Benjamin called 15 minutes before he was supposed to get here. He arrived on time. He was very personable and very knowledgeable. He was clean. He wore booties whenever he was in the house and made sure that my laminate flooring would not get damaged. He unclogged my drain and ran water through it for a long time to make sure that it was clear. Cleaned up all of his mess which was very minimal. All in all this was literally the best plumbing type problem I've ever had. I will definitely be using Mr rooter in the future.

He explained everything to us and even sent us a video of the line after it was cleaned out. I truly trust this company. Emma Lysek rated it 1/5: If you need to do excavation DO NOT USE THEM. Leo's services was a nightmare. A job that should have taken 1 day spanned over a week. The lead for excavation projects Brian is never in the office and never picks up his phone. He take a week to get back to you via email. They broke our water intake pipe while they were replacing your sewer line. We had to pay over 10k to have the whole job completed. The workers left trash everywhere, broke the stone walkway in our backyard, parked the heavy machinery on our lawn rounding the ground, and didn't compact the ground properly when they were done, leaving a sink-hole looking thing very close to our house. I had to demand they come back and fix my backyard and re-assembly our fence (which they took apart). The whole thing was a nightmare. The only redeeming trait was getting a boss involved, Johnnie, who was more responsive and helped got the men to come back and fix my yard.

They came out 13 August, had to pull the toilet and 500 dollars later the plumber ran water through it and told us it was clear. Fast forward to 17 August when I contacted B and L plumbing to inform them that the toilet was clogged and still emptying into the bath tub and talked to a Chelsea who said she would call me back after talking to the plumber. Two hours later she got back to me and told me they would not warranty the repair since there is no way to know what was flushed down the toilet between now and then. I told her the toilet had not been in use as none of us had used it or were home that week due to a family outing and my birthday. She told me that she could only do something with the information provided and that it would be another 300 to 500 dollars. I am a disabled veteran going to college and am on a massively fixed income and can not afford another 500 dollar bill from a predatory company like B and L Plumbing.

After calling a different plumbing company out first we quickly sent them away due to their poor service and outrageous prices. B&L was very responsive and sent someone the next day. Stuart helped us out and had to come and go a few times over a weeks time to get the repair done. He was very knowledgeable and sympathetic with our "bad news" on the repair. Even the ladies in the office were super kind each time I called and moved appts around. Kudos to this company for hiring such amazing people. Thank you Stuart and B&L for all the help and repairs you did. We can sleep better at night now!
Troy Goeckerman rated it 4/5: Called B&L Monday morning for an electric water heater replacement. They were able to schedule me in the next day between 8am – 10am. They arrived first thing at 8am, assessed the situation then ran to their warehouse to pick up the proper water heater for replacement. They got right to work when they returned. They were professional and did a great job and finished up around 12pm.
My only surprise was the sticker shock of $2,650 they billed me for the service. There was no itemized receipt for any of the charges. I can only guess around $1,400 for labor and $1,000 for the water heater. I don't know. B&L won't disclose that information to customers.

If you're on a tight budget, shopping for a lower price might save you $700 or $800 dollars or more,

Hopefully this new water heater will last 18 years like the old one they replaced.

To attempt to charge someone $1,000+ to disconnect and later reconnect a water supply valve and cap the water supply line is simply unconscionable. I had B&L Plumbing come out this morning to shut off a water valve/supply line in advance of a new kitchen counter and sink removal. I also previously scheduled their return visit in two days to reconnect after the new counter, sink, & faucet are installed. I was quoted $1000+ ($364 for today’s visit to shut off the water supply valve and cap the water supply, and $300 to reconnect water supply line to homeowner-provided faucet, and $350 to reconnect water supply line to owner-provided sink & basket in two days). Upon hearing these charges, I canceled the appointment for Thursday informing him that the $1,000 total price and even the $364 for the 3 minutes it took him to shut off the water supply line and cap it today was excessively high. I informed him that the price he is quoting me is over $700 higher than the national average, Home Depot’s estimated pricing available online, and what had been told to me by the granite counter companies who work with licensed plumbers daily, as well as many home flippers who likewise do the same. Upon calling a family member who has flipped homes for over 40years and having a conversation about being ripped off in his presence, B&L’s plumber then agreed to lower the price for the 3 minute water shut up (10minutes total home visit) appointment to $264. Again, to attempt to charge someone over $1,000 to disconnect and later reconnect a water supply valve and cap water supply line is unconscionable. As such, I would not recommend B&L Plumbing at all! I shared my above concerns with Chelsea, who, in my two interactions with her was very professional. She simply asked that I include in my review that her plumber eventually lowered the price AFTER I told him it was excessive.

David Magar rated it 5/5: Mark was great to work with! I had a very clogged up main sewer line and Mark was able to make an after hours visit to help me out the very evening I had my issue. Everyone else I called wanted another day or two before they could make it out.

Mark worked with me that night to get the line unclogged and was very thorough in showing me in my pipe where the clogs were, and how bad the root growth was. The further along he got, the more worried he got about how badly clogged the pipe was. He didn't have the industrial sized drain auger head he ended up needing with him that night, so he got the line clear enough to work, and then came back the next day to finish cleaning out the pipe.

All along the way he showed me on the drain snake cam all the issues, and any time he found anything new he was sue to make sure it was all cleared out. Once the pipe was clean he did another quick run through of the length of the line to the street to make sure I could see that he had thoroughly cleared it out.

The previous owner had covered the outside cleanout valve so he also used the sonar on his snake to help me find where the outside clean out was so that I could dig it up if any future issues arose.

He worked with me on pricing and I felt he was fair for the amount of work he ended up having to do. I highly recommend him and will be using him again in the future.

Before I could hangup, Jason was returning my call. I explained the leaking pipe connection problem and got a long pause to the point I thought we lost the phone connection. What a surprise to hear him say, "I can be there in about 30 minutes". And he kept his word. Very pleasant and business like……didn't try to up sell or "blow smoke". Diagnosed the problem and had the part on his truck. 15 minutes later no more water leaking. I understand not every situation is going to be a fortunate as mine. This is now my "go-to-guy" when I need help with plumbing.

I had a plumbing issue and received a pricey quote from one of the chain rooter companies, who I didn't trust from the start due to their sales tactics. I called Advantage, where the owner answered the phone and was generous with his time talking through my potential issues. Josh came out and confirmed that I needed the work, but quoted and completed the job for 40% less than the other quote. These guys were nothing but straight shooters throughout the process. The professionalism, good communication, and cleanup of the work site was beyond my expectations. I've not not been lucky enough to receive such good service in any other type of home maintenance, so I had to get on here and say so.

I called advantage sewer and drain and got an appointment for the very next day! Josh arrived on time and was amazing! He was very friendly and professional and was able to find the cause of the clog. Roots… he had all the equipment there and just took care of it right then! It’s hard to know who to trust when looking for professional help and I feel lucky to have found them! They will definitely be my go to if ever needed again!

Dachai Chantanasombut rated it 5/5: Several services going into Woodland Park were no longer available, so I did some research and called Advantage Sewer and Drain for a quote. The process was done professionally and quickly. (Even after some follow up questions.) So we scheduled a mainline clearance.
Eduardo went out to the house and spent a good amount of time ensuring our lines were cleared out to the main service connection. He was communicative, professional and informative. Eduardo also ensured he left the site clean and back to normal. He's a pro!
After the invoice came out, I had further clarification needs and they were met. Payment of the invoice went well. I would recommend Eduardo and Advantage to my family, friends and neighbors. Great job guys!
Sarah Hunke rated it 1/5: We called Advantage out for an estimate on a new sewer line on Feb. 21st. The gentlemen that arrived did a thorough review of our system and we agreed with what they were telling us.
When scheduling the estimate, we were not told that we were going to be charged $150. This was weird because we had another company come to our home, and not charge us for the estimate. It seems dishonest to NOT tell your customer that they are going to be charged for an estimate before even scheduling one. Although we did pay the fee, we were surprised by the fee. Finally, it is now March 7th and we have yet to see an estimate on replacement costs. When I called the company to inquire about the charge and the estimate, I did not receive a, "sorry we didn't inform you of the charge," or a timeline to receive the estimate. I felt I was an annoyance to them, even though I was professional on the phone. Unfortunately, we don't feel comfortable working with them now.
A rated it 1/5: The only thing worse than their quality of work is their inability to drive safely. I have excellent photos and videos of your workers cutting off traffic, zig zagging with the trailer wobbling, and speeding 40+ in a residential 25mph. I’m turning it into authorities but you might want to take a good faith effort to attempt to rectify the negligence by your workers.

He provided me with a couple of options but highly recommended that it get replaced in the near future. During the repair, a member of his team kept me informed throughout the entire process. The team also managed to complete the repair in a only few hours (including digging out and then re-filling part of the street). I would definitely recommend A Team Excavation to others!

The sewer scope people I originally hired missed a big problem because one of the cleanouts was buried. Fred was quick to expose the problem and was able to fit me in, in less than 48 hours. Would recommend to anyone needing a sewer replacement. No issues since my line was replaced, it only took a day to fix. Also Fred is honest and will tell you the truth of what needs to be done, instead of what can make him the most money.

Haelee Engel rated it 5/5: Backhoe Fred and The ATeam is my go-to sewer contractor! Fred is so knowledgeable, professional, on time, and friendly. He is able to do everything from a sewer scope to cleaning a line, to full excavation or pipe bursts and "sleeves". So, when a problem shows up in a scope, he can give you a couple of options plus a ballpark estimate right on the spot. I have never had Fred try to upsell me on any of the jobsites that I have worked with him on. I have also never had him not honor his bid. And to back him up, Alana is a rock star in the office…equally knowledgeable, available, professional and SO HELPFUL! Realtors….if you need a reliable teammate for inspections, this is the one you need!!

The office coordinator was able to get someone out the same day I called to resolve an issue, and when I experienced a potential plumbing issue in late in the night they still answered and reassured me that they would come the next day to resolve the issue, which they did. Dan is incredible, he came out and further help me understand why I was having a reoccurring issue in my townhome.They worked with me and my unusual work schedule, to ensure that I would be able to be there, even though it was outside of business hours and the day before a holiday. Definitely will only be using them for any future plumbing needs, 10/10 would recommend

They came to my home the same day I called and scheduled the work for two days later. Zach worked in the crawlspace under my house for hours. When plan 1 didn't work, he went to plan 2, including digging up around the sewer line. He was incredible!!! Professional courtesy is abundant with these men. The problem was solved and thankfully wasn't a collapsed line. The price was quite reasonable given the work that was done. Use them again? You betcha!! Thanks Dan and Zach. You rock!!!!!

The pros:
-Dan was prompt to respond when I had an issue on the weekend.
-The work of Dan and his crew was perfect.
-They kept me up to date and consulted me throughout the repair process.
-Everyone was exceedingly kind and professional.
-The price was amazing.
-Everyone has good vibes – when you have a bunch of people working on your house it makes such a difference when they're genuinely nice people.
-I have a bunch of dogs and the crew always let me know when they were going to be in the backyard, so I didn't have to keep my dogs cooped up inside all day.
-I don't really understand anything about plumbing and they were able to explain things in a way I could understand without talking down to me.

The cons:
-Literally none.

TLDR: If you need some plumbing work done, look no further than this company. They're the best of the best.

When I tried to do it myself, I ran into a tree root as big as my waste and could not get past. Randy dug under the root and saved my tree. He did a great job on short notice at a very reasonable price. Randy and Brian were very friendly and professional. They went out of their way to put the dirt where I could work around it to bring in sand. They also built a temporary bridge across the trench so my wife could access her art studio. I can't say enough about them and highly recommend Spotted Dog Excavating.
George Carter rated it 5/5: Randy helped me after I had an electric line fail in my direct burial lines that go from the utilities transformer to my main electrical panel. I needed a 160-foot-long trench opened on fairly steep hillside that has many large rocks, grown scrub oak stands, and other obstructions. After calling other contractors whose bids were unreasonably high, I called Randy, and he promptly inspected the site. I found him to be knowledgeable and affordable. He said he could work my project into his schedule fairly quickly, and he started the job 2 days later. He had a confident manner and attention to detail that was reassuring.He was also very careful to do as little damage as possible to our property and trees. He even went so far as to move many of the larger unearthed rocks to places of our choosing for landscaping purposes. He and Brian were always courteous and friendly. They completed the job in a timely fashion and left everything in great shape. I also found Randy to be one of the most caring people I've ever met. He not only did the job well, but he also went beyond what was required. I highly recommend Spotted Dog Excavating.

He’s also really good with communication and scheduling which is hard to come by these days. I can’t thank him enough and highly recommend him for any sewer line work you need done.

Called him to fix a different property , he never got back to me or showed as promised , I am disappointed to say the least. I would still cautiously recommend them based on my first job with them, but cautiously.
