When I went to them for the first time, I asked them, I want to work in cleaning apartments, and they lied that there are many apartments and they want someone to take care of them, but the reality is completely different. Basically, they did not send even one apartment. It is funny, except that you receive The account is with them for a year, but you have to pay them a salary for four months of this year. The plumber got here and flirted with me for about 20 minutes infront of my teenage daughter, made some comments that wasn't appropriate and then sat in his car for 4 hours. Followed by a quote for 5k. I said no way. Then the fan people came in, while nice they left a huge mess of broken wall in our parking lot.
I reached out to the company over and over again about paying the bill and they kept saying someone would get ahold of me and no one did for over a month! Then they sent me a bill for $500 for the guy that hit on me and sat in his car for 4 hours. I said no way! Finally they get the bill right weeks later (still charging me $75 for the inappropriate guy and I cleaned my parking lot) I explained to them I would need a couple days to move the money back into the checking account and it would take a couple of days, shortly after I ended up in the hospital.

Now you think since they were in no hurry, and couldn't figure out how to bill me for so long they wouldn't be in a rush as I'm dealing with health issues and the hospital but nope they start calling everyday. Then send court papers, with a late fee, because as if it's not bad enough I have to pay for their lazy plumber who was unprofessional and inappropriate INFRONT OF MY DAUGHTER I should pay a late fee because they couldn't get their stuff together MONTHS ago when I tried paying, and called and texted them repeatedly to pay.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY!

Did not offer me another position nor made any sense of letting me go. I would never recommend this company to anyone. For work or services. They treat their employees unfairly and need to be shut down. I have more to say but the company speaks for itself HORRIBLE!

I think the prices are fair, but I am not an expert in that respect. I recently purchased a new house that was very dirty from the previous owner. Deep Clean Kings sold me a "move-in" and "floors" package. The wood floors were way better after the machine cleaning, and the pet smell is mostly gone now. I did have a complaint about the quality of the cleaning in the bathrooms, but the manager came back the following Monday and made it right. I will be setting up monthly cleanings with them.

I just bought a new house and asked for a deep clean. The house is completely empty and in relatively clean condition to start. As you can see in the pictures, the manager first said $300 for 4 hours deep clean. We gave $50 down and then he asked for another $300, because it took about 4.5 hrs.
I did not keep track of time, I assumed the worker would finish the job in 4 hrs considering it was a COMPLETELY EMPTY house. He then charged ~$280 + $50 deposit which I agreed to since I didn't want to argue and would have respected an honest job.

After reviewing the work (images + many more things I didn't have the time to take pics of) it is clear the work was either lazy, not thorough, or rushed. This is surprising considering the house was COMPLETELY EMPTY and took a little over 4 hours to do. I don't understand how this is professional or honest.
I had to use MY OWN EQUIPMENT and clean up on my own to fix everything. I requested $100 back for the dishonest job and having to do my own cleaning despite hiring "professional cleaners" who are called "deep clean kings".

The owner PERSISTED ON NOT giving me any money back, and instead offered my a voucher. This is despite telling him multiple times I did not trust his services anymore and had to clean everything they missed myself. He did not listen to me explaining to him that it would take time out of my day and busy schedule with kids and work, to keep my doors open and allow them to do the job again that they should have done correctly the first time.
I even told him I didn't want any more money or less, just $100 for money they did not earn, but took dishonestly with an incomplete job, my waste of time, and resources.
HE DID NOT ANSWER.

They both were very professional and courteous. I would definitely use them again!

There were a few items I thought could’ve been cleaned better, one of my toilets still had major mildew stains and the cleaners also somehow unplugged my refrigerator overnight. The next day there was water all over my kitchen floor. Also, they informed me that they would not be able to move my oven to clean underneath, which is understandable, but they failed to even attempt to sweep underneath it, which would not have required much effort. Also, I had no idea someone was coming to my home an hour early to do an inspection, i think that should be communicated to customers before the appointment. So, I would hire them again for a basic cleaning, but probably not again for a deep cleaning.

The first few cleanings were top notch, but that all changed once I purchased one of their BOGO deals. The very next cleaning involved no cleaning products. The cleaning after that was a no show. When I requested a refund, they promised that I would receive one in 3-5 business days. After several texts and phone calls over ten days, I learned that because it was a BOGO I am "choosing not to use the free cleanings" and will not be receiving any sort of refund. I get it, I paid for three services and got three free, but when I am promised a refund and then told ten days later (after a lot of what now is wasted time on my part) that I won't be receiving a refund – it doesn't feel like good customer service.

Catherine McMacken rated it 1/5: I really wanted to love Detroit Maid, but honestly, the service is terrible and the owner is a con artist.
The cleaner arrived with one dirty rag and a bottle of mystery fluid to clean my whole first floor. I asked her about a vacuum and she said Detroit Maid had given her one, but that it didn't work and she couldn't use it. (This was after I had been assured by Danielle on the phone that the cleaner would bring all supplies.) I offered her my own paper towel and other supplies, but she refused to use them.

She missed key areas like corners, baseboards, windowsills, and she did a sub-standard job in others. When I asked her to re-visit what she'd missed, her response was "No, I already did that." I felt insulted and frustrated in my own home, and completely taken advantage of by Detroit Maid.

After the cleaner left, I spoke to the owner, Danielle, and she assured me that I'd get a full refund for the service, plus a refund for a future service I'd pre-booked but cancelled given the circumstances. It's been nearly two weeks of phone calls, emails, texts, and still no refund or response.

It's embarrassing to admit this in a public forum like Google Reviews, but I feel like I've been conned for hundreds of dollars by Danielle and Detroit Maid. Please do not make the same mistake I did. Any cleaning service would be better.
Sarena Harris rated it 1/5: Completely unreliable …long story short they canceled on me twice during the holiday season and I had to scramble to find someone to clean my home before Christmas. She did issue a $50 credit but i would be a fool to give them another chance to stand me up. If your employee can’t make it, 4 days before Christmas, you find time to get your client in, after hours, before hours, as a business owner, I would’ve come and cleaned the home myself. This wasn’t even last holiday season, I just get so angry every time I think about it that I wanted to document it to spare anyone else from experiencing the same thing.

No mop or vacuum… seriously. The main level was never cleaned, only two bathrooms upstairs were cleaned within 2hours. That’s it!!! I was expecting the kitchen, kitchen nook, family room, two bedrooms, and dining with my half bath to be cleaned. Those areas were never touched. Never again… never!

The cleaner said they would come back the upcoming Monday to finish the job, then canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday. He then canceled and rescheduled again. This continued until there was a no-call/no-show. I am appalled and the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability. I purchased a gift certificate for a friend, but I would like a refund because I am embarrassed to recommend this service to anyone.
