After seeing the problem andprevious3 men he called the supervisor, his boss and the boss basically called me a liar and denied the claim because there was no proof who did it. I will NEVER use A & E (Sears again) This guy is ruining the reputation and name of the company. The Supervisor has no knowledge of the meaning CUSTOMER SERVICE. EACH TIME THEY SENT AN UNIFORMED REPAIRMEN THEY CHARGE ME AND THE WARRENTY PROGRAM WHICH i TERMINATED IS A MONEY GRAB and repairs are not done properly. The supervisor(boss) should be removed from his responsibility.

Checked again at 2. Same answer. Checked again at 330 and was told my technician had gone home for a personal issue and wouldn’t be able to do my dishwasher repair that day.

    When my repair was rescheduled, they couldn’t reschedule for 3 days. No effort was made by Sears Home Services to speed up my timeline after their tech cancelled my original appointment day. I understand things happen in life but the least they could do is try to get someone to me the next day to handle my dishwasher repair. But no, 3 day wait from the day of the original appointment.

    It’s a shame too. I’ve had good experiences in the past, but 3 of my last 4 have been really poor, including one refrigerator repairman who did the bare minimum and said “I think your problem is XYZ” but never fully checked to see why anything wasn’t working properly. I wish other companies would service Kenmore products but every other appliance repair guy I call says, “Oh, it’s a Kenmore? Call Home Services.”

    Also note, this specific location may not be the offender, but there is no way to book appointments locally. Going through the website or even phone calls, you get some customer service rep somewhere that has no local knowledge of what’s happening locally. So I’m leaving my review here as a general warning of Sears Home Services.

Saved us several thousands dollars because we don't need another fridge. 17 years old and still going.. I might call on American Applicance & Repair again in the future for different appliance.

Both my stove & washer stopped working at the same time. so I called and made an appointment to have someone come out to service them in hopes of me being able to get them fixed because I wasn't sure what was going on, I wasn't for sure if they could even be fixed at all. I couldn't think about nothing besides if I was gonna have to get another stove & washer. But God! Won't He do it!!! He had that ram in the bush for me when He sent this nice, humble and very respectable young man by the name of Matt from Detroit Appliance to service my stove & washer.
    Matt not only showed up but, he showed up ON TIME!!! He took his time and explained to me what the problem was with my stove which was the "igniter" he said that he had a brand new one out in his car, he went and got it and fixed my stove for me! As for my washer, it was almost 20 years old and the parts for it was discontinued so I'll be getting a new one. Praise God 🙌🏾 so, Shout out to you Matt. Thank you so much for everything, great job!!!

(With Thanksgiving in the offing, I was really worried about having the oven working as soon as possible.) Service was very prompt; they called ahead before each trip to my house and were very helpful & seemed to genuinely care about my concerns.
    The tech , Tim Martin and his assistant, were courteous, thorough,
    & professional. On their first visit, they diagnosed the most likely issue and ordered the part needed. They returned today to install.
    Unfortunately, that wasn't it. Tim immediately tried to track down a part which had to be the problem. Then they drove all the way to Centerline from Shelby Township to pick up the part and came back and installed it. Oven works!! From my initial contact to work completed was 8 business days. I would highly recommend this company for appliance repairs.

    and we organized a carpool to the office.

    That’s fine, I have better opportunities. But please stop wasting peoples time, especially if you had a mutual agreement.

They came out looked at my refrigerator, ordered the part and took $60 deposit from me. This was in August we are now end of November and he has still yet to show up!! He called me in September said the part was in and I needs to make an appointment for him to come complete the repair, I have been calling , I leave messages no reply . He texted me on 10/13 stating that he lost the part he ordered I asked to please reorder it or return my deposit. I have not heard from him since. I did end up calling a different repair man who came out and fixed it same day !!

One week later and the same story again the dryer is on a truck being delivered! That was 3 days ago and still no dryer. I will be suing Moes and buying a dryer elsewhere! Worst company I’ve ever had to deal with! Unprofessional, Untrustworthy, Recycling Junk Appliances!

    Updated: After Review was posted company called then showed up in less than 2 hours later and exchanged the dryer.

    Further Updated: Dryer company replaced with is just as broken as the last one. Total Disappointment! NEVER USE MOES!!!!

Well it’s 1:10pm Monday and they never showed up. I called to ask what happened they said they canceled my appointment because they aren’t servicing my area. I asked them why they didn’t call to let me know, and her answer was we don’t have to.

    I've set up 2 appointments for a home right down the street (less than a 5 minute drive) and both were cancelled saying they "didn't have any techs in the area."

    They will happily take your credit card info to "hold the appointment" and say they won't charge you until the job is completed BUT they will, in fact, charge your card and then void it out once they cancel the appointment.

    Call someone else.

  • MEYERS REAL Property Management, LLC rated it 1/5: I scheduled an appointment on Sunday and I told them the brand of my stove and was told to give them my credit card number In order to hold A none-refundable $59.99 and that money would go towards any repair cost.They said that they would send someone out to my house the next day between 1-4pm. The next day at 11:30am they call me to say that they do not have a technician to fix my brand of appliance and that the $59.99 That was chArged to my credit card will be refunded in 3-5 days!!!! A waste of my time and not to mention that I took the day off work for this!!!

He proceeds to ask me my zip code, 48228 which is in Detroit. He immediately said I'm sorry but we don't have any technicians in the area. I said I only live 5 mins away, he again apologized and said we don't have any technicians in the area and hung up on me…
    My thing is if you DON'T WANT TO DO BUSINESS IN DETROIT, then say it in your advertisement. I do not know what their previous experiences were in Detroit but I am here to tell you that everyone who lives in Detroit should NOT be colored with the same brush!!!

They had to order a mother board.
Took over a week to come back even though they said the part will come in 2 days.
They came to install the part and said the part was defective and that they would have to order another. I haven't heard from them in almost 2 weeks after that and I had already paid $465. I had to dispute my refund via PayPal. Once I started the dispute they called me (after I kept trying to resolve it with them but couldn't get a hold of the manager)and said they were gonna come out that day….it was already past their business hours. I'm just glad I paid via PayPal or they would have kept stringing me along.

The technician said there was a leak in the cooling system, collected my money but never sent the diagnosis to my home warranty company in order to get the authorization for repair even after 5 days. I tried calling the company and only get the answering machine. Highly irresponsible management and repair service.

I am really sorry guys if this looks bad on you but a technician from Bright Home Pros was send to my house to fix my broken dishwasher through Priority Home Warranty (Which is another bigger scam). The technician ran the diagnostics and told the Home warranty that the Dishwasher had a pre-existing condition. Which it did not. I explained the whole thing to the Technician and Priority Home Warranty that every thing was working fine until that week. Nothing was wrong with the Dishwasher and I'm very upset that a false report was sent to the Priority company, who ended up declining my claim. After almost a month of going back and forth, more than 30 calls to Priority Home Warranty and a few to Bright Home Pros. I've decided to cancel my home warranty but would like to leave my experience here for the other people to stay away from Home warranty companies, who are running scams with the Repair services.

    Bright Home Pros, I'd request you guys to please help the people whom you are offering your services and please don't be a part of the scam run by the Home Warranty Services. I will be reporting Priority Home Warranty to the Michigan Attorney General's consumer Protection division to take a deeper look into the complaint.

    Choice Home warranty sent Bright Home Pros out to diagnose our air conditioner. The tech said our unit was old and needed to be replaced. He then proceeded to tell me that the warranty company was bad about replacing and that they take forever to authorize/decline claims. Well I guess they would take forever if they never recieve the diagnosis! It's been 16 days now a day still no diagnosis reported. The warranty company hasn't been able to reach them after several attempts.
    I sure wish I had read their reviews before giving them a dime!
    BEWARE OF THIS SHADY COMPANY!
  • Andrew Rodzianko rated it 1/5: When I first scheduled the appointment, I was told on the phone that the non-refundable $95 service call fee would count towards the cost of the repair. This is not, however, how it was understood by the technician that came to my home. At his first visit to diagnose the problem with my dryer, he asked me to pay $245, which he said was for the $95 service call plus $150 deposit to order the small part (which I later found out costs only about $35). I then received an invoice from him for $245 which stated that I had only paid $150 when in fact I had paid him $245. He explained that the $95 service call fee was separate. It didn't make sense and I didn't agree with it but I let it go, which was a mistake.

    I expected to receive a call back from them the next day to schedule the repair, but I did not. Having paid $245 with nothing yet to show for it, I started feeling nervous. I sent a message asking for an update and said I felt like I was being scammed. The manager then responded the second day after the initial visit with messages in all caps and multiple phone calls, seeming a bit paranoid. He did reassure me that the part was ordered but not in yet. He also asked me why I felt I was being scammed. After hearing me out and reassuring me, he then asked "do you still feel like you're being scammed?" That is not the kind of question you expect to hear from a customer service oriented company. Not feeling like I'm being scammed is a low bar for customer satisfaction!

    The second service visit to complete the repair occurred one week after the first visit. This is 9 days after my initial call in to them, which is a long time to go without a dryer and too slow for an appliance repair service company, if you ask me. After working for about 45 minutes to install the new part, the technician came to me and said the dryer still doesn't work. He also quoted me $50 to clean the inside of the dryer and another $250 or so to replace the electrical board. I decided to cut my losses as these additional costs would have put me over $500 total and at this point my confidence level was low that the dryer would even be repaired. The technician then asked for the $95 remaining balance from the initial invoice, which I declined to pay because I had already paid $245 as previously stated and still had a broken dryer. To this, he replied that he would have to remove the part he had installed. I then asked for a refund of the $245 and was emphatically turned down. So, Bright Home Pros took $245 of my money and I have absolutely nothing to show for it except the knowledge that they are a company to stay far away from.

    The only thing about this company that is professional is their nice looking website. At the end when I expressed my frustration with them and told them I would give a negative review, they simply said "that's ok, we'll just delete it." WOW! This outfit does NOT put customers first. Stay away!

    As it turns out, the next day I found a used (like new) dryer for $400 on facebook marketplace and it works great!
