Ashenafi Maru rated it 5/5: Our sewer main outlet was clogged. The first technician cleared the dirt that clogged it from out side but the problem happened again after a week. The company sent another professional called Angeleo and he cleared it from inside. I appreciate the company for solving the problem both times and sending its professionals the same day we called them. This staff Angeleo is excellent in his profession and very friendly. Keep the good work. God bless you.

  • Anne Stanford rated it 5/5: I had a drain back-up on my outside drain. The tech was very quick to diagnose and snake the drain. He left the area very clean. Super happy with very fast service. I made an online appointment at 10am and the tech was here and gone by 4pm. Excellent.
  • Lena Emara rated it 5/5: We had two clogged toilets and a fill valve that needed to be replaced to resolve a leak. Our technician was very punctual and responded quickly, and they offered very reasonable pricing. We’ll definitely use them again.

  • Charles Ros rated it 2/5: Was told that a tech was going to come out between a 4-hour period. However, they had to reschedule for the next morning after it went over the time period.

The next morning, they came within their time period window. For a bathroom sink that was clogged, they originally were going to charge about $700. When asked why it would cost that much for a job that seemed small, they then showed the price for a big job, which would be $1100.

The tech offered to reduce the price to $395 when we offered to pay cash. The tech said he would later return in the evening to do the job. We ended up canceling the appointment. It honestly felt like they were trying to rip us off with that price. Instead of using their service, ended up using a drain snake and unclogged the sink ourselves.

Pros: good customer representative service, answers calls timely and respectful
Cons: expensive, didn't honor 4-hour time period

  • Cloud Hub Computing rated it 1/5: O don't recommend this company to anyone. I did use the services and they provide very poor quality. The team they send you are not professionals and they do not know what they are doing. They have ruined my place saying they're going to fix it but when it comes to fixing most of the part they say it's not our job. So if it was in your job why do you ruin my place. Then they do some magic tricks showing their contract that they are only drying company or something like that. I have lost thousands of dollars because of them. Just find anyone else.

Zach Geller rated it 1/5: My experience with Magnolia was abysmal. I called Magnolia on a Thursday asking them for the first available appointment because my air conditioner was dripping a lot of water every time it turned on. They said the first time available is that Sunday… fine, I get it’s the busy season. Sunday comes along and the technician’s equipment, a wet vac, isn’t working and says he will have to come back when it is working. He notes that the cause of the problem is likely the condensate line and that he will call to schedule the new appointment. Days go by and I don’t hear back from him or anyone at Magnolia so I called again. It is now Wednesday, 6 days since my first call. Miraculously, they say he can come that day! I stay home that day and wait for his call but it never comes. Late that evening I get a call from the tech saying he can’t come that day but he’ll be there Friday morning. He arrives on friday morning with his wet vac and nothing else and vacuums out the condensation pan and then asks for paper towels – I figure he’s cleaning up some of the splashed water that got on the walls and floor. Then he says something along the lines of “if the problem persists, we will need to rebuild the condensate line” and hands me his card reader to pay the bill. $189 dispatch fee and $235 for vacuuming out the pan. I was shocked. Had I known he was just going to vacuum out the pan for $235 and not actually fix the problem, I would have spent the $200 at Home Depot to buy my own wet vac. Unsurprisingly, the drip started back up within the day but was coming from a different spot now. I followed up directly with him and then with the dispatch team. I asked for them to apply the money I already paid to actually repairing it… a full week later and I still have not heard back. I’ve never felt like anyone has ever taken advantage of me so aggressively before. $424 is no small amount of money, especially considering the time I needed to put into this for negative results. Not to mention that when I hired a more competent company to clear the condensate line, they found the paper towels I handed the Magnolia tech shoved into the pan which caused the leak to move and damage even more drywall. I’m still waiting for my refund. Make this right, Magnolia.

  • Art Hahn rated it 5/5: Fantastic!
I can't praise Magnolia Plumbing Heating and Cooling enough! We needed a gas line leak replaced so we got 5 estimates. Magnolia's quote was 70% less expensive than the others! The technician, Nelson, was the only one that informed us about a much less costly option ($760) than what the others proposed, which were all over $3000! The others were going to bust up my patio flooring and replace an entire segment of the pipes, leaving me with the cost to replace all the flooring. They claimed that Washington Gas would not pass the inspection if they didn't replace the entire line. Magnolia replaced only the portion that was leaking and did not have to dig up my flooring.

The technician was super friendly and easy to talk to, but also very professional. He was not only able to answer all my questions but also provided in-depth explanations and kept me informed of everything he was going to do in advance.

In addition to the technician being awesome, my experience communicating with everyone at the company was also great! They sent me texts and called me to keep me well informed of when the technician would be coming.

I highly recommend Magnolia and will be using them for all my future needs!

  • Bobby Becker rated it 5/5: I'd like to take a moment and commend the Magnolia team for their professionalism, knowledge, high level of service, quality of work and good communication throughout our whole project. We deal with many service contractors and Magnolia has set themselves apart. I noticed this from the start from the quoting/planning phase and it continued through project execution. We had a last minute code issue get flagged by the inspector (no fault of Magnolia) and they handled these changes fairly and appropriately. It has been a pleasure dealing with everyone I interacted with. I would highly recommend Magnolia.
  • Richard Ingebretsen rated it 5/5: Excellent and prompt professional service. Our technician, Saeid, was courteous and took the time to explain what he was doing, what the problem was, and what needed to be done. Any time an additional item or potential problem was mentioned, it was done in the way of suggestion and not a pushy/salesman like manner. I have always had a great experience with Magnolia Companies, first as a renter when they were the emergency plumber our landlord called when our unit started flooding at midnight, and now as a homeowner with an old HVAC unit. Highly recommend!
  • Harry Fang rated it 5/5: I've used Magnolia for our HVAC and plumbing services. They hire quality service engineers and came with masks and shoe covers. For the AC issue they quickly fixed the issue (Cleaned out the filter in the closed recirculation system, which apparently is a common problem with the building). The plumbing inspection which came at a different time was done for free, because we have a maintenance contract with the HVAC group. They found a small leak under the bathroom sink because of not properly tightened drain lever cap. Good quality service personnel. Their schedulers also typically call us before they come. The last time they called to tell us they were delayed and we would have to reschedule as it was late in the day.

  • Lorna Shanklin rated it 5/5: We found out we needed our main water line replaced. Evidently we'd had a leak for a few weeks. Our neighbors had used Freedom previously for the same issue. I had an appointment for an estimate on Friday. And had the repairs start the following Monday. Everything went as planned, and communication was amazing. The office staff was great handling my questions. Everyone I dealt with was helpful, and professional. I would definitely use them again.
  • Alan T rated it 5/5: CAVEAT: This company does offer customers discounts for leaving '5-star' reviews (I was offered, but turned it down, so that my review would not be 'swayed' in any way).

    Septic Tank Pumping:

I'm very pleased with the experience, and would be comfortable recommending them another home owner.

The company's office staff were very communicative, they called to confirm a day ahead of time, and called the day of to give me a heads up regarding arrival time of the person performing the service (in my case, pumping a septic tank).

The person performing the service (William) was respectful, knowledgeable, welcomed questions from me, and kept me informed on his progress, warned me about some 'upsell' techniques that less ethical companies might try to use, as well as tips to save money on future service requests, etc. Delivered excellent value, from my perspective.

Was very honest about the condition of things, gave solid recommendations for maintenance, worked quickly, and was very courteous.

  • karen harris rated it 5/5: Septic Clean out: We just had Freedom Plumbers pump our septic tank for our regular 5 year County requirement. They were not only on time and professional they also pointed out a "filter" that was placed on our last service by another company that caused the fluids to drain and the solids to compact like a "mattress". To get us back to a healthy system Freedom plumbers did a deep clean and removed all the backed up toilet tissue and removed the filter that was causing the congestion. The filter was placed by the previous company was most likely placed to cause issue and a return trip down the line. Thanks Freedom Plumbers for a job well done, honestly, professionally and timely. We will be using you again.

John Smith rated it 1/5: Did not come on the day they said; did not call to explain or reschedule; charged credit card without authorization; fuel surcharge on bills; poor quality septic inspection during home purchase cost me over a thousand afterwards in repairs I was then liable for; WILL NOT accommodate or seek to accommodate unhappy customers. The pricing IS fair and competitive, and the warranty on products is better than most.

  • Helicia Chavarry rated it 5/5: Five star septic came out to us in August after several months of us having to constantly turn out septic alarms off. They figured out the issue very quick and scheduled the repairs right away. I feel bad that I'm leaving this review so late, but they really were great. The reason I'm circling around to write this is because I had to deal with another company recently (for a totally separate home repair) who wasn't so great and it made me think about just how responsive and also patient five star was when we had our problem. I think it says a lot on the great impression that they gave that it was running through my mind enough in the middle of the night to post about the job they did!
  • Gary Ahrens rated it 5/5: Thank you for helping us this weekend. 10 stars! My septic tank was full and backed up. The plumbing didst for the house was down for the count. I called around and no other companies even answered the phone. After a short phone and text conversation, Five Star was here inspecting the situation and developing a plan. A short time later a second crew arrived, pumped and jetted the system, and our issue was resolved. I am very happy with the service and the price. These guys are now on my list for regular septic service. Thanks again!
  • Linda Arnold rated it 2/5: This toilet was put IN FRONT of a bus parking space. At least 5 calls made to have it moved. Told repeatedly that it was happening immediately but 2 1/2 weeks later it’s still there.
  • John Smith rated it 1/5: Did not come on the day they said; did not call to explain or reschedule; charged credit card without authorization; fuel surcharge on bills; poor quality septic inspection during home purchase cost me over a thousand afterwards in repairs I was then liable for; WILL NOT accommodate or seek to accommodate unhappy customers. • Mei Mostafa rated it 1/5: I contacted Five Star septic to inspect a reoccurring blockage I had in my basement bathroom. This is the second time they are coming out for the same issue I was having back in Jan 2022, where at that time they cleaned the pipe with the snake and charged me over $400. Now we are having the same issue. they came out charged me $220 (with gas surcharge) to inspect again the same issue they supposably resolved this same year. I was told at the 15 min inspection appointment that they need to use a camera to properly inspect the drain. they came out the next day to use the camera, unprepared (the driver was asking for batteries for his equipment). It waws determined the issue was a plumbing issue inside the home. Then they wanted to charge me another $450 for the camera. I was told the $220 I paid the day before would go toward the camera. I called to talk Nelson who said they are separate charges. I asked to talk to the manager the see if they can provide me with an explanation of why the camera was not used earlier this year before they cleaned the pipe, since this should be standard practice! They did not give me a good reason, or a discount even with my concern that I don't feel $670 ($220 inspection, $450 camera) is a fair price to charge clients, and I still need to call a plumber. Do yourself a favor and get very clear pricing before you take any step with this company, this to me is robbery and extremely overpriced for what I am getting. I am not happy.

The gentleman who arrived was exceptionally kind and patient with me and agreed to come back at a later time when I could figure out what I’ve got going on. The person who scheduled the appointment was also very kind and professional. I will definitely be scheduling with them again.

  • Bob Filippi rated it 5/5: We have been in our house 5 years and figured it was time to pump the tank since we had it pumped and inspected when we bought the house. Upon arrival we we told the tank did not need pumping. The gentleman could have easily said the tank needed pumping and charged us the full pumping fee instead of the much lower service fee. This was also the same situation at a previous house about 15 years ago.
Brothers' Johnson has definitely earned our respect and future business.
  • Amanda Guilfoy rated it 5/5: Definitely best in county for septic pumping! Zach came out today and took the time to answer questions and educate on our septic tank as we have never owned a home with one before. He told me a bit about the business and loved hearing that’s it’s family owned and operated. After our experience this morning with Zach we are lifelong customers and plan to recommend them to others in future. Thanks again BJ!

Informative and straightened with pricing. They were very helpful! And then the man who came out to do the service (he said he is the only one who drives)I forget his name but He was very helpful and reassuring. He was personable, professional, and he showed up right on time. We had him pump our rv tank and he was in and out of here in less than 10 minutes. He made the experience effortless on my part and also tolerated all my questions and concerns with a smile! I would recommend this company to anyone. tHANK YOU !

He charged me 550 for the job which was a little more doable for me. I will continue to work with them in the event I have a future problem. They cleared the clog and went the extra mile showing me what I’d do to replace the unit. Thanks Darius and Tony for all your hard work!

  • Michael Dubinsky rated it 5/5: Needed my septic pumped and wanted another inspection as the one done 2 years ago during the buying process was not very detailed and the drawing seemed (was) off on where the drain field actually was on my property. Found Jimmy’s through Google search and liked the Reviews.

I had a 5 star experience from start to finish, sharing the same experience with many others on the pleasant conversation and explanation from the office (Jimmy’s wife from what I gather in the other reviews). Jimmy was early for my appointment and was more than happy to answer the questions I had and described in detail what he was inspecting and how the system worked. Inspection report was detailed and delivered same day.

Thanks Jimmy! Highly recommended and will only use him again in the future.

  • Yantzy Arnell rated it 5/5: I had my two tanks pumped by Jimmy. Awesome guy answering all my questions, very helpful. Great pricing! I will never go anywhere else for septic service!

John Crawford rated it 2/5: I had them pump out my holding tank and that part went well but I also paid several hundred dollars to scope out my pipes leading back to the house as I believed there may have been some damage don to them after having a patio installed. they came and did the work but never provided me with a report or any information. I tried calling back over 6 times only to be told the owner was busy and would call back. In the end it was money lost as they never responded to my enquiries and I had to go with a different company to conduct the same work.

I gave them many chances to fix this and was never even acknowledged. I do not recommend this company .

  • Charlie Srekas rated it 5/5: I have used them twice now to drain our septic system. The first time was an emergency call and most recently it was a normal service. They have always been very knowledgeable, friendly, and communicated clearly. And on top of that the pricing is reasonable.

    Thanks Beall & Sons!

  • Raechell W.Bailey rated it 5/5: We used Beall & Sons to replace our septic drain field. They were quite responsive in helping us determine a layout that would allow us the best flexibility for future uses of our yard. They coordinated wonderfully with the inspectors and were able to quickly and efficiently remove the old system, install the new system, and repair and reseed the grounds. I am quite impressed, and even the inspector spoke highly of their work. They also cleaned up the work site and regraded very nicely.

Their pricing is fair and I am grateful to see a well functioning family business where it is evident that best practices and experience is handed down from generation to generation. I highly recommend this company.

  • Cari W rated it 3/5: Previously, I would have given Beall's at least 4 stars. I have mixed feelings about my recent contact with them with Taylor via phone. Taylor was very helpful but, I don't believe, very knowledgeable. She gave some inaccurate information about my septic system.

  • Samantha Crisp rated it 1/5: After our septic system failed inspection by another company during the process of selling our home, we reached out to Beall for installation of a BAT system. From July through August, we called every few days to get the extensive process in motion and very intermittently was able to directly speak to the person we needed to. Generally, we would call and need to leave messages to a staff member who didn't know any specifics of our case, and wait days for any follow-up IF we got any follow-up at all. When we were attempting to obtain a written proposal for the septic work from Beall, we didn't hear back from Beall until 4 days after we sent them the approval document from the county only to be told we'd have to wait 3 weeks until Beall could re-inspect the work site with the county before the contractor was comfortable writing up a written proposal. I requested to schedule this site visit, but again, the person on the phone said she couldn't do anything but pass along the message. We immediately sent the same document to another local company and received a written proposal the following day and we've been smooth sailing with that contractor every since. We never heard back from Beall at all.

Another issue we had – we started off this whole process by hiring Beall to drain our septic system. On the day of service, we were home all day and did not get any indication that the service was done – no knock on the door, no call, no flyer left on the porch (which is what the company was supposed to leave behind according to the representative on the phone). The ground looked untouched. The only verification we could get was the representative stating the truck was on site at our house according to GPS tracking and an invoice emailed to us days later.
