Barbie Welch rated it 5/5: The technician who came to my house was exceptionally intelligent and articulate, and able to explain exactly what he found. He was courteous and considerate. • D Hill rated it 5/5: Great experience. Communication through the process was prompt and helpful. I have an uncommon, discontinued, old gas range. Needed fixing after a gas explosion due to an old igniter. Found the parts, and Mr Appliance was great in scheduling the initial inspection, and the follow up parts replacement once they arrived. Very highly recommended for appliance repair. They'll be the first I reach out to for any appliance repairs I need going forward.
  • Bin He rated it 5/5: Aaron quickly found the problem of both my built in refrigerator and ice maker. He gave honest opinion to help me decide what is the best option based on the lift time of the appliances. Parts arrived quickly. Repair went smoothly. Thank you! Company scheduling system works very well. They updated you on when the technician will come in addition to the time window they gave. Would recommend friends to use this company for any future repair work.
  • Pete Todora rated it 5/5: Technician did an excellent job of replacing an heat pump which I furnished to avoid a diagnostic charge and extra trip for ordering a part. Technician attempted to charge an extra amount to install the heat pump because he said it was a difficult install. I stated that the install was included in the hourly charge and he agreed and gladly readjusted he invoice to the proper charge. I believe the charge was in error.
Would I use the company again? I would say yes! Just watch how you are charged. Very good company to work with as they service all types of appliances.

  • DS rated it 5/5: I called Bill and he was spot on with knowledge about the HVAC unit. I decided to replace mine. Bill had his crew on the job in a timely manner. They worked hard all day putting in the new system. They cleaned up the job site, checked my unit, and asked if we were happy with the install. Bill came back by to recheck to make sure we were all happy with our new unit. If you want an honest person and professional installers, I highly recommend them.

  • Gayane Tovell rated it 5/5: Bill was great! Proactively reached out, as requested in May, to check that our AC cooling and heating units all working as they should.

We had a brand new unit installed in May 2022. Bill and his team were able to provide an estimate and install the unit within one week.

Always prompt and responds to texts very quickly.

  • Clay Olsen rated it 5/5: Bill, who took my call and managed the whole process, was very kind and professional (I called on a Saturday and he had some come out that same day; and then had a replacement crew out with equipment the next day, a Sunday).

Chris, who came out to inspect the equipment, helped me understand my options and what to expect with each. AACE should be happy to have him on their team.

Louis, who removed and installed an HVAC unit, did an amazing job. I was blown away by the care he took to keep my home clean, and he and his partner worked very hard to get the job done right.

  • Adrienne Palmer rated it 5/5: The team at Appliance & Air Care Experts were so helpful and knowledgeable. They talked through possible simple solutions over the phone to help us solve the problem ourselves if we could. Then, once those simple fixes were ruled out, they were at our home the next day to diagnose and give us sound advice on options to fix in the most cost effective way. We appreciate their integrity and professionalism.

Having high end appliances (Wolf, Subzero, Scotsman…). We expect/need the best of care … C&W and Austin have always delivered.

I recently moved into a new house and my Subzero freezer did not work from day one (did not come from C&W). My builder contacted them on my behalf and they reached out immediately. Their communication was excellent both before and on the day of service. The technician Randy was outstanding and had my freezer up and running quickly. He took the time to explain to me the various settings on my refrigerator and freezer and how to best maintain it. He was also very neat and completely cleaned where he had repaired. I highly recommend C&W!

  • Tisa Salazar rated it 5/5: Randy called in the morning as expected and set a time to arrive. He called again 10 minutes prior to arrival to confirm I was home. He was polite, professional and very knowledgeable. He was helpful as I peppered him with tons of questions. He came prepared to repair two appliances and diagnosed a third while there. He was thoughtful to have the needed part delivered and stayed to repair the third appliance. He provided helpful tips to keep my 17 year old appliances working for a long time. I will use C&W and Randy if the need arises.
  • Chelsea Wilderotter rated it 5/5: We called C&W when our home warranty could not repair our fridge/freezer (wouldn’t cool). The C&W team was outstanding from the first phone call to schedule a repair appointment to fixing the issues and getting our fridge/freezer back up and running! Our service technician Ed was so professional and knowledgeable. He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and had parts on hand to make the repair same day!!! Ed even followed up the next day to make sure everything was running efficiently and to see if we had any other questions. I wish I would have called C&W from the beginning, they’re years of experience working on sub zero appliances is top notch! Thanks Ed for all you did!!!
  • NANCY COOPER rated it 5/5: I recently had the pleasure of working with Ed and I cannot speak highly enough of the service he provided. From the moment he arrived, he was friendly, professional, and efficient. Overall, my experience with Ed was excellent. He provided top-notch service and went above and beyond to ensure that everything was working properly before he left. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of an appliance repair or maintenance. Thank you, Ed, for your outstanding service!

Most relevant reviews:

  • E Thomas rated it 5/5: I have had 2 very good experiences with Lone Star. First, I like that a person (rather than an answering machine) answers the phone and pleasantly gathers information about your problem. I’ve used their service twice and highly recommend them. Each time, they responded quickly and conducted business in a friendly and professional manner. Manny was the technician on both repair calls and we found him to be very knowledgeable, helpful and an efficient repairman. He knows appliances well and first identifies the problem, then explains the repairs needed and the options. Once he begins working he stays on task and resolves the problem as quickly as possible.
I feel confident about this company and service and will use Lone Star again when need arises.

  • Lee Cluett rated it 5/5: Quick appointment. Excellent service. Joseph replaced worn out parts of my Maytag Dryer. Now it's running like a charm. I have used this company exclusively for several years for washer, deyer, and refrigerator. They have proven to be very dependable I highly recommend.
  • Justin Hardin rated it 1/5: Terrible company! Used this company when my refrigerator went out. Paid $1285.00, guy said it was the compressor. He said he replaced compressor, for weeks water was leaking inside the fridge after he said he replaced compressor the ice maker never work.It cooled for 2 months he came back out and basically said he don’t know what’s wrong with it would contact LG never heard back from him. My food went bad 3 times. This was a 2018 LG brand refrigerator. I ended up just buying a new fridge and got ripped off the $1285 for a compressor when that wasn’t even the problem. He created more problems with the fridge. It leaked water on the inside, didn’t freeze or cool, ice maker stopped working. Big waste of money.
  • Courtney Smith rated it 1/5: They will definitely over charge you IMO. The same parts and services they offer are nearly double or not needed by other appliance repair shops. The young lady was real nice but had to call someone to figure out what to do. We were going to get a double service charge for each appliance. That’s like being charged labor for each thing done on your car at the same service. I would not recommend this business. OVERPRICED that’s not right to do to people willing to pay.

Lisa Bell rated it 5/5: Communicative, timely & professional service for our washer & dryer. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Armia was great. Another tech had come out a few months ago for refrigerator & dishwasher check/repair. He did a fantastic job – professional, trustworthy & knowledgeable – so we called again for the washer & dryer this time.

  • Susan K rated it 5/5: About a year ago, my refrigerator stopped staying cool. On a recommendation, I called ASAP Appliance. Mike was able to troubleshoot efficiently. He informed me that I should call the manufacturer since the refrigerator was still under warranty. He saved me a ton, and I truly appreciated his honesty. Fast forward to today, my washer started leaking. I called ASAP Appliance again. Mike showed up promptly and was able to quickly help fix the issue. He also gave me some great practical advice on how to troubleshoot myself. He is a professional and trustworthy. Highly recommend!
  • C. M. rated it 5/5: They live up to their name–super fast & responsive service! I called to get an estimate to repair my broken washing machine and Armia arrived within 20 minutes. Sadly he gave me the bad news that my washing machine transmission was done and that the cost to repair it was so high, it wouldn't make sense to try. I really appreciated his honesty and how quickly he was able to come over and take a look. The cost of the estimate was reasonable, too. I would 100% recommend and I will definitely call them again in the future (but hopefully I won't need to!).
  • Juliet Jones-Moss rated it 5/5: First time user of ASAP, I’m lucky I called them. Mike showed up on time, up- front about the service charge. I was already aware. Mike let me know the refrigerator was not worth fixing, and checked the other one that was good. I would recommend ASAP and would use again.
  • Luke rated it 5/5: I’d leave 6 stars if I could. My washing machine is fixed!!! Sam (my technician) from ASAP was an efficient EXPERT who diagnosed the issue within 15 minutes. He then ordered the required part, brought it a few days later, and installed it when he came back in under 15 minutes. I’d recommend this company to any one looking for fast, friendly, and amazing service.

    Thank you ASAP!!!

Arif Malik rated it 1/5: I don't recommend Pegasus Appliance Repair. If you have a Samsung appliance that needs repair, tell Samsung that you insist on another company (I recommend Sears instead). I contacted Samsung about non-working freezer in my 3-year old refrigerator/freezer (model RF23HCEDBSR/AA, 5-year warranty on the sealed system). Samsung assigned service ticket to Pegasus. Fred from Pegasus came out to house. Without pulling the refrigerator away from the wall, he took a picture at about at 10-degree angle in the 7-inch space between the back of the unit and the wall. He immediately claimed the refrigerator coils were clogged by dust, said that I should clean them to fix the problem. He told me to let him in couple of days how the unit is working. I paid $99.95 for the visit. I subsequently pulled the unit away from the wall and saw that the vent grill over the coils had only minor dust (see picture). When I removed the grill, I noted very little dust on the coils, but did see the very corroded joint between the copper and steel on the high pressure side of the compressor. It also shows evidence of refrigerant leakage. I sent the images to Fred and he responded "not a problem in of itself". The refrigerator was not remedied by cleaning the small amount of dust. I contacted Stefanie (office manager) at Pegasus to ask for a receipt for the visit (since I wasn't given one), and upon receiving the receipt I was shocked to see the receipt list the Samsung service request as "Resolved." I emailed Stephanie back to ask the the owner of Pegasus contact me to get the issue (and my refrigerator) taken care of. I never heard back from Pegasus until Samsung created a second service request with them. However, after hours on the phone with Samsung supervisors, they allowed me to work with Sears. A guy from Sears came out; he found a leak in the sealed system, he then replaced the corroded part shown in the picture, recharged the refrigerant, and fixed the problem (under warranty!). The only issue I have now is to get the $99.95 back from Samsung that I paid to Pegasus for inferior service and inadequate follow-up.

  • Mona Z Caldwell rated it 5/5: We have had Pegasus Appliance Repair for service on our Speed Queen Washer and Dryer 4 different times. Our technician was Fred Diamond. He was punctual, arrived masked and put on shoe protectors as he came in the house. He was friendly and went to work immediately. He identified one of the issues and had to order parts but fixed the other problems right away. He made sure he understood the problems and assured us he would be able to fix to our satisfaction. In this world of No Customer Service, No Service Department, it is a pleasure doing business with Pegasus Appliance and Fred Diamond. As he was leaving I told him how great we think he is and he said he likes helping people. I highly recommend them. And I’d like to add that the woman who takes the calls is terrific too.

  • Chris Finley rated it 1/5: Summary – ZERO stars from me!

I contacted the Asurion Appliance Repair office in early September to schedule an appointment for an oven repair. Asurion came to my property on 9/7. Technician #1 said I needed two parts and gave me two pricing options. One included the AsurionAppliance+ insurance, while the other one did not. Given the $200 price difference, and the fact that he said I could cancel the insurance at any time, I signed up for the insurance and paid the fee for the upfront price of visit to be applied to the repair. He ordered the parts and scheduled my repair appointment for 9/13.

On 9/12, the day before my appointment, I received an automated text message stating my appointment had been rescheduled. The new date was now 3 weeks out, and they picked some random day without consulting with me. I called the first tech and left a voicemail, but he never returned my phone call. Next, I contacted the company for more information, and Asurion stated one of the parts was backordered and hadn’t come in yet. I was surprised that they waited until the day before my appointment to notify me, despite seeing the part was backordered by about three weeks. It was an inconvenient, since I needed to have someone else meet the technician.

October 18, a new tech, came to repair oven. Tech #2 diagnosed the oven and said the two ordered parts were incorrect, and that the control board was the issue. Given the backordered part delay, this was quite frustrating. He ordered the right part, and scheduled my next appointment for Oct 25, once the part would be in.

A third tech and her supervisor came on Oct. 25. I had someone meet them there. Tech #3 was onsite for less than 5 minutes and left. I called her back, but she didn’t answer, so I called/texted Asurion. She had come to house without the part, and also left the oven unplugged (oven display didn’t work, but the stove top did). Asurion scheduled a 4th appointment. One person said the part that was originally ordered by tech #2 had been canceled. The rep on the text message said tech #3 couldn’t find the part in the warehouse that morning. None of this was proactively communicated to me.

Poor customer service, annoying phone tree flow and long hold times, lack of communication within their internal teams, extreme lack of transparency, lies and overall incompetence to fix an oven after 7 weeks and 3 visits led me to cancel their 4th visit and request a refund for all charges to date (3) on Thursday, October 27.

Next, I ordered the control board from an online retailer, received the new item in 2-3 business days, and installed the control board myself in about 30 minutes after watching a short YouTube video. The control board was ~$150 shipped so I saved a considerable amount of money by installing myself, which is great since I’ve wasted way too many hours dealing with Asurion.

In regard to the refund, I was refunded for the initial payment by Asurion and was asked to contact Asurion+ about the other monthly insurance charges. During a conversation on Oct. 27, Asurion+ told me they would cancel the recurring charges (which they did), and refund both previous charges in full per my request. The next day, I saw that one of the two monthly charges were refunded in full, while the other was only partially refunded. I called them again around on November 4 about the shortage. The rep checked with his supervisor who approved refund and said the rest would be refunded within 10 days. After 10 days, there was no refund, so I called again on Nov. 18. The person asked his supervisor about it and they said the refund was rejected but couldn’t provide a reason why. The supervisor needed to discuss with billing which would take a couple days, then billing would reach out to me. I asked him to email this summary to me, and he said he doesn’t have email capability. He said the supervisor could email me though and it would be sent the same day. I did not receive any correspondence. I filed a complaint with BBB over a month ago but have not seen a response from their headquarters.

  • kyle bussey rated it 1/5: Company came out after rescheduling once, diagnosed my 1 year old fridge and said a fan went bad, said they would come back the following week and jnstall a new one, it would cost me around 300. They rescheduled that repair appointment to the day before christmas eve, they showed up late, the tech left and said it should cool off in a couple of hours, here we are the day before New Year’s Eve and no one has came back out and still don’t have a working refrigerator… terrible business, they keep passing us from person to person on the phone….wouldn’t give them a dime…

I described my freeze-related issue and gave them the model number of my washer. Within an hour they called back with an estimate. By 1:30 they had come and fixed my washer after calling to say they were on the way. The Otises have been in business 30 years in the same location. They sell new and used appliances and repair appliances as well. They are polite, friendly, prompt and clean. The price was reasonable, especially considering how fast they solved my problem. They even smell great! I wish they were my neighbors!
