  • Stacie Rembert rated it 5/5: I called at 10am with three clogged drains and by 2pm a technician was at my door ready to give a quote. Albert was courteous, knowledgeable, quoted a very fair price, and was able to start working immediately after my approval of the estimate. He worked quickly and cleanly and left no mess behind. By 4pm he was packing up and I had three perfectly working drains! We will definitely be calling Roto-Rooter for any future plumbing needs thanks to Albert’s great service. Thanks!
  • Wanda Smith rated it 5/5: Jeff the Technician was most excellent. He had been sent to our home several weeks ago to unstop a toilet. He was great then and he was great on this service visit as well. He called to let us know he was here as we live in a locked and secure condo unit. He identified himself and worked extremely hard from the minute he arrived. He was extremely professional knowledgeable and kind. He cleaned up everything before he left our condo and gave us tips to keep this from happening again. Jeff is an excellent service person and represents Roto Rooter in the best possible way. We highly recommend Jeff and Roto Rooter.
  • Marc Cox rated it 5/5: These guys are tops! They were doing work in the business next door, and I asked if they had time to fix a clogged toilette in our business. They fixed the issue quickly for a fair price. I would definitely recommend Albert and his crew, and will use them again!

  • volunteer construction services rated it 1/5: The plumber showed up at a retail store and gave me a price of $530.00 to unclog the toilet. As I was waiting for approval for the Corporate office. It was taking corporate extra long to get approval and he left and said he could come back tomorrow, which was fine, I don't blame him. I finally got approval for the amount he quoted me.
He arrive the next morning and informed me that he needed to pull the toilet and clear the line which is additional $290.00: the total price being $820. and some change. This was extremely frustrating because he quoted me $530, but the bill ended up being $820.00.
I had to pay for the additional money. I feel frustrated.
The tech was nice, but I felt like he should have know that there was not a clean out and he would have to pull the toilet.
It was not a pleasant experience for me.

  • Chelsea Gambill rated it 1/5: DO NOT HIRE FOR ELECTRICAL WORK. We had IRV come out to install a brand new panel. They were not permitted or inspected. We have a second option and all work would not pass inspection. Nothing we updated to code. Wires were double tapped. Our 2nd option stated some fuses put in were no longer even in circulation and had no clue where IRV even got them from. This is a safety risk for me, my family, and my property.

Scott Cline rated it 1/5: On the day of my assigned 8-11am time, no one showed up. I called the company and they stated that they tried to call earlier to say their truck broke down and couldn’t come out for another week. I had previously asked them to send me texts not calls which they agreed and had been texting me info that I had an upcoming appointment. Yet, no text that they weren’t coming out. So a new appointment was made for following week, 8-11am. No one showed all morning. No texts or calls. When I called in, I was told that the guy was running late on previous job but would be out. In the afternoon, I called again to find out that the truck had equipment failure and they couldn’t come out. So if I hadn’t called in a second time, I wouldn’t have known. Then they tried to tell me that they listen to my original phone recording & didn’t understand that I had a backup & didn’t realize it was an emergency which one would have to be totally clueless to believe that. I called Greenway & got scheduled for the next day. If you call in, the recording says to hit #1 for great service. I kept hitting 1 over the course of 2 weeks and got NO service. Will never use again.

  • Minerva Ramirez rated it 5/5: New to septic tank life but Brett made us feel at ease and secure with our new adventures. So glad we called Septic Blue when we did because we would’ve had a bigger problem on our hands….Brett thoroughly and patiently explained what he was doing and answered our questions. He dug carefully instead of using machinery thus preventing damages to my pool pipes that were right next to tank unbeknownst to us, installed needed risers, provided enzymes and pumped tank. He went above and beyond and we appreciate his level of service you rarely get these days. Definitely repeat customers in the future. Thank you.
  • Traci Crumbley rated it 5/5: Bret Brooks was the technician that was sent to us. He was polite, professional and got the job done. Fantastic service. Definitely recommend using this company. Thank you so much Bret!
  • Buck Ramsey rated it 1/5: Awful! I don't understand all the 5 star reviews, but maybe I was just very unlucky. 🙁

I scheduled a 11 – 2 PM appointment to have my tank pumped. Septic Blue called and left message that they could come early, but by the time I received message it was too late. However Septic Blue stated they'd arrive at the 11 AM scheduled time. At 1:50 PM they called to confirm, but said equipment needed was not available on the truck and if that was okay, also they wouldn't be on-site until after my appointment time. I had another appointment in the later afternoon so I had to cancel.

    UPDATE:

Septic Blue finally arrived to pump my tank. They quoted $225 to pump a 1,000 gallon tank. When the truck arrived the driver drove the truck over the grass of the adjacent property causing extensive damage and then tracked mud onto my driveway.

After opening the septic tank lids, I was told the tanks needed to be stirred or mixed for an EXTRA $275. I've been on a septic systems for 30 plus years and have had my septic tank pumped multiple times – this is the FIRST time I was asked to pay a "mixing" fee. Stirring and mixing was always included as part of the pump fee and all my previous tank pumps.

The Septic Blue mixing-stirring "add-on" fee, which certainly applies to most septic systems is unethical IMHO, especially given I was not provided notice about the fee when I scheduled the service.

I refused to pay the mixing fee and asked the driver to leave my property after he demanded I pay him a $50 visit fee, which in hindsight I shouldn't have done given the property damage and the 1.5 hours it took me to clean the mud off my driveway.

In my opinion, I strongly do not recommend this unethical company! Terrible service from start to finish.

Now I have to waste more of my time trying to find a reputable and honest septic tank service company in the Charlotte area.

  • Yolanda Robinson rated it 1/5: When I tell you that I am livid! That is an understatement! Like the many reviews that I should have read before scheduling them to pump my septic tank; have said; one price is quoted to you over the phone and when the tech comes out you suddenly have to pay more. Now, the guy that came out was nice enough and informative; it appeared that the septic tank had never been pumped; it was definitely full to it's capacity. My problem is being charged over $200 for him to use a piece of equipment to churn through the solid waste that probably took him 30 minutes to do if that ;bringing the bill from $274 to over $500! The first thing they hollered when I called to let them know I wasn't satisfied with this price jump was "Oh we let people know when they call that the price we quote is for a basic pump and tank inspection we don't know what the tech may find when they come out"….well I certainly wasn't told this and as a company you need to make it your business to know what the tech finds when they come out to avoid excessive charging like this. We signed off on the paperwork presented for the tech to perform the job; he was already here. I could have gotten another company to do this for cheaper than what I ended up paying; I chose them because of the low price for the pump if I was going to pay over $500 I definitely would have gone elsewhere. Won't be using them again.

joseph sherbino rated it 1/5: The specialist refused to acknowledge the issues we were having prior to Roto-Rooter being called. He claimed that the water heater was overheating and tripping the safety switch. I have done manual resets a couple of times and knew what he was referring to. However, he turned the thermostat down (which is also something I, as the homeowner, am capable of doing) and reset the power and charged us $312. When we addressed the concern of the water heater still not able to maintain hot water for more than 10 minutes, he continued to repeat that the water heater was overheating. Again, the specialist didn’t acknowledge the concerns we gave him, and then charged us $312 to do something he could have just mentioned to me. Oh, and our water heater is still not maintaining heat. This was indeed a waste of money and I regret paying.

  • Mimi Hsu rated it 5/5: Had a challenge with my toilet and I called because of the amount of great google reviews. It was also closest to my house. They picked up right away and was able to schedule a technician to come to my house in the next two hours.
The tech came 1 hour later and I was highly appreciative. The solution was easy and they had the part (it was just a broken handle). It cost me less than $200 and I appreciated that they did exactly what I needed they did make future recommendations about what could need to be fixed in the future.

I will definitely keep them in mind when I need another plumber.

  • Ken Hazen rated it 5/5: Trying to find a plumber on a Sunday became a big challenge. When I finally called Roto-Rooter they offered me an appointment within a couple hours of my call. The plumber was on time and took care of my problem in a timely manner. He was very polite and professional.
  • Brian Coyne rated it 3/5: I called this business to repair a plugged main drain that I had already diagnosed for them. The first technician arrived around 5:15 pm which was great as I had called within the hour. he had some issue with the toilet and his equipment broke at 50 ft., attempted to repair but left (he was very nice/polite). He offered to clean the excrement from our bathroom using our own towels and mop (is this industry standard?) but left partial remains that I am still cleaning. The second tech arrived around 7:15, said he went to 60 ft, and left around 8:45. He offered me an upgrade to the seal of my toilet for $375. Does not seam right after breaking the seal? While timely, the services were very overpriced at $675 (with a $75 off coupon!) despite the proposed upgrade charges. I would not suggest this company unless you are in a hurry which I was. Too much corporate overhead to compensate for fair service.
  • Kelly Pace rated it 1/5: Charges over $700 for a dishwasher install??? Also, did not mount the dishwasher and it's slides out when using. Do not advertise that you know how to install a dishwasher and overcharge. I went with you bc I didn't want to keep sending techs out to my tenants house. I wish your company would explain price up front for this prior to entering the premises especially since this is your base cost. I have you coming back out today to have another installer to mount the dishwasher correctly. Please get it right.

  • Rachel rated it 5/5: This is my second time using Charlotte Plumbing Masters, and John was the plumber both times. On a previous occasion he installed tank parts for two toilets. He was very fast and did the job right. This time he fixed a leaky faucet. John gave some advice about taking care of our other plumbing fixtures and was very friendly. He arrived early and did a fantastic job. I will call back for any repairs or renovations we need in the future.
  • Billy M rated it 5/5: Diyan did exceptional work! Came out initially to do backflow testing. As we talked I brought up other issues I was having. He found the problem for one and was able to do a fix for the other. Very satisfied!
  • mercy hugo rated it 5/5: DiJan Mitev and trainee looked at my shower drain issue and cleaned the pipe underneath. Water flowing easily now. The other sink drain issue was just the sink drain cover . He recommended faucet flow to be
adjusted by replacing faucet if warranty covers replacement. Otherwise, it’s working for now. Thank you

  • DANA MONTEIRO rated it 2/5: My review is based on initial inspection and estimate. The gentleman that came was very polite and professional. Maybe I'm out of touch with pricing these days but I had laminate flooring put in and needed my pedestal sink raised ½inch to fit the pedestal or a vanity at that same sink also I had problem with a bad cartridge in a shower preventing me from getting hot water after years of use. I was quoted $1300 to raise sink to fit pedestal or $1500 to install vanity and almost $500 to fix bad cartridge in shower… well it pays to get 2nd opinion or estimate because I found another company to do for lil over $800.. it took 6 hours total for one worker which included a ½ lunch that I gratefully paid for and a 40 minute store run by this same worker to Lowes to buy the right cartrige for shower…so 5- 5½ hours worth of work for $800+ instead of $2000.

Gary Wolfe rated it 1/5: Writing this for my neighbor that got totally ripped off by this company. Jeff charged $639 to replace a $25 hot water tank supply line. That is over $600 labor for a 30 minute job. Then quoted $3000 to replace it because it was 12 years old. That equals $2500 labor to install a $500 electric hot water heater. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

  • Samantha Rickman rated it 5/5: INCREDIBLE SERVICE! Jason came to our home today and a plumbing problem that we've been struggling with for MONTHS was fixed! He even let me record him fixing it so that we could adjust some things ourselves in the future. HIGHLY recommend. They were kind, patient, knowledgeable, and completely laid back.

You know those contractors that come to your home, and make you feel uncomfortable? Like they know everything? Are better than you? Are probably bamboozling you? And making you pay too much?

These guys felt like family. He could've been my brother or cousin with how he spoke so kindly. I felt like I could TRUST him. He even gave me some specific plumbing advice regarding our family status! The fact that we had children created its own slew of concerns another contractor wouldn't have considered telling us about! But this guy CARED enough to tell me everything!

  • John rated it 5/5: Very good service. Jason was very professional and did his best to solve problem. He is skilled and friendly. I contacted the company Oct 25,2022. And on same day in one hour, He is already showed to the house. Quick response!
  • Sharon Woodcock rated it 5/5: Couldn't recommend Julian's more if I tried. Discovered a leaking pipe in my utility closet, called and Jason was here the next day and got me all patched up ahead of this crazy polar vortex 2 days before Christmas. He answered all 900 of my questions and offered advice for the best way to keep my pipes as warm as possible. He had knowledge of my building and offered advice on what to communicate with the HOA that has already helped! Really appreciate his professionalism and kindness in helping me get, and keep, the water where it belongs. Definitely keeping their number handy.
  • Sofia Chabolla rated it 5/5: Julian's Plumbing is the BEST. A good friend recommended Julian's when we discovered our front yard was a swamp as there was a water main leak leading to our house. They were so prompt and professional when helping us! They went above and beyond in walking us through potential fixes, and then on the repair work itself. The team immediately located the leak location and were able to repair the whole pipe in under two hours. We couldn't recommend Julian's Plumbing enough!!
  • Gary Wolfe rated it 1/5: Writing this for my neighbor that got totally ripped off by this company.

Dave Harlequin rated it 5/5: Hired this company to pump and inspect my septic tank. I have a very old house that I inherited from my father, and wasn't entirely sure where the tank was, or what the condition of it would be once it was found. The two gentlemen who came out arrived exactly when they said they would and were exceptionally polite, friendly, and professional. They located the tank, dug it up, pumped it, and checked it out for me, all for the exact price I was quoted on the phone when I booked the appointment. I had heard horror stories of other companies that quote you one price and then keep tossing in additional fees and upsells along the way. I was so happy to see that this was not the case with Greenway Waste Solutions. I couldn't be happier and will most definitely be sticking with them for any and all septic needs in the future!

Finding a good, dependable, honest company can be so hard these days, but these folks are exactly that! If you're reading this and are looking for a good septic company, this is the best one in the Charlotte area!

  • Pam Harding rated it 5/5: The company I work for purchased a Historic Building in Concord NC, it was previously a restaurant and had closed in 2019. The grease trap in is the basement, I called Greenway Waste and spoke to the nicest person "Brook" she handled the entire appointment set up, we had to cancel and reschedule and once again Brook was so very efficient & took great care of us. The driver Wich was so professional as he had to do more than a normal empty the trap since it had been so long between jobs. we will now be using their service at our other 8 locations as I can get them switched over. Good Customer Service and professional drivers will make your business shine above the rest. Thanks, Pam Harding
  • Aquansa White rated it 5/5: I was referred to Greenway by another company and im so glad I was. I spoke with the lady on Monday and they came out on Thursday fast response time for me. JE was the gentleman who came out this morning to clean our grease traps. He was early and professional, not to mention very knowledgeable of what he was doing. We have had this service done before by another company and the grease traps never looked like they did today after he was finished. Thank you Greenway for your professionalism and kindness. Will definitely be using your services from here on out and telling some of our recommending you to others.
  • Jon Skroder rated it 5/5: Adam and his team were amazing! They did a very quick and efficient job replacing our entire septic system. Highly recommend!!!
  • Buck Ramsey rated it 4/5: Great service!

The service folks arrived on time, were courteous and professional. I had my septic tank pumped out and new heavy duty risers with PolyLok lids installed because the original inferior 5 year old EzSet lids were damaged from age and wear. I had very specific requests and Greenway Waste Solutions met my service and installation expectations.

Working with Greenway was easy with exceptional communications from the front office to the field folks.

The reason for the 4 star review is the price – value. IMHO the price I was charged was too high for the scope of work completed by Greenway Waste Solutions – even in these times of record high inflation.

Greenway Waste Solutions doesn't play the bait and switch game as other "highly rated" septic companies do in the Charlotte area. There are no surprise or hidden fees and charges with Greenway Waste Solutions.

Heather Hiner rated it 3/5: Technician, Willie, was very nice and helpful. He inspected the pump and tightened some pipe. The trouble is that Septic Blue does not provide techs with a truck large enough and enough pipe to pump a septic that isn’t very close to the driveway or street. Ours is in the backyard and they could not reach it. So I paid for a dispatch fee for them and will still have to get another company out here to do the main part of the work.

  • Adam Johnson rated it 5/5: Great team, very responsive. Have interfaced with two different techs (Willie and Bret) and found them extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I found the same to be true for the team in the office who I communicated with via phone, text and email. Our work was done with care and quality. Good communication throughout. Pricing was fair and felt like a good value for the effort they put in. Highly reccomend.
  • Ethan Blankenship rated it 5/5: Final service cost was not disclosed until the hole was already dug in my back yard. Septic blue has great customer service and very responsive. Willie the technician was the main reason for the 5 star review. He was Knowledgeable and quick. They came to inspect and pump my septic tank and found an issue that wasn’t found during the home inspection.
  • Erin Rice rated it 5/5: This is our second time working with Septic Blue, and it’s because our first experience was so great! The second time was just as good, and we always enjoy working with Brett! He is amazing. We appreciate the customer service we always get from Septic Blue! May there be many years ahead for you all!
  • Kat Leo rated it 5/5: Willie was awesome! Great guy and hard worker, and very honest. The 1st Septic Blue worker I had come to the house 5 years ago had me thinking and trying to tell me I needed a whole new system. My tank was in great condition, so I appreciate Willie's honesty! He is a great asset to your company!

  • Bruno Diaz rated it 5/5: Tuesday the 13th of March, 2018 I discovered my septic system was backing up into the basement bathroom. Figuring it was the pump I arranged to have it repaired in the afternoon and then set about looking for a pump out that morning. Whoa! Nobody but nobody could make it for days until I found Autry. Called and talked to Jessica (very nice) and by noon Jason and George were there to pump it out.
My holding tank was 2.5 feet below grade (no riser) so off came the small Kubota front loader and they dug it out and popped the lid. Jason and George were very helpful in describing the system and tested the pump/float in the other, pumping tank(no need for a new pump). Yes, I needed a pump out (it had been way too long, I'm embarrassed to say how long) and that was it. Polite phone call, quick arrival and professional, friendly guys on the truck. We were pumped out, dirt replaced and everything put away within 2 hours of arrival. A life-saver.
Don't know about you, but before I call a firm I see online I ALWAYS check the reviews. Didn't find any on Autry's, so because of my excellent experience I wanted to rectify that. So this is one of those gen-u-wine reviews written by a really satisfied customer (I'm 64) and not some "paid to review" thing which happens to much these days. They're good folks.
  • Brendan Shea rated it 5/5: Autry was recommended to me by my groundskeeper and their service was top notch. The technician, Jason, was knowledgeable and professional, explained everything in detail and gave me pointers for maintaining the septic system. Easy to book, quick response, and very reasonable prices for pumping services. Highly recommend!
  • Kevin Gibson rated it 5/5: I have been using Autry's septic service for my houses and business and they are always prompt and knowledgeable.
  • Ginny Pankus rated it 5/5: We are so happy with Autry's service and Josh's work. We learned so much from him. I questioned their fee and why they were more expensive than some other companies. As he started describing the work they do, their licensing and how other companies don't do a complete job, we realized why they are one of the best. We found out that the last time we had our septic tank pumped, the company (now out of business) only pumped out the pump tank, not the septic tank!!! If a company only places their hose into your pump tank, they are only getting about 1/4 of what needs to be pumped. Josh needed to dig down to the septic tank, and then suck everything out, and then pressure washed the inside of the tank. He told us that they offer to install a stand pipe or riser so that the next time they would not have to dig down with a backhoe and the pro's and con's of each type. He also said that if we ever need to replace the pump, make sure that whoever installs it does not use an inferior pump. You definitely need to watch out for those who are looking to do things on the cheap. We had no idea what all went into pumping out a septic tank, but now we know!!!
  • Jenifer Roser rated it 5/5: Highly recommended. Reasonable pricing given upfront and not changed. Clogged pipe and full septic – fixed both and did all very quickly. Pleasant crew as well. Will definitely use again.
