AND he informed me that the only service they perform is a check on function, they do not perform any "cleaning" as part of their "Clean & Maintain" service. He also pointed out that he was a kitchen appliance technician, not a laundry repairman. The photos are the condition AFTER the "Clean & Maintain" technician had completed the service.

This is completely and utterly a waste of time and $150. I have demanded escalation, but of course the phone service has all been offshored and I couldn't actually talk to anyone locally that could provide any customer satisfaction. They promised to call… It's been a week, and nothing.

Sears… how far you have fallen. I won't make this mistake again, I suggest you don't either.

Appointment has been rescheduled twice. The phone number I was given is totally a recording. I cannot contact a human. BEYOND FRUSTRATED!!!! Giving a one star rating at this point is being generous

At that time we entered into a contract and made a substantial payment for him to return near the end of August to complete the repair. Since his first visit in July, we have heard nothing further from him or from Sears Appliance Repair. We are very frustrated to be without a cook top for more than three months with not communication whatever from Sears regarding the delay in the repair.
mike lynch rated it 1/5: Horrible, do not recommend!!! Came out to "fix" our fridge and told us it would be $500 total. They complete the "repair" and afterwards we are left with an error message and told it would cost us another $400 to also replace the fan which was never told to be an issue when it was first diagnosed or with the follow up repair. We would have bought a new fridge for close to the same price and would have not chosen to have it repaired in the first place if they had correctly diagnosed it and billed it to begin with. Now they're fighting with us and refusing to finish the job without more money or offering a refund for the initial service that was not completed. They also don't give you a number to talk to anyone in customer service about it, just send emails back and forth and refuse to offer the full refund we deserve. Horrible customer service, look elsewhere.
Update to my review: they sent it to the BBB and agreed to pay us $272. Doesn’t even cover half of what they charged us after being over charged initially and we still don’t have a working fridge. Ridiculous!

Igor, from HVAC arrived carrying the part in hand and was completed by 11AM. All I needed to do was to turn the electric breaker off and then on for him to save some time! He has excellent diagnostic abilities and was so thorough in leaving no trace of a repair being done!
The dishwasher has been used about 3 times daily since then – and is just like new! What more can be said?
When you need a quick, expert response – CALL HVAC in LO! They are the ones to go to when you are in a stressful appliance situation and need HELP immediately!

I contacted AAR via their Facebook message. They responded right away and booked me the initial diagnostic appointment.

Elijah was the tech who showed up on the appointment day, on time. He was patient and able to figure out the problem of my Samsung cooktop.

He ordered the part, which was arrived early so he just quickly stopped by my house and installed it.

The issue went away!

I was totally impressed because prior Elijah, I had requested several repair requests from several repair companies, and none of them was able to fix the root cause, but Elijah was able to, in timely manner as well!

I will absolutely refer Elijah and AAR to all of my friends.

We had a gas range top that was installed by another contractor. We discovered that the gas connection was not done appropriately and it leaks. We panicked and immediately called Portland Installation. They were able to come the next day. The team came on time. They were professional and understood our problem. They took the rangetop down and re-installed it. Then we discovered that the prior contractor was just putting the unit on a wood plank that was not secured in place. Luckily Portland Installation was able to help put a bracket around and secure the position. While they were here, the team even helped check the dishwasher job the prior guy installed and also helped out with a small cosmetic issue with the dishwasher.

Eric Christiansen rated it 5/5: I got a new electric double oven to replace my existing one. The new one was slightly more tall and they said they could cut the cabinets to fit. Scheduled for after my oven was to be delivered.
On the day of the install they contacted me to say they were running late and asked if the new time slot was acceptable. I was ok with it and they let me know way in advance.

The two guys that came were super professional and nice. They knew exactly what to do and went right to work. They cut the cabinet and had the oven installed in a few minutes. Everyone looks and works perfectly. They also cleaned up everything and left me the accessories and instructions.

Total bill was $346 which is great for the service and work they did.

After calling 1/2 dozen repair shops who wouldn't work on LG or would see us in a month, we called Oregon Appliance Repair on Sat. Abdul came in 3 days and determined our compressor was bad. He advised us that LG warrantied their compressors for 10 years. We will be getting a new compressor for free. Abdul was prompt, even vacuumed the coils and was very professional. He is a valuable employee for Oregon Appliance Repair.

We discovered that none of our appliances functioned properly after we closed escrow. Abdul, a really polite young man, was the tech who came out. The technician came and spent 30 seconds looking at the fridge and telling me the compressor was bad, but that they couldn't replace compressors since he was the only technician and he wasn't licensed to do so. They then charged me $150 for this visit, which I intend to dispute since they shouldn't even have come out when they had no refrigerator repair technicians at all. I then had to find a different company and am still waiting to get my fridge repaired almost 2 weeks after it broke down. Apparently there are almost no companies in the Portland area who are able to do LG warranty repair work. The company LG told me to call isn't even in business.
I saw your response – your response is absolutely false. The technician (Abdul) and the person who answers the phone told me that you have NO technicians in the area who are licensed for warranty work on LG. You told me POINT BLANK that you could NOT do the repair. What you say in your reply is absolutely untrue. Why would I have to go elsewhere when your company told me they could NOT repair my fridge? The fact that you are lying about what your own staff actually told me is even more disturbing than the fact that you couldn't do the repair.

A technician (Abdul) came out to give an estimate for a faulty ice machine at a commercial location. $150 to tell me we needed a new filter, despite the filter being barely a few weeks old. We scheduled a service appointment that they never showed up to.

I must have called the office number over a dozen times and left over 4 voice mails before being called back by a representative weeks later, who apologized profusely and claimed the issue would be resolved. Yet, I never received another call back, further call backs and voice mails apparently ignored. A waste of my time and money, and my equipment is still broken. I will update my review if the issue is resolved.

They said they work with Wolf and could submit for warranty and charged $150 to come out and take 5 seconds to tell me my microwave was not working, but did not follow up with the warranty with Wolf and have ignored my calls. Contacted Wolf and this company IS NOT an authorized service provider!!!!!! Of course there has been no response in being credited my $150. Dishonest. I have called numerous times a day with absolutely no call back. I have left messages and emails for a refund of the money since they misrepresented themselves from my initial call. Two months and no resolution. Wolf warned me against companies like this misrepresenting themselves. Always call your appliance vendor first! As for the owner response- please call me! You have several voice messages from me requesting to talk to you!

To make sure the dryer was operating properly, he spent a lot of time disassembling it and tightening the loose parts. He put in a lot of effort to make sure I was pleased with the outcome. To anyone looking for assistance with appliance repair, I would highly suggest his professionalism and knowledge.

Max promptly identified the problem after taking a check at our washer. He didn't rush through; instead, he took the time to chat to us about our dryer and explain things beyond the work that had been done. He also gave us advice on how to make our dryer happier and avoid problems in the future.

They walked me through three common problems, so I went back home and discovered the problem was the door sensor, not the thermal fuse as I believed from my online research, an easy repair that cost me all of $24 in parts. I was so grateful for the willingness to take time walking me through what could be wrong, and encouraging me to try again. Definitely what I am looking for when patronizing local businesses!

Cost me $99 to be told nothing was wrong. So as the issues continued & new ones develop, I call the shop to tell the owner about my experience & the ongoing problems, including that I’m not working currently and so the expense already incurred w/o resolution is a problem. She is defensive, hostile, accusatory, not listening, getting the details wrong, and raising her voice, telling me I had 30 days to report any issues. When was I told that? So my expressing concern to the repair person directly at the time didn’t count? I wanted to support them because they’re a long time SJ biz. Now I regret it. Kind of surprised someone with this much history in the area has this attitude towards customer service.

He made room in his schedule for my repair, diagnosed the issue quickly, went and got the part, and had the washer and dryer running in no time. He also was courteous, straightforward on estimate and charges, considerate in wearing a mask knowing I work with vulnerable population, and very personable. He was very knowledgeable of the different kinds of machines, how to keep them running longer, and when to decide to replace. I haven't had this good of service in a long time. Too bad he doesn't fix cars, do roofing, or other things I will need in the future because he would be on speed-dial for every need!

He was very friendly and got to work- explained what he was doing (as I am the kind of person who is curious) – he determined what parts were needed to repair my fridge.
