My Home warranty company called Runyon Appliance to fix my oven. They were unable to do a service call until 4 days later. That seemed like a long wait. When David the repair man showed up 4 days later he had great customer service but needed to order a part. He said it would take 3 days to get the part. I was having a dinner party at my home on Sat and he said he would be back to install the part Friday morning. He showed up Friday morning but the part he ordered was broken. He said he would call around and try and get a new part by the afternoon. No call back that day and so I made plans to use a family members oven to prepare the meal. I received an email Tuesday morning from the company saying my new (unbroken) part was in and that I needed to call and make an appointment for installation. When I called Tuesday morning the woman taking the call wanted to schedule me for the following Monday to install the part. I told he that I had already been without an oven for almost 2 weeks and that I felt I should be put close to the top of the list due to the fact that the part they had Reyes to install the prior week was broken. She was not able to get me an appointment. I asked to speak to the manager on duty. They were not there for the day. She said she would have them call me and took my info. No one called me back. I reported this to my Home warranty company. They called and sent an email to Runyon but no body responded. I called again and asked to speak with the manager, and they were not there again. Very poor in office customer service. They do not know how to take care of business. I will never use or recommend this company to anyone. At this point I have been without an oven for 15 DAYS and I feed a family of 7 daily.

They were quick, on time, very respectful and took care of our issues right away. Our technician was a very nice gentleman named Allen. He seemed very knowledgeable and so very polite! Since then you have sent 5-10 representatives to “fix it.” Every agent says that Runyon won’t replace the unit so every time they come they need order “a new part” that never seems to fix the problem. The last representative, David, left the unit dismantled and pulled out of the bay before leaving my property without notice. After calling David he said that he was unable to put the parts back on the control panel so left the unit as is sitting therin our entry way. (Photo included)
On the phone David advised me to push the unit back in until the new valve was ordered unless he wanted me to have him come back the next day to push it back in. In the process of pushing the unit back in, as instructed, I was given an electrical shock by some exposed wires due to the last individuals negligence. (Photo included) I would give zero starts if possible and will never recommend this company to anyone.

Reply didn’t address that 2nd opinion from Appliance Care & Repair found out ice maker worked but was turned off. It wasn’t power issue button was off. 2nd tech used his cell to read button. Runyon never looked on the side of the unit to discover a leak — takes little time to undo 12 screws. As a result extensive water damage occurred. Diagnosis was done in less than 20 minutes for both appliances.

Unfortunately we had more than one thing wrong with our washer and he let us know our best option was buying a new one in the future when this one checks out for good with all the different parts and labor we’d need. On his first visit – he inspected the equipments thoroughly and found the issue(s), like he exactly knew what it needed, total SME. Second visit – he got the parts and fixed it all without cutting any corners. It was very smooth and no hassle at all. We were very impressed with his excellent customer service, knowledge and politeness. Very rarely will you find such companies and folks who work diligently and truthful. Oh yes, very timely as well. I would give 11/10 and 5 stars for sure!

The technician John, was on time and I was called and texted about his arrival. He did exactly as I asked, pointed out a few maintenance things to be aware of, put the parts in, tested, reinstalled and was on his way. AMAZING!

Angel has consistently been one of the regular technicians who have come to do any kind of work, whether it is maintenance or repair.

Sears is still the best that I have ever known for extended warranties. All my Sears appliances are covered by Sears extended warranties. There are no out of pocket costs with the exceptions of one or two external items for the refrigerator. Best rates compared to the home warranties that charge you a monthly rate plus paying a deductible when the technician arrives for a repair job.

Thank you Angel for always being the best technician we've ever had. There is never a disappointment when you are assigned to do the service and we always know you will perform and exceed our expectations.
Doug Nashif rated it 1/5: We purchased a full Kenmore Elite kitchen set from Sears Appliance Showroom. With our Kenmore Elite set we also bought all of the Sears Protection plans. We have more then received our value back from the service agreements since every appliance has needed some kind of repair. But the real night-mare began in September 2018 when the freezer stopped cooling. Working with Sears it took two months to fix it. Then the refrigerator went down. Now two months later we have not had the fridge fixed and since parts are not available they will replace. Unfortunately since our freezer/refridg is a matching set that is cabinet installed they are providing us with a fridge that doesn't match! Look at the picture below and imagine a fridge that is 1 inch shorter and has a different handle! They don't care. But they should be replacing both units as they were sold to us as a complete set and both have Protection Agreements. Working with the Sears Protection Plan and the horrible Sears Service Centers is a complete nightmare and has pushed my patience to the outer limits. Kenmore and Sears. Avoid them at all cost!
The entire process of working through the service appt center, parts, and technicians is so dysfunctional we had no less then 8 different appointments for our 2 month long freezer repair nightmare. One technician actually refused to install parts that were shipped to us and took them away. That cost us another month in waiting and frustration with no functioning freezer.

Three days later the refrigerator went down and has to this day 2 months later has not been repaired (as explained above).

We have written a long letter to Sears Corporate to request that a freezer be provided that matches the new refrigerator. Will update this review if they respond.
Adam rated it 1/5: Had called for a service for a broken wash machine. The repair guy came out, looked at the machine and told me I needed to buy a software update at $560 plus another service call fee when they come out to install it. Said it might fix the problem but no promises it would fix the machine. I said no thanks. Spent the next two days troubleshooting the machine and found it was a $45 door latch that was bad. Replaced the latch and been running fine for a while. Will never use this service again.

Last time they did not install the seals properly so when I used the washing machine water began to pour out of the bottom of the machine. On this visit, the technician moved the dryer, disconnecting it from the dryer vent and never moved it back in place or reconnected it. I called the service company to send him back out because I do not have the tools to connect the dryer myself. They said they would send him back. He never returned and I never received a follow up phone call. Washer is finally fixed but now I need to have someone come out to reconnect the dryer.

I called him and told him and I was rudely hung up on. He then showed up at 1610 and took a photo of the outside of my home saying I was not home for scheduled apt. He was rude and lied to Sears who never answers their phone.
R RL rated it 1/5: Don't bother with Sears Appliance Repair. They will give you a window of 8am to 5pm of when they can come to evaluate/repair your appliance. I went with a local guy and he gave me a two hour window that worked with my schedule. It is unreasonable for these big companies to think you can and will take an entire day off to wait around for a repairman to come.

When we called, he responded quickly and then came soon afterwards. He was able to quickly diagnose the situation which, in our case, was a fan that stopped working. Vladimir even had the part with him and was able to repair our refrigerator on the spot. The refrigerator is working well again! The price was fair for the parts and labor and Vladimir applied the service call fee toward the repair costs. Vladimir is a neat and efficient worker who is very knowledgeable, plus he runs his company professionally while being extremely personable. I appreciate his high customer care standards and I will definitely be calling him again the next time I need an appliance repair.

The website was very user friendly to set up the appointment, and the several emails I received throughout the day, gave me an update of when the drive would get to my home. The email updates allowed me to get stuff done (pay bills, wash the car, etc), prior to his arrival. Chase was awesome. He was very professional, detailed, and helpful. I would definitely use Mr. Appliance again!!

Then was sent a confirmation text/email with all of the appointment information including a shorter window, the name of the rep and information on the appointment. I also received an email the night before. The rep Chase called me when he was 30 minutes out. He showed up, figured out the issue, and was able to fix my stove within 20 minutes. Best customer service we’ve received in a long time. I will go through Mr. Appliance again if we have any other appliance issues in the future. Chase was excellent!

It was so easy to make the appointment online and Chase, the owner, texted to confirm our appointment and showed up on time ready to fix our problem. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, just an overall great guy and felt very comfortable with him in our home. He even looked at our dryer that we have issues with and gave us some great ideas on how to resolve some issues in our laundry room. I will call Mr Appliance again and again and would highly recommend them to everyone.

Brad came out to install as soon as part came in. He was very prompt as to time I was told he would arrive. He was very personable and efficient.
I definitely recommend this company.

We now have everything working again and appreciate them for all their hard work. They went above and beyond, made the extra trips and were so great to deal with. The office staff communicated well and called back when promised. This is a Father & Son which I love because it’s personal not corporate. Both so nice in answering all of my questions, and explained why things weren’t working. Really really great company and that seems very rare to see these days, highly recommend them. Thanks guys! We appreciate you.

The tech was not able to do anything at all and scheduled for another tech to come Monday. I called Monday morning to confirm the time and the dispatcher tells me we are not on the schedule today, I relayed the events of Saturday and how the tech said he scheduled someone else to come Monday and she said that only she can schedule appointments and the techs cannot. Save yourself some time and find a different company to use besides them!!!

Diagnosed the issue immediately (needed new motherboard), ordered the part, and got it replaced in less than 24hrs. He does quality work and gives solid answers (unlike other repair companies I've called in the past). Would highly recommend Ilya.
