Janet Nelson rated it 5/5: I could not be happier with Junk King! My family inherited a house that needed to be purged before putting it on the market–we needed to completely empty the house, basement, garage and large piles of miscellaneous debris throughout the yard and property. Junk King saved the day! They were able to start working the next day after their on-site estimate. The workers were prompt, professional, and very respectful. I marveled at how fast they worked, and they were able to take EVERYTHING (except for the hazardous materials that needed disposal at a proper waste site)! They even managed to remove and take things that were mounted to the walls, and heft an enormous fridge out of the basement and onto their truck. I can't say enough about how impressed I was with this crew! They also committed to their estimate and did not charge for the extra truck they needed to finish the job. And I am very impressed with their ethics–they recycle everything they can first before sorting the rest for repurposing. I highly recommend Junk King, and know I would not hesitate to use them again!

They got all the stuff hauled out in under 30 minutes and were extremely nice. The price was also incredibly reasonable. Would highly recommend to anyone needing junk removed 🙂
  • Kelly Sanches rated it 4/5: The two gentlemen who took our junk were very friendly and professional. Their first quote was fairly high but they came down considerably. Feels great to have our garage emptied out! And they were able to come an hour early. I’d recommend them!

Martin Woodward rated it 5/5: I purchased a used Laptop memory module via eBay from them. They shipped it quick and it was in like-new condition. It was a good price, at truly reasonable shipping costs, arrived safely packed and showed perfect when checked out with Memtest 86+.
I will definitely look for them again for any further parts needs.
Thank You Ocean Tech for a perfect transaction.

Thank you OceanTech for a superb transaction.
  • Ted Stahl rated it 5/5: I needed some longer 3.5mm cables for my modular system. As I was browsing through listings on Ebay, I stumbled across a posting from OceanTech. Shipping included, I was able to order a box of 100 6' cables for $25.84. That's under 26 cents per cable! They appear to be working great and I doubt that I will need to order any 6' cables for years to come. Great experience! Great price! Shipped FAST! I will gladly consider them for future purchases and heartily recommend them to anyone interested!
    Peace.
  • Jeffrey Nofsinger rated it 1/5: Everything is great, unless you have a problem. The first order I placed did not have issues. However, the second order I had to replace the hard drive to get the PC they sent to boot. There were also some issues with the power supply voltage. I requested a return Saturday on eBay and was told no problem by Kim. All I had to do was follow the steps on eBay and she would send a label. I did not hear back from Kim, instead I received an email from eBay that OceanTech escalated the case and the refund was denied. This all happened within a span of 10 minutes. They told eBay the computer was not in the same condition they sent it in. This is surprising since they have not sent a label, so they have not received the pc back yet. Apparently they are well versed in the ability to see the future. Maybe next time they should actually take back the customers return before they claim it is not in the same condition.

Luckily these were just test orders as I was considering using OceanTech to order cost-effective computers for local clients. So much for using a local business.

    Use at your own risk.

  • Ron Halliday rated it 5/5: Great experience!!! Mike and his team were very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. We have lived in our house for over 20 years and finally got around to cleaning out the garage. Brought a whole SUV full of assorted chemicals, fluorescent bulbs, fixtures, electronic parts, etc. Helped us get it all processed quickly and easily. Excellent team work. Couldn't be more satisfied.
  • Allison Olfelt rated it 5/5: Great experience here! Showed up with a trailer load of cardboard. Was immediately helped by several employees to unload it. The bottom of the pile had been snowed on and I was told they couldn't accept it. Understandable. The employees went above and beyond to dig through and take what they COULD accept and then one man told me about a place that would take the rest of my material. Super thankful for all of their help. Will be back with more (dry!) cardboard!
  • jim hughes rated it 2/5: This used to be a great operation. But over time they've added numerous restrictions and requirements.

It's no fun driving down there with a carload of stuff only to have them cherry-pick it, then drive home with the rest of it, unload it and try to slip it in your trash. The more stuff you try to properly dispose of, the more likely you are to waste a trip.

  • Charlie Miller rated it 1/5: Wow I've never been treated so poorly for doing the right thing. I've been recycling there for many years and there's a few guys there that are not happy and put that on others. Very disappointed. They should be helpful on educating proper recycling to others instead of plane rude. I didn't know you couldn't recycle 10gallons of oil at one time. But made it like I was doing something bad for that and did help to solve an issue.

  • FREDRICK “Knowledge” NUNNALLEY rated it 5/5: Waste management is a good company to work for. I started at waste Management in about 2012 with a temp service called Atlas staffing. I started my journey and got hired on to waste management in 2015 which I learned how to run every machine and equipment in the whole plant by the time 2017, I became the plant Lead which then I overseas daily operation of the plant including safety regulations and OSHA recordables. Overall this a great company work for 401k, stocks and bonds, health benefits plus bonuses and time off. I would definitely recommend this employee to anyone… Great management team and also the hours are great. I departed from this employee in 2020 over all I will definitely say they deserve five stars.
    Waste Management 🔥🔥🌞☀️
  • Kristen Denzer rated it 1/5: Three of our preschool locations are currently using Waste Management. After having a completely awful experience with Curbside Waste (them missing pick-ups), we figured it we switched to a larger, more "corporate" company that we would have a better experience. We couldn't have been more wrong. Over the past six months we have experienced overage charges to the tune of thousands of dollars, constant missed pick-ups, and blatant falsification of service records.

We started receiving bills for "overages" – a few bags extra so the lid didn't close all the way – and it was $100 per time. We then increased our service to be twice as frequent as we used to have (went from 2x per week to 4x per week). Still had overages once a month or so. We've been puzzled about it because we doubled our service.

Then, last week, WM did not come to one of our daycares a single day. They missed their Monday and Tuesday pick-up. They promised to come on Wednesday (not our normal day) to fix it. Sure enough, they didn't show up. Also didn't show up Thursday, then Friday. The entire week – leaving us with heaps of trash piled up.

Then, this morning, we emailed again about the situation and they insisted their driver did in fact come pick up. They went as far to send us the "time stamp" proving that he came. Seeing a bin heaping full of trash, we knew that was not accurate and the rep – Logan – even questioned us if others dumped after the pick-up. We sat down and reviewed the security camera video footage. Sure enough, they did NOT come. We emailed him letting him know we knew he did come and could prove it, and what do you know, he admitted the driver actually did skip the pick-up and the "time stamped" proof was falsified. I included the images of these emails with this review.

We are already looking for a new provider. At least with our old one, they admitted their mistakes and didn't falsify records. Avoid WM at all costs.

  • Abdiwak Yohannes rated it 1/5: My yard waste was delayed for weeks at a time and my normal garbage would often be delayed to the next day. When asking for someone to please come and pick up our yard waste, we would be told that it isn't possible. I was over it and switched to Walters. Consistency is everything when it comes to waste pickup and Waste Management did not meet that standard for us.
  • Kevin J rated it 1/5: On a good week my service is delayed by a day or two. A bad week it doesn't get picked up at all. So tired of having to call them, just going to cancel when I have time.
  • Brennon John rated it 1/5: Why is it so hard to get a hold of someone to schedule a bulk pick-up? Nobody can seem to help me every time I call, absolutely frustrating and ridiculous!!

Pup Eberts rated it 1/5: Although it's apparently run by a private company, it's as bureaucratic as the worst public agency. It's customer interface is pretty much pre-internet. Be prepared to write down a confirmation number to recall your order if the service rep miss-hears your address, or you'll lose your non-transferable reservation and you'll have to go home and "re-book" your "privilege" to drop off trash.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Alyson Nowell rated it 5/5: Have you ever enjoyed throwing your trash away? Well, I just had the time of my life. The guy at the window was super nice and informative and Warren inside was helpful and joked around with us. I loved chucking my old beat up trash in their respectful piles.
  • Jason Richardson rated it 5/5: I've never had a bad experience at the transfer station, but today was exceptional. The guys were super nice, very helpful, and absolutely hilarious. Thanks for turning a trip to the dump into a good time!
  • Patrick Gunderson rated it 3/5: been on hold for 45 minutes, great staff and awesome service for minneapolis residents. make sure you call in to create a drop off ticket before pulling up.

  • James Schanen rated it 1/5: The service itself is invaluable. However, the woman that checks you in and out does not try to do it expeditiously, at all. I honestly thought she was having a medical emergency when I pulled in today, I had waited so long. All the people in the lot were trying to make excuses for her (w.g., nobody wants to work on a Saturday). When I was leaving, I knew she was sensitive, so I just waited in my car to get the ok to leave. The blinds were pulled in her office, so I got out of the car to get her attention after about 10 minutes of waiting. She immediately started attacking me. It was effing ridiculous. Worse service I have received in a year. And such a pity, because the service is so valuable. I recommend anybody that goes to the station time their wait and record any interaction with the staff.

He was able work with us on service level and pricing to ensure our needs are met. Their dispatch team is on top of it! Would recommend this company to any small business who requires waste removal.
  • Trish Gavin rated it 5/5: I requested a quote from Aspen for a restaurant I'm in the process of opening and even though they couldn't give us service the team member (I wish I could remember his name) called me, patiently explained how waste services work and have me recommendations for other companies. He definitely went above and beyond and was informative and professional.
  • Kaitlyn Meyer rated it 1/5: Once again, this is the state of my neighborhood because of aspen waste. Shame on them and shame on EIG Management of 3600 Fremont Ave N. Not all tenants contribute to this, but all tenants have to live surrounded with garbage because the property managers and the waste disposal services don’t care about keeping our community clean. This is how it always looks.
  • Natalie rated it 1/5: We are charged $15 a bill for an organics bin that we did not sign up to use. Called and asked it to be removed but the charge is per their “policy”.
  • Nicholas Kraemer rated it 1/5: Terrible experience. You can see from the picture that almost all of the recycling was left in the bin after "pick up." They refused to return even though the truck was still visible on the street when we called. The attempted pick up was observed and not effort was made. Personally I would be humiliated to work for such a company or provide such a low level of service. They are the monopoly provider in the area where this occurred.

Brian Balquist rated it 5/5: I had a great experience on my tour here. Many of the poor reviews are about personal grievances with collection services, etc., but the people of Eureka care and that's more than can be said about many private, for profit recycling companies.

Most relevant reviews:

  • Rachel Yost-Dubrow rated it 5/5: Eureka cares deeply about recycling materials in a environmentally and socially responsible way. They lead great tours for our students who leave the experience energized and knowledgeable. Their high standards for what materials they can and can't accept are what allow them to continue operating and producing quality materials that industry is eager to reuse.

  • Yer Y rated it 1/5: They decided that because we had put our recycling to close to the pole they wouldn't take our recycling for the week. It's been in the same spot for the last SEVEN years that we have lived here, no problems. I guess the workers are getting lazy. They had the time to put the sign on our cart but didn't have the time to take it before leaving it. The city needs to get a better recycling service. They also don't bother to take the extras you leave out there in boxes even though they claim they do. Lazy workers and horrible service!
  • Ju Xiong Her rated it 1/5: They missed picking up my recycling bins and blames me for not putting it out. I know that I put the BINs out the night before they come pick it up and they said that they will review the picture/video. I asked if they can send me that picture so I can make sure that it was my house, but they refuse to. I now know why this company has such a low review. Saint Paul needs to pick a better company or I will stop recycling.

Edit: They picked up my trash after looking at the video twice. Also they missed my trash 2 weeks later and said the same thing that I didn't put out the bins. They also came back to get the bins the next day. They need to retrain and get new management.

  • Josh Tanguay rated it 1/5: They are not able to perform to the level they need to. Last week our recycling was not picked up due to a routing error, the entire alley on the north side did not get picked up. Then, this week they did not pick up our recycling due to the alley being icy. No kidding, it is Minnesota in February, buy a set of chains.

To not be able to perform in normal Minnesota winter conditions tells me that they should not hold the Saint Paul contract. I had a freezer delivered in the same alley today in an empty Penske moving truck. Theoretically, just as light if not lighter than a recycling truck. When speaking to the customer service agent they informed me that due to being a non profit and not having as many trucks as larger companies, they cannot risk a truck getting stuck. So this is now the homeowners problem to bear. We are expected to get 24 inches of snow in the next three days, I am anticipating that our recycling will be picked up sometime in April.

We are simply paying for a service that does not meet expectations and it is unfortunate that the residents of Saint Paul do not have other options.

Ryan Burkett rated it 1/5: Terrible customer service. Pickup was missed Wednesday. Called Friday and scheduled pickup for Monday. Still no pickup. Called Tuesday. Was told they would look into it and call me back and said your regular day is tomorrow so if nothing else it will be then. This is a service that they are getting paid for and not providing. 1.8 stars shows their true colors..

  • Natalie Mayeux rated it 1/5: I absolutely do NOT recommend Republic for residential waste and yard waste removal. We had to call every week for four weeks for them to come collect our yard waste, with each time someone saying it would be collected the next day. Ultimately, they never came until we canceled our services and they had to come pick up our bins. They have also missed regular waste pick ups that I’ve had to call about. They also auto charged me almost $100 after I already paid the balance on my final Bill. Customer service isn’t the most friendly or knowledgeable either. So happy to be using a different company and to be done with Republic. I rarely leave bad reviews but wanted to share my experiences to hopefully help someone else avoid a headache.
  • Shaomeng Zhang rated it 1/5: Horrible company. Acquired competition (Randy's), then started increasing fee every billing cycle. Also when they inherited my account they didn't update my billing and decided to charge a late fee arbitrarily, without even notifying me of the billing increase or late fee. When they eventually sent out an email, they just listed two items in the most vague way possible about the charges. And when I wanted to cancel their service, there is another $30 cancelation fee… unbelievable… That's why I'm seeing my neighbors quitting them and I'm going to post to all my groups about how great they are.
  • Joan Gossell rated it 1/5: Do NOT use this company! I had no choice when Randy’s sold out to them. My bill tripled. When I called to cancel, I was told that they would charge me $88 to pick up THEIR bin! The Republic website specifically states that if there is a fee, it would not exceed $50. They price gouge & customer service is quick to threaten to send you to collections if you disagree with their “policy”. Also, when they learned that we were canceling their service, they did not pick up the yard waste that we paid them to take away. Almost every one of my neighbors has dumped Republic. Wish I’d have done it sooner.
  • Ben Mattox rated it 1/5: My trash has been sitting on the curb since 9/1. I called 9/1, 9/2, 9/6 to be given the same answer from their customer service team. We will be there by 5pm to pick up. Today is 9/7, trash is still on the curb and I asked for a supervisor to call me early this morning. Still no call. Very bad experience. They say they want to make your experience great on the phone, but they never provide the service. Trash is now building up in my driveway, do to this….
