2. He has an arsenal of tools (unfortunately I have seen them all) plus a video camera to check everything at the end.

He made sure I understood everything every step of the way, and even took the time to help me figure out how to advocate for myself with Home Depot, who sold me a faulty dishwasher. Sound not only installed the piece I needed for the dishwasher, he also checked out a leaky faucet for me that wasn’t on his schedule for the day. It said to him, discovering that the whole building was having issues that, if he hadn’t found, I don’t wanna think about the disaster we would’ve had on our hands! I unfortunately, I found out that someone in my building was really rude and impatient, and difficult with him. He continued to treat that person the same way he treated me, and aside from what a great job he did on the building, just speaks to such integrity and professionalism. definitely the only plumber I’ll send my friends to.

The customer service representative was very respectful to and patient with me. He explained clearly how the process works. He told me the base cost and we proceeded from there to scheduling an appointment. After the phone call I received a test message reiterating our arrangement for the appointment. Later on there was also an email.
On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call reminding me that someone was coming in our previously agreed upon time frame. When the plumber/technician arrived he was courteous and professional. He checked out the issues that I had and suggested ways to fix them. He also discussed cost. Once we agreed on what is to be done, he went and bought the necessary supplies needed to fix the leak. After he finished, he tested his work while I observed to make sure the plumbing work was done properly.
He was very knowledgeable and he worked fast and efficiently. He did a great job!

I had 2 plumbers come in and said it was a bigger issue and a building issue, victor came in and was able to find the issue within 15 mins! He noticed it was a check valve issue and was able to remove it and now my hot water is running!

Prior to calling them – I had another plumber come in and charged me for his work without even fixing the problem. Please do yourself the favor and call these guys they’re knowledgeable and honest! Victor was awesome!

I called Balkan and schedule an appointment and was given quotes for the different type of blockages. I was given a 4 hour window and about an hour before that window expired I was called by the technician. The technician showed up and his name was George. He took about 20 mins diagnosing the problem before he told me what the problem seems to be and verify cost. He was very professional and detailed and ended up clearing up the drain in about 15 mins. I haven't had a problem since. I would for sure use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Michelle H rated it 5/5: Sewer backed up. I was skeptical about the Google reviews, but I felt comfortable with Balkan. I called Balkan and within 20 minutes, I received a call from George. When I heard “George” I remember the review from Diane Inez. For that moment, I was so convinced to use Balkan. He came in a timely manner. I showed to him the backed up area. He was not only thorough, but also knowledgeable. He started explaining the cause and effect of how pipes run in the house. Wow! Very professional and experience person. Excellent work and highly recommended to ask for George. GEORGE IS THE BEST

Looked up reviews before calling the next company and stumbled on this company. I was blessed to get George, a true gentleman that clearly cares about his work, ethics and the people he serves. Very hard these days to get people that keep their word and give you the honest truth. I highly recommend George and Balkan if they have more Georges. The guy is golden, a rare breed. John Casella rated it 5/5: I called Balkan Sewer & Drain Cleaning because I had a clogged sewer line in a 6 Family building in Long Island City. They sent Chris the next day and although it was an extremely stubborn grease clog- the grease had hardened into a brick! -, he was persistent and kept at it until he cleared the entire line – which was about 50 feet inside the house and another 20 feet from the main trap inside the house to the main sewer line in the street. Chris was extremely pleasant and professional throughout his visit. . . . due to this very positive 'first' experience with Balkan, I contacted them again when I had a clogged sewer line in a single family rental property. This time they sent George, who brought a lot of experience to the job. He was able to unclog the interior sewer line relatively quickly – which was clogged due to the tenant's throwing baby wipes and paper towels down the toilet, but then the tenant pointed out that the exterior drain located immediately behind the house was also clogged. It took George an extra hour to clear that drain of the mud and gravel that had collected there. George is always prepared for any kind of situation. He will not leave the job-site until the sewer line is cleared and functional. He comes with all of the equipment needed to do the job on the first visit – he even had back-up equipment on his truck just in case something unexpected occurs – that is Experience at Work. You can be assured when George answers the call, the job will always get done! Do not hesitate to call Balkan when you need a credible, qualified, honest company to take care of your sewer and drain issues. I would not call anyone else!
Chidi Ozieh rated it 5/5: This review is written for Balkan the company but it is really about the amazing technician GEORGE who came to the rescue when we had trouble identifying where the trap was in our basement when it had been tiled over by the previous contractors. Without George’s expert analysis and professionalism I don’t know what we would have done. His passion and willingness to troubleshoot with us made the entire experience an actual joy (and I can’t believe I am writing that considering the sewage that was coming into our basement!)
I felt like we got the problem but more importantly George gave me an education about the plumbing in my property and I have always said that a day without learning something new is a wasted day. Hats off to you George and I will be recommending you to other landlords in my network and if I have a sewer problem in any other property Balkan is on Speed dial and I will be requesting George. I saw the $49 ads but also saw the overwhelming negative reviews for almost all of them so I looked past those companies. But after seeing the reviews for Balkan Sewer I decided to give them a call even though there wear not the cheapest.
I called Balkan and schedule an appointment and was given quotes for the different type of blockages. I was given a 4 hour window and about an hour before that window expired I was called by the technician. The technician showed up and his name was George. He took about 20 mins diagnosing the problem before he told me what the problem seems to be and verify cost. He was very professional and detailed and ended up clearing up the drain in about 15 mins. I haven't had a problem since. I would for sure use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I called the pump guys and they were able to fix my shower within 40 mins with no problem. Only have 3 words efficient, professional, responsive. Highly recommended.
Lakshan rated it 5/5: The pump guy was a lifesaver today the standard Hotel located at 848 Washington St. lost water supply at 7:45 am from the booster pump to the entire building. 338 rooms did not receive no hot water no cold water at all.
the booster pumps fail. Eric showed up within 15 minutes of phone call because he was in the area.
He did his magic he got water service to the entire building by 1130 am He came back 6hours later just to make sure that we were up and running. He will be back on Monday with the proper parts to repair the entire booster pump system awesome service awesome company reliable this guy knows what he’s doing I will highly recommend the Pump guy for any type of plumbing needs when emergency comes up call Eric .

They run a great operation – They had everything in stock and had the skilled manpower to carry out the work same day. Electrical, plumbing and pump controls all performed by the same team.

I gave a phone call to him last week as one of my business has a flood in the basement due to some corrosion. I was quoted an hour arrival time and Eric showed up 30 mins later with a smile on his face ready to solve my problem. Not only did he fix it thoroughly and quickly, but he talked me through what he was doing and how to prevent this from happening again in the future and things to look out for to stay ahead of the game. Big shout out to Eric and his team. They’ll always be my first option in the future.
