We had the unfortunate experience of using this franchisee of roto in the Sacramento.

They just want to put bandaids on the issue until you have to get opinions from someone else.

$13000 in services to install a cleanout and put a bandaid on my pipes by irrigating and rehabbing the corrosion.

1200 to snake and camera
4800 to install a cleanout
8800 to pressure wash the pipes

Granted our pipes are old and gross. But never once did we get a quote to replace them when asked. And never once did they address the standing water and seeping water under the flooring after demanding we have someone out in 48 hours to inspect it. 5 days they left it untreated and just kept pushing financing and never tending to the issues.

If you can wait for a second option do it. Never rely on roto. Getting to the job quicker doesn't always mean better. Many red flags here and as a new homeowner I learned my lesson. I hope you can learn from mine.

They were very prompt/on time. I thought the price they quoted me was high for my budget, but when they explained and showed the extent of the damage and what they needed to do, I said okay. I am very satisfied with their job. It was very fast and they made sure that they clean after they finished the job. Their warranty is also good. The tech Adam let us know the piece we needed was covered under our warranty (2 year old water tank, he said it’s covered for 6 years). He called the manufacturer and ordered us a new piece. The day it was going to arrive, we gave 5 star a call and they were able to schedule us in for the day. It was Adam again and a trainee. They did a great job, water heater works good and order is restored in our home. We’d 100% recommend 5 star!

The serviceman showed up half an hour early, and start the work right away! He opened up the drain of our kitchen by using a spring snake very quickly in less than an hour. He was very confident about his work and was very smart and observant technically. He was very clean and made sure to leave no extra work for me to clean. He also gave me good advises when I asked him my questions!! My drain has been working for more than two weeks now, and I am extremely happy!!! The name of the company 5 Star indeed represents their quality of work !!!

One the phone, said it was $180 just to come out, and it would go towards the repair. Then got here and it went to 267.00. Then the plumber said to call the office to ask for a discount. Went down to $220.00. The picture is the new valve, the old one needed a tool I didn’t have, to remove it, but come to find out from the plumber, it’s a very inexpensive tool. I should have YouTubed it, but instead I got took. The plumber was great, but I would never use them again because I know they did me wrong. And their website says free estimates, that’s not true. When I called and questioned them about that they said the free estimate is over the phone. Not telling me that’s not a joke.
And if you’re asking, why I still did the job? Well, I was going to be charged $180 no matter what, so I had to do it.

He was also very thorough in letting us know what he found while diagnosing our sewer line clog. He was able to locate the location of the clog and clear it, which required removal of a toilet. After clearing the issue, the guys cleaned up the area and tested things thoroughly to make sure we were good. They also used their camera to verify the other parts of the sewer lines were ok. He did find an unrelated potential issue that we will discuss with the County. If we are in fact responsible for addressing, we will definitely consider having Armstrong do the work.
Their work was a marked difference from another company that we called initially. That company used a camera too but didn’t even view the section where the clog was! Instead they pointed out another section of pipe that they claimed needed serious repair. They then proceeded to provide a quote for a $36K repair job, which did NOT include fixing the clog! No thanks guys. So glad we then went with Armstrong.

Naib rated it 1/5: Our apartment complex is using this company and they are awful. Twice now they have interrupted the utilities to several buildings. They broke a water line today, and almost half the complex has been without water for almost six hours. Thats twice as long as they quoted it would take to fix the issue that they caused. The time before that they cut a power cable and several buildings were without power. In the middle of the day during the heatwave. Totally unacceptable.

After a comment from the business owner I would also like to point out several other issues. Just so their PR talking points dont confuse the issue. I can understand certain set-backs. But overall the presence of their crews here has been negative. Their crews have completeley crowded and blocked the parking lot. Parking was already a huge issue, now they use our spots to store their equiptment. They've blocked off a row of parking for construction purposes, but then left and didnt do any work on that area for a week. So why are those spots being taken up? You would think by the ways their crews behave here that the tenants are nothing but an annoyance. This is our home, you are in our way. Not the other way around. And to add to the frustration the water is off again today. I have no clue if this was scheduled or when it will be back on. This is NOT OK. I've been at work since 4am and I cant even wash up. Again whatever this company is doing is totally unacceptable. If I could give less of a star I would.

After doing the work the technician John Z. recommended we schedule a hydro Jet clean which would give our pipes a lot better flow and a longer life. My wife and I hired these people to do a simple sewer inspection on the home that we just bought and were in the process of moving into. They told us the sewer was ok to use. Exactly two weeks after we moved in the sewer backed up on us. We had to call another plumbing company to fix the issue. Cost us thousands. We would have never bought the house if they did the job we paid them to do. Once confronted and notified of their incompetence, they got defensive and basically told us to F-off. Currently in process of suing them.

He cleaned up when finished and left the area as he found it. He did not try to sell anything. The company supplies the technicians with everything they need. I will definitely call Zoom Drain again as well as refer them to my friends and neighbors.

Preferred Plumbing sent out Tony #74 to help and he found it to be a simple back up in my ptrap. He was able to fix my issue very quickly and cleaned up more than I could've imagined. Colleen (#9) was our service tech showed up in 20 minutes and she was very courteous, professional and through. She cleaned the line first – then still saw an issue with disposal and cleaned the peatrap and plumbing – got everything clean and running again. Mom was given the senior discount. Great Experience and would call again and probably ask for Colleen specifically.

He finished all repair and replacement work within a few hours, and we were not without the use of our bathrooms but for a few hours. Travis explained the details of the work they were going to do, and told me the initial estimate. After the work was done, he explained what they did.

I had problems, though, with getting someone to our place. The request I placed before 8 am was never put into queue on Saturday; therefore, my appointment was moved to Monday. Otherwise, everything was very good.
