Some of the cleaning was done well but after finding errors twice and seeing he was all packed up and ready to leave, I let him go. The bathroom upstairs floor was not completely cleaned.The surfaces he cleaned such as the TV and mirror in my bedroom and the stainless steel appliances in the kitchen all left streaks and needed to be redone. The floor downstairs in the kitchen, dining room and living room had to be cleaned again.
Luis said he wiped down all of the wood trim with Murphys wood oil which I supplied but there were areas not touched. I'm upset two people were not sent out and that there was a significant language barrier with no advance notice. He offered to clean the fans but i know he didnt clean the fan in my bedroom as thats where i work from home. I can't give a great review and am disappointed. I do not recommend this service if you are listing your house for sale.

When I returned to town a week later to check out my condo , the cleaning was very poor quality. There was dirt in drawers and shelves, stains on the floor, white residue and grime in the cooktop. I called and informed the company and they said I would have to pay for a clean if I needed a better job. They would discount 50% on my next clean. I was very disappointed with their customer service and will not be using their service again.

Buyer Beware – This is the true definition of being fleeced. The only positive is that I am getting miles out of this story, and everyone I've shared with is absolutely floored. Here's some context:

We called Mill City Cleaning a few weeks before the holidays. We wanted to have the house cleaned before family was to arrive. When we spoke with Jason about the cleaning, he told us they charged $40 per person and that he would send 2 people with a rough estimate of $250. This was in line with what we had paid previously, so it seemed very competitive and reasonable.

On the day of the cleaning, 3 individuals arrived, which seemed like complete overkill. We live in a modest South Minneapolis home. A typical 1.5 story house that has around 1500-1700 sq. ft. We have a large kitchen/dining area, a 3/4 bathroom that only 1 person can stand in comfortably, a living room and 2 bedrooms on the main floor. Our upstairs is wide open with 1 bedroom and a decent sized bathroom. (3 BR/2 Bath Home)

Between the 2 of us already being home and then 3 cleaning people in our small home, it felt like we were tripping over each other. I can understand divide and conquer, and also the safety of working in a team, but this really was a bit ridiculous.

For cleaning context, they did a decent job. we were satisfied with the cleaning, as all the basics were done, bathrooms, floors, kitchen, etc. However, when we received the bill, we were FLOORED. We were charged for 10 hours of time total, at $400.

Again, this is what I would call a basic cleaning. All beds were made, no towels or sheets were changed, the fridge and oven were not cleaned inside, no windows were cleaned, our basement is finished but was NOT part of this cleaning, and the house was organized prior to them arriving. Again, I take no issue with what was cleaned, but for $400, I would have expected the house to be spotless. I found a couple cotton balls and used contacts in one of the bedrooms behind a night stand, and stains/marks on the floors in the upstairs. Also, a full glass kitchen door was filthy on the outside, what could have been a simple touch.

It really does pain me to leave a negative review, as I really would prefer to be raving. But to be quoted $250 and then charged $400, seems beyond egregious to me. I even called Jason to discuss the significant up charge, and he didn't really care, instead just said we agreed to $40 per hour. No one I know with large, 5 bedroom/4 bathroom houses in the suburbs pays even close to $400 for house cleaning. Very disappointing and we will be taking future business elsewhere.

NOTE: if you look at the negative reviews dealing with staffing, for the most part, they are correct in terms of having to wait to get started and then to find a regular cleaner. When you begin with Two Bettys, a very popular cleaning service with very loyal customers, they will tell you there's a wait of X amount of weeks. When they began with us, we had a few different cleaners, sometimes at different days of the week, until we settled on a regular cleaner (all of whom did a great job). Finally, after a few months (and great communication, always keeping me abreast of issues), they found us a regular cleaner in Tony, with whom we appreciate working. All of the cleaners do a very thorough job, put things back, follow specific instructions if you have them, and leave the place spotless with a note telling you of the day's focus, issues, etc. Yes, in this time of post-pandemic, if you want a cleaning company that immediately assigns you someone at the snap of a finger, good luck finding them–when you do, I imagine they will probably get to your house on a steam-powered unicorn. But if you want a phenomenal company that exists in reality and is dealing with the same staffing issues as… I don't know, the whole planet? and that not only does a great job but pays its staff fairly and treats them with respect, then get on Two Bettys' waiting list now. You'll be glad you did.

We love supporting a local business that treats employees and customers in line with our values, and we've been impressed with the quality of work that cleaners have done. What prompted me to leave a review today was how Two Bettys responded to a mistake on their end. Thanksgiving holiday caused some scheduling changes, and we had a substitute cleaner today. Because Two Bettys management didn't communicate well with the substitute cleaner ahead of time, they sent someone with a dog phobia to our dog-having household. We scrambled to stash the dog at a family member's house for the morning, and sent a quick email to Two Bettys client services to let them know what the situation was, and how it left us feeling surprised, upset, and frustrated. Within a few hours we received a response that Two Bettys management made the mistake of not communicating pet preferences ahead of time, won't charge us for today's clean (to compensate us for our time finding a solve), will pay the substitute cleaner, has put a note in our file not to send anyone who isn't 100% cool with dogs in the future, and is reaching out to the sub cleaner to see if there's anything more they need. This is a pitch-perfect response to me that leaves me feeling heard, valued, and confident that they're doing what they need to do to prevent similar mistakes from happening in the future. If you also want a cleaning company that gets your house cleaned, treats cleaners and customers well, and is accountable to mistakes — look no further.

They are always willing to work with our schedule when we have late night or weekend events/meetings. If a product they are using is not meeting their standers they will try new ones until they find something that does. On top of all that, they are amazingly nice and down to earth people who are a pleasure to work with!

I was able to contact LZ House Cleaning Services LLC right away, and this was on a Saturday, and secured their services for Monday, which still worked out okay. I was moving in a tenant on Wednesday! LZ House Cleaning showed up on time and they went straight to work! I have never seen someone work so hard! She was meticulous and thorough with cleaning every room! LZ House Cleaning saved me! I was so thankful for their amazing service and I moved my tenant in on time too!
