. I received a number of emails from the company, including from the owner, explaining the mistake and apologizing profusely.

Many of you might think, "Of course they are apologizing, they want to get a higher rating from you." Common sense, but in my experience, not common practice. Many, if not most, of the plumbers I have dealt with do not seem to care, or are not set up to respond to complaints by their customers in a meaningful way. There are plenty of other customers for them not to worry about the occasional complaint.

I think that when a company who reacts towards me as Petri has, it shows that their reputation is a priority for them. Although I did not get to hire them for this particular job, I suspect that this overreaction to follow up and redress their mistake and to maintain their reputation are good indicators of what kind of company I would be dealing with in the future. Together with the other comments about the quality of their actual work, I would have no problem recommending them to anybody else.
Ashleigh Winter rated it 2/5: Our technician was fantastic and a complete professional. However, Petri's prices are highway robbery. $560+ to replace a toilet hose and pump ($40 worth of materials) – it took less than an hour. I cannot recommend them to anyone.

My boiler was not working properly and he was knowledgeable and patient. He showed me how to maintain the boiler. He explained the cause of the issue and made sure that everything was fixed prior to leaving. He told me the cost prior to fixing the issue and i never felt pressure. I highly recommend Bill and this company. I will use them from this point forward. Thank you for ensuring that i am safe and for replacing the parts that will keep my home warm. K McGovern rated it 5/5: This review may be a bit late but as I go through my invoices and records as the year draws to an end, I wanted to make sure to mention that Ranshaw Plumbing and Heating really saved the day for me back in September, and I would recommend them highly to anyone looking for a quality plumbing service in the area. My old water heater sprang a leak that managed to flood the basement. It was pretty awful but I called Ranshaw and the wonderful Gigi really helped me out, calmed me down, and got service to my house the next morning. Gigi, you are the unsung hero of Ranshaw! I hope they know what a gem they have in you. The Ranshaw crew showed up promptly and got everything fixed quickly and efficiently. They also replaced a valve that would not close all the way (which added to the flooding woes), installed the new water heater and took the old one away so I did not have to deal with that. Now the hot water is great and plentiful, heats up right away. I only wish I had called them BEFORE the leak! But that's on me, and Ranshaw really helped alleviate a bad situation quickly, which was and is much appreciated.

Cap Baby rated it 5/5: Because of the new gas inspection regulation, we had to find a gas line inspector who would confirm we were up to par.
After calling 4 other places, I came across Nationwide Plumbers and spoke with David. He knew exactly what regulation I was referring to and after taking some information, was able to access what zone I was in and the deadline for the certification. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and very accommodating in terms of appointments. They send text messages to confirm your upcoming appointment, which is usually a window of a few hours. They’re also very responsive whenever you call with questions.
David was the one to actually come and do the inspection and after less than an hour, he was done. He took pictures of pipes/meters and overall area pictures as well as potential minor issues. He also used a gas meter wand (not sure the formal term for the instrument) and checked all the pipes for leaks as well as doorways of apartments.
He was on time, professional and respectful. And eco-friendly as he arrived on a scooter 🛵 but considering gas prices these days….also very smart!!
They also weren’t as pricey as I thought it would be (thankfully 😁), which includes sending certification to the city agency… only to do this again in 4 years 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Overall good experience with them and would recommend their expertise!!

Krysta, the manager, who answers the phone when you call their number, was superb–professional, pleasant, efficient, and helpful. The plumbers/technicians were highly skilled and explained the details of what they were doing. And they solved the problem quickly. (Shout out to Orjan B. and his able assistant Joe! Many thanks, guys!) I should add that I get an appointment the following day after I called. The plumbers determined that I needed a new pump, which they installed the next day. I'm extremely appreciate of the wonderful service and care I received from Nationwide Plumbers. I highly recommend them.

We were given the option of a quick fix to last us maybe a year before replacement. We opted to replace. Because we called quite late in the evening, we were told someone would be available the next day. So here we are, less than 24hrs after our call to the company and we have a brand-new WH. The guys showed us how much calcium had built up and did a thorough job cleaning up after the mess. Two thumbs up for their speedy service.

The boiler looked like it would explode at any moment, there was a weird second water heater kind-of hooked in, the sewer cleanout was all wrong, there were multiple fire dangers in the way things were vented to the chimney, and all showers/tubs had various issues. Parkset came in with a very reasonable bid. The work was done quickly, with great quality and communication. It was such a good experience, I called them back for a couple more projects.

We called Parkset Plumbing as a last resort to fix two boilers in our house that stopped working after three other plumbers failed to fix them. It was a very stressful time.. we thought we needed to completely replace the boilers. When Parkset came they assured us that the boilers are fixable, which was good news. When they came to assess the issue they replaced components in each, but the boilers kept shutting off. They came two additional times, at no cost, and finally arrived at the issue- it was in the chimney flue (the original installers did a terrible job apparently and the gas boilers were shutting down for safety). They recommended a chimney company that assessed and fixed the problem, and the boilers have been working beautifully for over two months now. We are finally stress free! Boilers are complicated appliances, they need knowledge and persistence. If you have a stubborn problem with your boilers please do yourself a favor and CALL THEM!

We were taking out a bathtub in our apt in Brooklyn which required a permit and a fully licensed plumber. The company required 50%deposit before starting the project. They sent a guy to check for asbestos and then applied for the license with the DOB. We then found out that to take the tub out the building required architectural drawings which added more expenses to the project so we decided to cancel. When contacted the owner charged us $2000 for what was done and initially refused to itemize the bill. Then he relented lowered his fee to $500 and sent the bill for the 2 contractors (one to check the asbestos, and one to do the DOB licensing) which amounted to about$1000.
So to hire the subcontractors we paid $500!
Not a nice man!

After receiving exorbitant prices for a new hot water heater installation from several other local companies, I did some searching online and discovered Manny and his team at Franco Belli. They came in and not only did a fantastic job, but found a smart solution to my complicated problem that literally saved me several thousands of dollars in the process. And when we had an emergency boiler failure during the coldest day of the year, Manny and his teams were on site immediately, repairing the issue quickly and professionally. It's also nice to deal a company where you can reach the same person every time — and talk to them honestly, with no BS. I am happy to recommend Manny and his team at Franco Belli to anyone in Brooklyn who needs great (and responsive) plumbing and heating services.

They were responsive to us, even tho' I called on the weekend and explained the extra cost for a weekend visit right upfront. We had them come on a weekday and got excellent service. Our system is operating very well: quietly and efficiently. I live in a coop building that has to use Licensed plumbers and after this experience we plan to consider them our "go to" plumbers.

They were helpful, but the work took twice as long as they had estimated, then they tried to charge me for an additional hour. They also left the building’s washing machine waste line disconnected, so it would have flooded our basement if I hadn’t checked it after they left.

Hub Plumbing (Jason and Rich) did an excellent job diagnosing and installing new pipes, drain and other necessary parts to remedy this problem. Due to the fact that we were impressed with Jason’s plumbing skill and knowledge we engaged Hub Plumbing to replace our bathroom toilet, vanity and repair our kitchen drain leak.
Based upon my personal experience, I would highly recommend Hub Plumbing for all your plumbing needs.
lolo saney rated it 5/5: Hub Plumbing and their staff are wonderful ____ We are a NFP company in New York and HUB was so good to us in terms of pricing as well as the delivery of top grade workmanship every time they were here.
We were required to know everything about each project and Jason was very understanding and empathetic. He took his time many times long hours in explaining the highly technical language of changing gas pipes and all that the task involves to us and our engineer patiently, professionally and generously.

Rich is another gentleman who you can trust his expertise and his words. HUB came highly recommended to us about two years ago and we thus feel obligated to pass that recommendation with the highest regard HUB deserves to others who might need a trustworthy and honest plumbing crew. Additionally the people who handle the admin are also so lovely and absolutely on top of their game.

A.G. Berg rated it 2/5: Charged me $800 to snake the sewer main, then failed to close the pipe so it leaked all over our basement. The attention to detail was sorely lacking. When they returned to fix the problem they caused I had to argue them out of charging me for an “emergency weekend visit”. They didn’t want to take responsibility for their poor quality work.
They then told me I needed to steam clean the sewer main ($2000). I had 2 other local companies quote it for $850 and $900.

Not only are they bad at their job but they tried to con us into paying more than double the going rate for a service we didn’t really need.
