I got a number of bids and theirs fell in the mid-range. The willingness to answer questions, do some extra cleaning (deck and flagstone walk) on their own initiative (for no additional cost over the quoted price), and explain other services they provide (without upselling pressure) make me very likely to use their services in the future.
Even when you do your 'due diligence' to choose a vendor, it is always great to feel you made the right choice and I am very pleased with the excellent results.

They were a great team, communicated if they had any questions. Joseph came to look at our property after the initial pictures we sent to insure the quote was correct. He was professional and got back to us promptly on all matters. The staff that came worked in 90+ heat and humidity without complaint. I provided them water since I was worried, but they were so professional and timely in these services. You can't go wrong with Between Cleaning!! Best service ever. The rates increased and our cleanings were not thorough. We also experienced two mishaps. The first issue was taken care of and the second issue was not. While online booking is convenient, the cleaning consistency is an issue since you never deal with the same house cleaners. The quality of service is just not the same as prior years. Ultimately, we have parted ways. I suspect the owner will reply to try and invalidate this honest and factual review.

The first incident was that they broke a picture frame above my bed. They did not call or leave me a note to notify me that the frame had been broken, but rather just left it for me to find. They did offer to replace the frame only after I reached out to them, but I got the frame a while ago and they were no longer being sold.
The second incident was that they locked my cat in the closet for the entire day without water or his litter box. I understand that mistakes happen, but when someone not only marks that they have a pet, but also pays extra for that pet, I feel like a little more care could be helpful. I reached out to them and they did not offer to waive the pet fee for this cleaning.
Their actual cleaning services are alright – not great, not terrible. There were definitely some spots that I had to touch up after they came. Their prices seem to be lower than many other cleaning companies which is why I didn’t really mind.

The service has been adequate (but never great and they’ve broken things) but then post-COVID, they started the practice of offering one price (an increased price) and then calling once the cleaners were at my home and saying it was going to take more time and therefore, cost more. The reviews about the price gouging are 100% true. You book for one price and then they call and say it will be more. If you decline, they ask your priorities and refuse to clean the whole house (which you thought you were getting when you booked the service). The final straw was they called and said that I had to pay $160 more for service when I had already agreed to pay $230. They told me I only agreed to pay for 2 hours but when I looked at my receipt, it said 4 hours and 45 minutes. The booking receipt they sent me told me the length of time and the amount. When they called, they told me the length of service was wrong and only for one person but they had sent two so I owed them for that. I refused. It’s a totally unethical, underhanded practice. There are multiple reviews about it and I wish I would’ve read them before today. The manager who I won’t name is awful. We ended up in a screaming match bc she told me “team” could mean “single person” and I should’ve known the receipt didn’t mean what it said.
Do not trust the quoted price. I also paid for a “deep cleaning” and no such cleaning was done. There are a ton of cleaning services. I would not use this one ever again.

Disregard for protecting surfaces in home exhibited a complete lack of courtesy. No protection on walls led to dirty water being slung all over newly painted walls and trim in kitchen. Removal of return vent resulted in newly painted wall being scratched as well. Wouldn't recommend.

The rep informed me that the average 1bed/1ba would be ~$125 (understanding that this was an estimate); however we were billed almost double for poor quality work. The 2 ladies spent 3.5 hours in an EMPTY condo, yet the results were HORRIBLE! Absolute lack of detail! The manager offered to send another crew to redo the work; however when I tried to schedule them to come back I have yet to receive a response.

Then they messaged me at 1:30am… didn't get to message back till the next morning but never gave me a call only through message and didn't give a me quote and didn't explain any service what they were going to do…. messaged back because I was so skeptical and also only had about 1 week till move out. Well no answer from them so I had to call another company to get my service done… and yes they were professionals asking all the details and what kind of services I needed. Don't understand why this company has 4 stars.

Our hours & schedules are unconventional; plus they change all the time. We can only trust a company that commits to 1000% responsive communication with us. They have cleaned & cleared trash from different locations for us. We've counted on Jackpot Janitorial to service our restroom trailers that move around to different parts of town everyday. They take care of our trash pickups from locations, movie sets & catering spaces (sometimes we have trash produced by 1,000 people or more.) And they've gone above & beyond in making sure our "trash routes" were taken care of (which again requires extensive communication since every minute is different & things change all the time–and they can be trusted to never drop the ball!) We finally found a way to accommodate being sure we had the same custodian week to week since certain protocols, especially related to COVID, won't work on historic finishes. The owner personally steps in when needed on projects that require special attention. A great group that we're pleased to be working with.

Then a few months later we changed the service date from a Monday to a Friday. And guess what they didn't show.

Then we stopped service for a month and asked it to be resumed on a set date when our home repair work would be done and they didn't show. So in summation if they show, they do a reasonably good job, but if you try to change anything then they won't show.

Gary David rated it 5/5: Third time is the charm 🙂 This is my third cleaning service, I won't get into why the first two didn't work out but it boiled down to them not doing the basics, mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting.
What I really liked about MaidPro was on my initial phone call inquiry, someone called back to discuss what I needed to have done and my expectations. I told her that I have your standard DC one bedroom apartment and I would pre-clean before the cleaning professional arrived, clearing off surfaces, doing the dishes, etc. What I would like them to do is the stuff I hate, mopping the floors, cleaning the toilet and tub, dusting and mopping the floors. What surprised me after the phone call, is I'm pretty sure I was talking to the owner.

Day before the cleaning I got a voice mail reminding me of my appointment. Day of the appointment I got a call and they had a last minute cancellation, and would I like them to come earlier, which I appreciated but couldn't take advantage of because I was working from home that day.

The cleaning profession showed up within the appointment window with all the necessary cleaning supplies in tow. I got out of her way and went for a long dinner, when we were headed back after the 3 hour cleaning appointment, we got a call from the main office saying they were checking in with there person and she was concerned that she wouldn't have enough time to finish the floors. The person said that once I got home, if anything was not finished, they would send someone out for free to finish the next day.

When I got home, the cleaning professional ask me if she could have 15 more minutes to finish vacuuming and I said of course. After she left I looked around my place is in great shape. Bathroom looks great, kitchen looks great, and everything is dusted and smells nice. Exactly what I wanted.

Will book again!

I never usually write reviews, but I am so happy with our service and the team that takes care of us, I had to take the time to publicly thank them for all they do for us. We have been with MaidPro for about two years and they will be who will take care of our home for as long as we live in DC. My husband and I have tried a number of cleaning services over the years with disappointing results but Maidpro go above and beyond what other services will do. The cleaning teams are trustworthy, thorough and detailed as well as helpful in ways that go above and beyond the call of duty, like caring for our cat, making sure she has fresh food and litter. My husband and I work long hours and have little time at home. We a very particular about our home and what we like. Philip Doyle and our great team with Lorenzo, Miss Monic, Deborah and all the wonderful people who take such good care of us and our home are always happy to help us with whatever we need for a very reasonable fee. MaidPro Adams Morgan are hands down the best cleaning service I have found in my 15 years in DC!

1. Making the arrangements to have the cleaning service done was so easy compared to other places where you could be playing phone tag for days and not getting through on the line you are called on. Also, the coordination staff is professional and friendly.
2. The scheduling was wide open in terms of when I wanted them to come.
3. The cleaning crew arrived promptly at the window provided.
4. The cleaning crew (Sharon and Orlando) were efficient, expedient, professional and were just all around wonderful human beings. I almost wished I cleaned for THEM before they came.

I've used other services. They didn't make me as happy as Maidpro.

Katherine Burrill rated it 2/5: Communication was pretty poor – received a call morning of that the cleaning folks would arrive several hours earlier than previously agreed upon. Then they were 20 minutes later than day of estimate. Cost estimate was communicated as $130 for the appointment. Days after the appointment, I received a call saying it was $130 per hour. I'd requested fridge clean out only but the maids were told fridge clean out plus cabinets. Management tried to claim they were there for three hours, my best guess was two. All in all, very disorganized. The services themselves were good and bad – excellent job on the inside of the fridge, baseboards looked great. Mirrors/ windows were streaky or not done, missed spots on counter tops. Probably wouldn't use again.
