Upon arrival, the crew measured doorways and checked with me as to where the unit would be installed. They unpacked and removed all packaging outside, then carefully moved it into the house where it was designated. Everything went very well and the refrigerator is in good working order. It took about 3 weeks from the order date to the install. The delivery and install team worked around unexpected road work and limited parking like it was no big deal and took great care delivering and installing our new dishwasher. They had it up and running smoothly and did a great job explaining everything. I'm so happy with my new dishwasher and my Yale appliance experience. Thank you!

    I called and the automated system then informed me the technician was not going to be there till 6:30pm-7:45pm
    I own multiple properties changed the address 3 separate times for this appliance. Still had the wrong address. It is absolutely impossible to talk to a live agent and the automated system is awful. The technician did finally get here and was great and did a good job. But I wasted the entire day and had to miss work. Someone should have reached out to let me know or they should have a better timing window. My time is also valuable. Also sometimes you just need to be able to talk to a live agent.
    The freezer was brand new the ice maker never worked and I waited almost 6 months to get this fixed.

First problem was scheduling– I spoke to someone who clearly didn't have any relation to the business, it was a call center. I needed my dryer repaired and I also wanted the washer and dryer to have general servicing. The scheduler didn't know how or wasn't able to schedule one person to do both. I said I didn't understand why one person couldn't do all of this in one visit, I didn't want two separate people coming. He assured me that one person would do it all. Yet, on the day of service, the repair person came and was unaware that he was supposed to do general service on the machines.Then I got a call later from another service person saying he was on his way to service the machines.

    My dryer needed a new part and I was given a price that I thought was high, but now I was stuck because if I didn't use Sears Home Service to fix it, I'd be out $119 I paid for them to come diagnose the issue. So I said, fine, repair it. I had to pay in advance, and we scheduled a day. Prior to that date, I got a text and email saying they had changed the date– without even checking with me if it was convenient, which it was not. So I had to go back on line and reschedule it.

    On the day the repair person came, he had the job done in 25 minutes. The breakdown of the bill charged me $396 for labor. That's an hourly billing rate of $800!!! I tried calling Sears Home Service to question and dispute this, but there is no way to get a human. I went to the on line chat and was given an email address to write. The address wasn't a Sears email address, so I asked if this was correct and they gave me a completely different one. I asked how to get a copy of the chat and they said they would email it to me, but they didn't. I emailed the address I'd written down and never got any response. This feels like a huge scam. My intention is to report them to the Attorney General's office for price gouging.

    The technician that came to my home did not know anything, he briefly looked at my washer and told me that I needed to replace a part that was out of production, so I should just get a new machine. I had someone out for a second opinion, he ran actual diagnostics and found that there was an easy fix. The part that the Sears technician said was broken was completely fine. They are only trying to sell you new merchandise. I couldn't get a refund because their customer service says the $99 charge is just to get someone to your house, doesn't matter if they know anything about the machine or make an attempt to fix your problem.

Molly and Thomas were our main HVAC and electrician techs and were very communicative and helpful in explaining the process and “gotchas”. I feel 100% more knowledgeable about my HVAC and how to run it efficiently.

In addition, I was working from home the entire time and they were very gracious – hardly noticed them as they performed the work over 4.5 days. After the work was completed, I noticed a noise and they came back to check it out and fix the settings so it was no longer a problem. Can’t speak highly enough of the team.

We called All Brand and Vadym answered and came out same day to take a look. Couldn't have been more professional. Immediately identified the issue, took the time to show me what was wrong, gave the options and was able to get a replacement part delivered and installed within 24 hours. Not only did he fix that, but he also adjusted the top rack on the dishwasher which had been irritatingly sliding out.

    Couldn't recommend them more. I've got the number on speed dial (but hope not to need it)!

Vadym called back within an hour, diagnosed the issue by phone, and arrived at our house shortly after. He texted when he was on his way and wore an N95 mask (and shoe covers). He showed us the problem inside the dryer and fixed it in less than an hour as he already had the replacement part with him! He checked that the rest of the machine and the venting system was in good shape. Vadym was the ultimate professional, very reasonably priced, super knowledgable, and a pleasure to meet.

His diagnosis and repair was fairly quick as he had all the appropriate tools and general parts needed in his work van. He also gave me pointers on what inlet water valve to use to save on repair cost in the future. Great workmanship and friendly guy.

I called the company this morning for a replacement AC condensate pump that caused a leak. Owner said they were able to come out on the same day and not only that, but they arrived on time. Their work was thorough and the owner was able to explain to me some issues that I may encounter in the future with my AC unit. And before leaving, they made sure they cleaned up everything. I am so glad to have called I & C Mechanical for help, I am very pleased with the service. Thank you so much!

Tony showed up and fixed my refrigerator in short order. It works great after the repair. I highly recommend Boston & Cambridge Appliance Repair, Inc. I had never used BCAR and contacted them on a late Friday afternoon desperate whim and lucked out. Tara and Tony were professional and they have week-end appointments ! You should use this company!

I recently worked with them for a dryer maintenance and the work was done fast and efficient. I will continue to use there services for my appliances maintenance.

Jay, the service technician, was nice and respectful, never spoke down to me and really explained the ins and outs of refrigerators. You can tell that he is passionate and educated in the space. I did need them to come back once or twice to check on things, but they were always prompt in sending someone out the next day. Will definitely call then for other appliance needs in the future!
  • Jacob Hooker rated it 1/5: Our Samsung dryer belt gave out. We hired Boston & Cambridge Appliance repair to come out and replace it. They told us on the phone that the service call would be $89 and that the labor would be $80. Parts would be added to this. They gave an invoice for $99 + $90 for these two fees and also charged $135 for a belt and idler pulley which costs about $30 online – maybe $50 at their supplier at most. I realize that they need to mark up parts, but this was ridiculous. The entire repair took less than 30 min and we were left with a $333 bill for a dryer that brand new is like $500. I called and complained about the price and they said they would credit back some of the charge and that the parts should have been $85 (still a big mark up I'm sure). I was told that technicians have "discretion" for how much they mark up parts and evidently on the service fee and labor too. I feel taken advantage of and I suspect that many others have been. I do not mind paying a company for good work, but lets do it with an honest fee structure. I will not use these guys again.

    Update: The owner ended up waving the part fee, which I appreciate. I hope that transparency in the process increases.
