When the Cover Care tech got here, he was able to fix the rope within the hour. He was honest about what could be done and gave me options and was straight forward with expectations. Eventually, my cover will need to be replaced and I will not look anywhere else but Cover Care.

Came in to the store feeling like I was going to ask all of the wrong questions and thinking these guys are going to me feel like I was feeling, clueless. Ryan took the time to literally write down specific instructions on each bottle of chemicals I needed and when and why to use them. My hot tub is doing great and my my confidence in taking care of it has too. Thank you Ryan.

Jon Tye rated it 1/5: Very disappointed with Albuquerque Pool and Spas. Their inability to follow through on anything is extreme. Initially, they delayed our opening because of a billing system change over that dropped our appointment. No worries, system changes are major. Got another appointment scheduled just for it to be missed, again. We finally had Brad come out a few days later, got us up running. Was told he would come complete the rest of the work on the following Monday. That was over two months ago and still no sign of Brad. Multiple calls, emails, and text messages to both Brad and Tracy have gone unreturned.
Then, to top it off, we have not received any invoice for the prior work. Well, we finally got it with a large "Past Due" plastered on it. Would have been great to actually see the initial bill. Maybe Brad will see this and come finish the work we
hired him to do.

When I hesitated on giving my email and asked that no unsolicited emails be sent they said “you should find someone else“. If they didn’t have the capacity for new customers or didn’t provide service in my area they should’ve started with that. Getting my contact information and telling me I should find other services is… Well just strange.

Then time showed us that the gunite was too shallow and we had rust stains in our pool. When we questioned them we were told it was simply cosmetic and they placed tiles to cover this up. Then last year, when they ignored us for weeks, we found a different company to complete opening our pool. That is when we learned the truth. The pool had not been installed correctly. Asking them to correct the damage resulted in us needing to hire a lawyer to get them to resolve their mistake after getting yelled at and being hung up on. Now, we have spotty plaster (not of the same quality as we originally paid for). During our years after our installation we received service that was subpar. The closing resulted in untreated water (no winter chemicals added) and water lines that could have resulted in permanent damage with since they were not blown clear, and having to find outside contractors to complete my pool's needs. I'm sorry I ever hired them.

We had a previous pool company begin our pool and ended up terminating our contract after 11 months of waiting for our pool to be finished. We called Bluewater Pools to see if they could help us to get our pool done. They came immediately to take a look. After pointing out several mistakes made by the previous pool contractor they said they could have our pool finished within a week. They stood by their word and had our pool finished in 2 days. They were very efficient, knowledgeable, professional and their employees were very friendly and knew exactly what they were doing. One side is not square with other, so that built in pool covers will not work off the weird angle. Family-owned business – father was competent, son Adam is not. I nearly sued them to prevent them doing the same to another family.

rr hood rated it 5/5: AFTER having a pool built last year by ANOTHER COMPANY; the day-and-night difference of the customer service between Lee-sure Pools and the other pool company is amazing.
Lee-sure is helpful, kind, responsive, they do NOT have an attitude when they deal with you, they always return phone calls, and so far have done what they say they will do.
In the midst of a very busy schedule and probably some short staffing (as is iften the situation these days), Lee-sure hustled and helped me out with a trobling situation with my newly built pool (again, built by another company).
I left a message with the company who built my pool (still under warranty) and they still have not even returned that phone call.
But Lee-sure not only returned my call, they had people out and I've gotten resolution to the problem. Lee-sure is FABULOUS and after all these years in business they are still great! You don't find that often in a business now-a-days. Lee-sure is so impressive and I can't thank them enough!

Initially, they were scheduled to arrive on April 16th at 2pm to clean the debris from my pool then return the next day to open it (add the chemicals and get it up and running), I was told it would be $325 for both services. On April 16th around 2pm the worker arrived and informed me that his vacuum was broken so he had to return in a few hours with a functional one, which I agreed to. He returned at 5pm and I was told a second time that the vacuum didn’t work and that he had to leave. He asked if he could return the next day (Easter), which I agreed to. He returned and cleaned the debris, I asked when he’d return and to open the pool after it was filled and said the next day. I paid in full (which I shouldn’t have done) and waited for someone to arrive the following day to open the pool, which never happened. I waited several days before calling and asking when he’d be coming back to open the pool, the owner informed that he forgot and he’d come that same day because he lived on the same side of town that I did. He didn’t come, I texted on April 23rd and asked if he was coming to open the pool and my message didn’t go through, I then called and that also didn’t work, which led to me to assume I was blocked. I tried to dispute the charge, but Zelle informed me that they only give the money back if it was sent to the wrong person. So ultimately I paid in full for half of a job and that is absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I am not alone in this apparently. Look at the Yelp reviews!

Long story short, I purchased a property knowing full well that it was a fixer upper and it has been a nightmare… my disaster of a pool had a broken pool cover, dead mice, lizards, birds, some car seats and about half of a tree in it. Zach and his employee came out and assessed the situation and got started immediately, I left and came back a week later and was blown away by the results, it was like a brand new pool – sparkling blue water and the pool cover was repaired. EVERYTHING was either replaced or repaired. Completely and utterly STUNNED 😲!!!
I will be using these guys going forward and I highly recommend using this service for anyone who is in need of a good pool man. I don't do reviews, but I'm doing one now…5 stars + for you sir! 🌟

Connie Garcia rated it 1/5: Update 6/8/2022 I got a third party to intervene to help resolve this situation to get my pool heater that I paid Zack in full for. I asked Zack for a refund which he did not give. He said he had already bought the heater and would deliver it today. He did not deliver it or respond to the texts or answer his phone. His excuse for not installing a heater that I paid him in full for was that he did not have a plumber. I scheduled another pool service to install the heater tomorrow because he promised it would be delivered today and he failed to deliver it. Whatever you do do not pay this guy in advance he will take your money and not deliver what he promises. It has been 2 1/2 months of excuses. I will see you in court Zack. I will also be contacting the BB Bureau as well.
I paid Zack for a pool heater in March and 2 months later I still don't have it. Zack has given me all kinds of excuses. He assured me him and his plumber would be here today to do the job and complete it and did not show again. He ignores calls and when I do talk to him he has an excuse for everything. I have requested a refund because I don't see him getting the job done. I will probably have to take him to small claims court because he doesn't seem to care. Working with this business has been nothing but a nightmare and disaster. I would not recommend using this company. If you do I suggest you not pay any money up front based on my experience and other peoples reviews. Once he has your money you are not a valued customer. If by some miracle I get my heater or refund without having to take him to court I will update this review.

I proceeded to leave and go to Matt's pools and spas. I went into Matt's and was greeted by a friendly employee. He informed me that there is a shortage of supplies for the automatic water tester but he would test my water the old fashioned way using the test strips. He gathered information on my pool, tested the water and went over the results. I spent $340.00 on the chemicals needed to balance my pool water. Leslies' could have performed the same tests, but I guess my business wasn't worth their time. I'll never go back to Leslie's. Matt's Pool and Spas at 3511 Wyoming NE in Albuquerque is my new pool supply store.

The owner Bob was very rude and went as far as to insult us.
We maintained our pool properly, used the people he suggested for repairs/maintanence and paid for all services in a timely manner.
When we had questions or concerns, there was nothing but excuses and false claims of needing expensive equipment replacement that was not needed. We ended up having to find someone new to help with pool services.
When you make an investment like we did, you would hope that your questions would be answered and not be treated badly, quite the opposite with this builder.
I do not recommend Bob. Save yourself the headache and find another builder.

Buck Family rated it 5/5: Call Pelican Pools last! I got estimates from New Mexico Pools & Spa, Hermanson, Lee-Sure and called Bluewater. Bob, from Pelican built our pool and we couldn't be happier. He pleasantly surprised us (blew our minds!) every step of the way. One of the reasons I ended up choosing Pelican was because he uses all Hayward equipment. Hayward's reputation is the best and it also allows for a better warranty. Also, when comparing apples to apples….Pelican was the better deal. Pelican is not the cheapest but I am 100% confident we got the best "bang for our buck". Also, unlike some of the other builders…The Pelican team was able to do the complete backyard…the pool; the retaining walls; tons of earth work, moved plants and trees so I didn't have to lose anything; sunk our trampoline; took care of our irrigation; additional concrete work, etc. Bob makes sure you get all the little things you would tend to opt out of or not know how much you'll appreciate while steering you clear of the "waste of money"/unnecessary options. You're just in good hands without ever being "nickel and dimed".
The team was also friendly and we "caught" them having lots of fun on a few occasions which is always nice to see. Now that our heckuva project is done (took only 2 months) and a few minor glitches have come up, Bob has been very responsive and quick to fix or walk us through it. We got our first rain tonight which put a lot of water on our auto cover and HE called ME and told me what to do.
The pool is absolutely amazing and Bob…in all of his kindness and goodness…made sure of it! We made the right choice-hands down. You won't be disappointed.

He answered his phone, responded to all text messages and was AVAILABLE. Building a pool is not a fast process so you will have to be patient. Supply shortages, things on back order, and the demand for pools all play a part. But…..it is worth the wait! Our pool is beautiful and the family will enjoy it for years. This is an investment folks so get your money ready, be patient, and call Pelican Pool.

Scheduling,then not showing.He made excuses as to sitting for the newborn grandbaby and sent a picture still to never come through and this was a tell tale sign of how business was to be with this reputable company,so I opted to go elsewhere.No stars from me but I could not post without one,just not very professional in my interactions with owner.

I told him we had an appointment and they can take us off the books because we had another obligation and his response was " I would be glad to do that my day has been booked back to back with appointments". We only received NEGATIVE reviews about this company when shopping around and now I can see why.

After finding a new company we found out no filters were cleaned for a year- the pool wasn’t winterized properly leaving us with broken pipes, and they messed up our entire system. We were even going to use them to retile and plaster our pool- luckily we avoided that mistake. Please do your homework. These people are either not trained or simply don’t care. Extremely poor customer service as well.
