The refrigerator quit working so I notified my Lowe's account people who were pretty quick to schedule this company to come out. After waiting 3 days for the company to call me they called and scheduled for 6 days out. The technician showed up verified what I told him that the compressor wasn't working. And he scheduled me again for today which was 10 days out from the original appointment because they were waiting on parts. Today they were scheduled to be here between the hours of 12:00 and 3:00 .12:00 rolled around we had a no call no show so we contacted the company who then said no we're not coming today we're waiting on a part and it won't be here for 15 more days. Mind you this is a fridge we are talking about which holds a households food at a proper temperature. After more than a couple weeks they've still not worked on it. And now here I am waiting another two weeks before they maybe show up maybe call to tell me they're still waiting on a part. Not how business is done not in America at least. Very very hard to reach a manager Steven to express my concerns. Milan the secretary was not helpful either. She assured me that the paper I signed saying the man was here the first time and that he was coming back the second time on this day didn't exist however I have an email receipt for proof. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Even though they are paid through my insurance they still do not want to work or do the work assigned to them the work that they're paid to do

When filing a claim, Lowes let me pick a time and date, so I took off work for that appointment. Appliance Service Plus called me the next day and said they were unavailable during my scheduled appointment and changed it, and were unable to give me a time window until the day before. So, I changed my work schedule again to accommodate them. The next appointment was made to install the needed parts on my washer, so I took off work for that appointment. The time window of my appointment window came and went and no one showed. I was notified an hour AFTER my appointment that the service guy didn't check to make sure he had the necessary parts for the day until it was time for my appointment and he no longer had my parts, so they needed to come a different day and time. So because the company was unprepared, I had to miss work again for no reason. I had to take off 4 times from work for 2 short appointments, and there was absolutely NO apology or consideration, and were quite rude and acted like I was the inconvenience.

However, this cannot happen without the receipt for the water heater. I cannot locate the receipt. I have sent a letter and my son has phoned to see what options that we have if I cannot locate the receipt (purchased in 2014, or l5).
    We have not heard from anyone. No call backs and no answer to my email.
  • Janessa Scott rated it 1/5: We keep getting an error code on the dryer and have gone through the troubleshooting guide. A service tech has been to our house 5 times now, and we have done everything they told us to, and they have replaced the motor, but it's still happening, and worse now.

    They were helpful in the beginning, but now is starting to go downhill. First they show up and wait 2 minutes before leaving, and he didn't even attempt to call me (my kids were being loud and I couldn't get to the door fast enough). Then the next time, a different tech didn't make it at all, but he did call me to let me know. Then the 3rd time he doesn't show up and doesn't call, so we leave for a trip. He ends up showing up 1.5 hours past the wait window, but since we weren't home, he says we declined the service and cancelled the request.

    I just want a working dryer!!!! We don't have time to keep waiting at home for service techs to not show up. We both work full time. This is getting ridiculous! And it's wasting energy because we have to run the dryer multiple times for each load before it will actually heat up and dry out clothes. We have 2 toddlers, for Christs sake, we don't have time for this!!

They have no active listening skills and they have obviously never had to pay for repair on an appliance. I had called sears for my ice maker and schedule the preventative maintenance on other appliances in my kitchen. They put in a new ice maker and in the process broke my water filter. I have yet to have this fixed and when I called they gave me this appointment that is very far out. HORRIBLE and none of the customer service representative listened and never did one show any empathy. Do not spend your hard earned money here it is an absolute waste go with a local company that is actually responsive.

Aram answered right away and happened to be finishing another call nearby so came over within 20 min. He was able to diagnose the problem right away and has since returned twice to order the correct parts and to fix the problem so that it now looks and works like a brand new fridge (see photo). Aram also volunteered to check on our ancient Kenmore refrigerator/workhorse in the garage to ensure it continued to work properly; in doing so, he vacuumed and cleaned the coils (and gave me advice about keeping our Maytag washer in good working condition, to boot!).

    I cannot say enough positive things about his professionalism, responsiveness, excellent communication, and quality service. I would not hesitate to contact him again for any other issues involving major appliances and will happily recommend him to my local family and friends. It was a difficult fix, as there was no indication of a problem with the dishwasher after spending lots of time removing dishwasher and inspecting possible problems. After continued problems with this Samsung, Angel and his company returned to work on it again free of charge. After taking it apart, inspecting, and doing what he thought needed to be done, the dishwasher is now working properly. Angel and Zip Appliance deserves a big thank you for their efforts.

From the time I called to and time I had a technician at my house to check out my dishwasher was a time interval of an hour and a half. Very impressed by that prompt service. He spent about one hour here and came up with a diagnosis to replace the circulator pump. That service visit was excellent. I did receive the quote within a couple hours and the pump cost about 200 but the actual labor was going to be charged as $290. I did some reading online and that labor cost was much higher than competitors and the pump also seemed relatively easy to install. As background, I have done random house fixing up and have replaced a water valve on a dishwasher before but I have never installed or put a dishwasher on its back for further service. By comparing the new pump which I bought for slightly less than theirs and comparing it to the old pump, I was able to replace it without issue within about the time it took me to cook a lasagna. That is the reason they lost stars.

    I have been earlier reached out to about if I wanted to proceed after I had received the quote and I stated that I felt uncomfortable with the high labor cost. There was no response to that message but instead the quote was canceled. Not quite a good feeling but not a big deal there. It seems like others had the offer that the diagnosis cost would go towards the service fee which I was not offered. I feel like I would've paid about $150 for labor plus the $200 for the pump but I had a hard time paying to what amounted to $290 per hour. They offered me a 90 day warranty with their pump, and the pump I bought a two-year warranty.

    I would probably use them again but I am cautious about quotes for the actual repairs being offered.

The first tech that came out got on the roof but was on the phone the entire time asking questions about the unit. He came down and said the senior tech had to come out and check it out because he didn't know what was wrong. The Senior tech comes out a few days later, but does not let us know when he arrives and climbed on to my neighbors roof. He said that the fuses were out, changed them, but then came down and said that wasn't the problem. The tech came back a third time and said they needed to replace the control board, which they did, but once again didn't let us know if they were done or when they were arriving at the house. Once the board was replaced the tech called and said that another part had to be replaced and that they had to contact the home warranty company in order to get it approved. We never heard back from the company again and tried to call them multiple times with no response. The A/C went out again with the same issue a month later, and we had to have another company come out and fix the problem. I would not recommend this company for A/C repair again.

After a month I contacted Sears and asked what the hold up was. They said parts were ordered but had no update on when they might arrive. I found parts online and ordered parts. Once the parts arrived I made an appointment for the technician to come back out and install them. They sent a different technician which diagnosed the oven again. Turns out the parts ordered was not the issue. The issue was a small thermostat that was carried on the truck. The original technician misdiagnosed the oven. So I had no oven for six weeks because the technician didn’t know what he was doing. The technician that fixed it said all of them carry the thermostat on their truck. So if he properly diagnosed it I would’ve had an oven working six weeks ago. I told the technician fixed it correctly to have his supervisor call me. That never happened

Also, he fixed one thing and left another part undone. The light that used to work before he got there, doesn't anymore. It's not a huge thing, but it should be working if it was before!! Any dryer repair should check the venting hose going out to make sure it isn't blowing back into the house! Hopefully, they'll come back and repair it. I called the repairman and he didn't return my call to come back and fix his mistake. He did return for the tool he left here though, so I know he got my message! Not real happy and I paid a lot of money for the repair!

  • Captain Maberu rated it 1/5: I was assigned a Sears repairman through my home warranty because my dishwasher would not drain. I was excited because I thought Sears had a good reputation. However, it took over a month for the repair to get “completed” and 5 repairmen coming in and out of my home. 15 or more parts were ordered with a couple on back order which added extra time. Eventually all of the original parts were replaced and it still didn’t drain. I finally told the fourth repairman, “make sure you check the drain tube” and he noticed that the drain assembly would have to be replaced. The fifth guy replaced it after the parts came in and voilà— it drained again. Unfortunately, it now seems to be leaking from somewhere else and has leaked into the linoleum in a 10 foot radius around the dishwasher. The home warranty does not cover the damage so now I have to go through my insurance… that’s a whole new mess thanks to Sears. Do NOT use their service! Would NOT recommend! I wish I could give them zero stars!

LG was having a hard time finding a technician in my area and asked if I could make some calls and send them some possible companies they could work with. When I called Sears I explained that I wasn't making an appointment because I was working with a warranty but wanted to know if they did closed system repairs. The lady started asking me for my personal information and I again reminded her that my warranty company had to make the appointment. She got upset at that point and told me I was wasting her time and told me to never call back.
