I pay $50 a month and just paid a $75 deductible in order for them to put me on the schedule. Even though I paid the $75, I am asked again time after time to pay it when I attempt to schedule service online or use the link they send via text. I can't get around it. Plus, getting ahold of someone in the warranty department is like pulling teeth. I've learned that when I call, since the the phone system does not offer a way to speak to someone one from the warranty area, I select an option that will send me to a live person just to request they transfer me to the correct department so I can actually talk to someone who can help. Also, once tech came to look at my fridge, which isn't cooling anymore, he assured me all looked good (I know it wasn't) bc his computer couldn't diagnose it. He left and now I am going in circles once again just to schedule someone to come back out. If I would have known that this warranty service wouldn't serve the purpose I was told it should then I would have never signed up. This was supposed to save me time and money and instead is causing me more issues.

    1. My refrigerator was not working, however freezer was.
    2. Due to lack of funds, I couldn't get it fixed right away.
    3. I finally called Sears Repair to set up an appointment to have a technician to see what the problem. He frame the end of September. He told me what was the problem and asked me if I wanted him to order the part and I said yes. He ordered it and told me the part should arrive im about 10 days. At that time, he set up the appointment for the technician to replace the part. He scheduled it for Oct. 18. I received an email confirmation for the dates mentioned above,
    4. Part arrived before the ten days, sitting on the dining room table. Oct. 18 arrived and no one came to replace the part. I waited the whole freaking day for nothing. No email indicating it was cancelled.
    5. Later that da I received an email indicating job has been completed. Talking about fuming. I responded to the email telling them that was a lie. If job has been completed, why is the part still sitting on my dining room table. I went back to my emails and I found an email dated Oct. 12 saying job has been completed. Am I going bonkers?
    6. I called Sears Repair again to see what is going on. She couldn't explain. So we scheduled another appointment. Technician arrived and explain what gapped. He said they probably thought that part arrived. I told him why didn't they call to see if part has arrived. That goes to show they are very irresponsible as far as their job is concerned. Also what gives them the right to assume if part has arrived or not. Their responsibility is to call the customers to ask if part has arrived and not assume it has not arrived. Also what gives them the right to indicate job has been completed when no one showed up. It's all screwed up. Luckily I have a second refrigerator for back up.

I've called multiple times and just get part has not been shipped no reason why. Asked to speak with a supervisor then told the supervisor would call me back in 24 hours. A week later and no call back. I paid for a protection plan I shouldn't have to be doing my laundry elsewhere. Its gets expensive and sears will not reimburse that back. I've depended on sears for over 20yrs and sad that its has changed drastically that they ignore the customer and just take their money.

When I verbally declined service, I later I got an email invoice from Sears with a lower quoted repair price. The tech signed my signature without my knowledge. Both the customer service agent and the onsite tech kept trying to pressure me into that monthly warranty program. So they are definitely being shady. So in other words had I agreed to the maintenance agreement I would have gotten a lower repair price. Not a good experience.
  • D2 rated it 1/5: Dryer issue diagnosed incorrectly. Tech advised one of the computer panels in my 9-year-old Kenmore Elite dryer was the reason it would occasionally lose power. He did not know which panel. One panel could be replaced for several hundred dollars and the other was no longer available, so he recommended that we run the dryer to complete failure and buy new. So, we purchased a new dryer. Same intermittent power issue with the new dryer. Turns out we had a bad electrical breaker and there was likely nothing wrong with the old dryer. I am so annoyed that the power wasn't initially suggested as a potential issue by our tech. If it had been, I would have immediately called an electrician. Repair appointment was easy to schedule and tech was on time and professional, but I would not use for an appliance that is out of warranty. It should have occurred to me the Sears would prefer you purchase new rather than repair old.

Daniel Cantrell and Elijah came Monday morning. Mr Appliance texted me a photo of Daniel about 1/2 hour before he arrived. They put on shoe covers and wore masks when they entered our house. They were able to repair the microwave on the first visit. Of particular note was the care they took to avoid collateral damage to our cabinets and counter tops. I was VERY impressed with their concern and care! Finally, I was quite pleased with the one year warranty that Mr. Appliance provides!

I went ahead with it and that did not resolve the issue. He came back again and estimated that it was the evaporator and quoted me $1300 minus the $600 I already paid for. I could buy a new fridge with that! So basically I wasted $600 on something that did not fix the issue! I called the secretary back to see if there was anything that could be done cause I felt cheated of $600 and she said she will look into it and call me back. Have not heard back. Don’t waste your time with Mr. Appliance.

  • RAM rated it 1/5: I called this company and the owner Jack came out to my house. They charge $99 for the service call, and if you decide to do the recommended repair, they apply that to the cost. My ice maker wasn't making ice. My brother was there with him, while I spoke to him over the phone. He said I needed to purchase a new motor. and quoted me $400+. I was hesitant to do so since I could buy a countertop ice maker for half the price. He told me to think about it over the weekend and let him know since he has to order the part. Friday night while researching the refrigerator online, I found a video that said the ice maker tends to go out due to the wires underneath the door getting ripped/torn every time you open the door. My brother spliced them back together and guess what? My ice maker now works. No new motor needed!! I tried calling the owner back the next day, Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, and then Thursday morning. He finally returned my call Thursday afternoon. When i explained to him the real issue, he said "great, glad your brother fixed it", then he got belligerent with me, and started talking over me. He said to call him if I ever needed help with anything else (obviously being sarcastic) I responded by saying that I would make sure to leave reviews so that the City of San Antonio could be aware of his fraudulent repair services. He then said he would sue me for defamation if I left him a bad review. Sir, you quoted me for a new motor that i did not need. You tried to say that that it's all one piece. LIES. You never even looked at the area where the wires are located to make a correct diagnostic. Definitely do not recommend this company for any repair service.

The technician said that a new motor for the refrigerator is needed. The motor for the refrigerator had been working fine until the technician replaced the motor for the freezer. Then, was the motor for the refrigerator broken during the one-hour repair time? I wanted to fix it, so the technician replaced the motor for the refrigerator. I paid $340 for the second motor. However, the freezer and the refrigerator didn't work once the new motor was installed. The technician said that there was a control issue. Then, was the control board broken during the one-hour repair time? Do you think that it makes sense that another part should be placed two times once the recommended part is replaced? It was the control issue that caused problems in the first place, and new motors were not needed. I wanted my old motor to be back in, but the technician refused to put the old motor back. I asked him to leave the old motor, but he refused my request and took the old motor. He left the old motor at first, but after I complained, he insisted to take it. Why? To take the evidence of his wrongdoings. The repair date was December 8th, 2022. I called many times to contact the owner. The receptionist told me that the owner would call me back, but the owner hasn't called me yet. Can the owner be too busy to make one phone call for one month?

He arrived as scheduled, told me what the problem was and told me we needed to order a part.     He also did not want me to pay in full until after the job was complete and I was satisfied. Not too many people or companies would leave money behind until the customer is happy; and even fewer TRULY care about making sure the client is completely satisfied. The part arrived the next day and so did Joe. Turns out there was a hose that was too short on the new part but he took care of that at no extra cost..
    The job was done quick, professionally, and and at a very reasonable price.

Last week, a part on the hinge to the door of our Kenmore Elite front load washer broke and I contacted several appliances repair companies for quotes. TomTechi Appliance Repair was by far the most responsive, fair and reasonable of all I contacted. He reviewed the photos I sent him and researched the most affordable and quality replacement part and sent me a quote the same day. He was the fairest and most affordable by nearly $100.
    On the day of the scheduled repair, he called ahead to let us know he was enroute, arrived on time, and was very respectful of us, our property, and our home. I called LG based off A-1s recommendation and they came and fixed it for FREE.
If this company is that experience to not have to come out for known brand issues based off small details, their repairs must be top quality.
I’ll be using A-1 for future appliance issues.

I set up an appointment with "Oscar" who came for a diagnosis. He told me that there was probably a broken wire in the door and he would be back another time with a replacement part, he did not charge me anything. After several days I called him back, he stated he had the wrong gauge wire and he would have to get another. After several days I called again and he told me he fell off a ladder and was recovering. This was all in November, he has had no more contact with me, not returned my calls. A month later the repair was completed by another service. If this was too hard a job for him, I wish he had been honest a month ago instead of keeping me hanging. Is "Oscar" actually one of your employees? He had no uniform. He stated he was retired and only works at repair part time.

    Finally got a text back. The response was he had never worked on this model of Samsung ice maker and good luck. Well at least he is honest and did jack me around. It would have been nice if he had told me sooner. Oh well it appears this is how things work in 2022.

    Below is the response from the owner. What I wrote was accurate. If you look at other reviews, with poor ratings, you will see the response is basically the one who wrote the review is wrong. Not all all cannot be wrong. My advice – find a different appliance repair company.

They always contact me when they are on their way to our home for the appointment. They are polite, professional and always answer my questions and explain the problem and how it was fixed. Their repair fees are very reasonable. I absolutely recommend them to anyone needing appliance work.

I Had a home warranty service claim and needed a technician – the sent me to “My Repairman”. The work order said to call My Repair Man to set up an appointment. After five phone calls and a message – I had to call the home warranty company to call them to set up an appointment.
    Once the tech came out – he determined that the appliance still had a manufactures warranty. He said he would call manufacturer and home warranty service and cancel the order with them and order the parts from the manufacturer and fix it that way but another tech would come out to actually fix the appliance. “Great – no problem! When will I hear something?” “24 Hours”
    So I call – 48 hours later, and I leave a message. I call a few hours later and someone actually picks up the phone – Holy Cow! Only to tell me that they aren’t going to do what the technician said. So I waste about a week of my time dealing with these guys when I could have been getting my appliance fixed. Which is tomorrow by the way!
