Ugur Pinar rated it 1/5: Hello, If you hire this company, please make sure you can go to top of the roof and inspect their work once it is done. If there was zero star, I would give zero star to this company. Initially, they send couple great employees to inspect the chimney and give an estimate which makes one think that he or she is hiring a great company. However, the work they do can be better by ten years old. This company provides bad quality of work and poor workmanship and they make a lot of excuses and false statements. Again, please make sure you can inspect their work if you hire this company. I would not give them a single penny until they finish the work and it is inspected by the home owner. I found many mistakes and damages to my existing shingles. Be very careful.

Of course, I am going to ask for my loss because your company is the one who send me incompetent employees to do the job and caused all the damages to my shingles and roof. I would not be in this mess if you take ownership of the work you provided. I saw your employees reviews on the indeed and see how Master Services treat their employees. No wonder you cannot find quality employees to do the job. I hope everyone who hires your company inspects the work from end to end.

In the below response, where they indicated they politely denied my request for losses is a false statement. Master Services sent an email to me on 09/14 and asked me to delete my BBB complaint and sign a NON DISPARAGEMENT Agreement to not post any reviews or post on social media in return they would give me a good faith check of $700. They did a lot more damages then $700. I was only asking what was taken by their employees and give them a chance to the right thing.

I hope everyone else does not go through all the things I went through with this company and all the stress they caused me.

Basically it needed the crown to be rebuilt and a rain cap installed. His prices were much better, than all the other places I called. Also the others just told me what price and what they were going to do. He told me why and how. Which for me is important. My chimney was 71 inches long so it required custom cap. Which he had made very quickly. Today he installed it. And it looks very nice.

He is honest and offered me scenarios that did not cost much to doing a bigger job for a few hundred dollars. I trusted his expertise and appreciated his honesty. He let me decide and I chose the full cleaning and am so glad I did. The fireplace looks brand new!! I feel so much better that he checked the safety of the gas lines and that it is working the way it is supposed to. I would highly recommend him to all.

Placed drop cloths and vacuumed all that came after (it was a lot). Good experience.

Upon arrival, Chris was wearing a top hot and greeted us with a big, jolly smile. He came in and assessed our chimney. He found there was a blockage which surprised me. He pulled out a piece of red cloth and explained to my children that it must have been Santa's pants that he snagged when he came down our chimney! My kids were so ecstatic! Chris let them keep the piece of Santa's pants which added to their excitement! Chris resumed checking and cleaning our chimney in a very timely manner. He advised me of the prices ahead of time, saying there was an inspection fee and a cleaning fee, but the inspection fee may be waived if the job isn't too bad.
He came in, did a thorough check inside the chimney and on the roof, and then sealed up the chimney to begin cleaning. When he finished, he cleaned up well and didn't leave any remnants. The entire process took about 2 hours. Very professional and dependable. I'd recommend TexVents to anyone seeking a chimney sweep.

Tried to get on my own roof to clear the vent but found it was too steep for my taste. Found TexVent on the BBB website and within minutes of emailing them was scheduled with a tech for the next day. Unheard of as currently all other major business’ were days out before you could be seen. He arrived, got my dryer vent off, and exposed a flaw in my builders choice of vent cap. After that he did a thorough cleaning of my tube leading outside. He kept to his quoted price. All in all top marks from this customer!

Finally got a reply and he told me to text him address and he would set up a time and come back out and help. Never heard from him. After several months I tried again. Left messages, no reply. I finally reached him. He apologized and offered excuses. We set a time for him to come out. He did call that morning he was to arrive and said he could not make it but would be back in town around 1pm and would call on his way back and then come out. I have not heard from him since then. It has been several weeks or more now. Thought I would post this info.
Disappointed.

I had an appointment with a pest control setup for Thursday morning to have them removed yeah, they had told me they would have to break the inside brick out to remove them. John showed up a couple hours later and helped remove the raccoons, he is also working with my landlord to order a chimney topper because our size isn't a regular one that Home Depot or Lowe's carries. Very helpful and friendly, I would highly recommend!
