Richard A rated it 5/5: Used Lords Chimney to service my gas fireplace which was not working. I called to make an appointment – was 1-2 weeks out, which is as expected. Very nice and professional over the phone. I received a text the morning of my appointment to let me know that they were on the way. The text confirmed the tech's name and had a picture of him, my address, certifications and a little bit about the tech personally – also had a link to track the status of the tech and included a phone # to call or text with questions. I've never received that level of communication for ANY service appointment. Cody arrived at my home with another person. They came in with shoe coverings, we discussed the issue I was having, and then they setup shop at my fireplace. They laid down a clean cloth working tarp – covered a large area. Put their toolbox on it and went to work. They checked everything – pilot, thermocouple, etc. and diagnosed the problem was debris in my pilot assembly. They removed all the fake fireplace logs and vacuumed each one individually to get all the soot off!!! Never expected that – so nice! Also, rearranged by logs to improve airflow and prevent more debris and soot from getting on the pilot light opening. They then vacuumed their tarp and everything around them. Made NO mess at all – which is amazing consider that they were working with a fireplace. Outstanding!!! They were both so nice and professional. I've had previous issues with several other companies that service fireplaces – didn't show, hard to schedule, tech didn't fix the problem, messy, etc.. Lords is hands down the BEST one out there! I will use them going forward and recommend them to anyone.

He entered with the shoe coverings on, and was very professional and quick with his repairs. He also helped me with another fireplace issue that we discovered during his visit. While I don’t know much about chimneys, we have been happy with what appears to be quality work. However, two major obstacles: (1) the scheduling system is frustrating; we never had any advance notice about appointment time when we first had them come to do the work quoted and they did half of the project and had to come back two weeks later to finish it, with at least three different sets of people quoting and doing the work; and (2) today they finished the project and while most of their work was clean, whoever was in our house today made a mess and we have a layer of soot/dust on every surface within 20 feet of our chimney. See attached picture that shows a damp paper towel wiped ONE time over a two foot section of our living room table that is literally twenty feet from the chimney. I don’t know how this happened but I have three kids, one of whom crawls around all day and the lack of care in my home is deeply disappointing. They didn’t clean the chimney on the day all this mess was generated—they were just finishing building a tiny bit of the back of my firebox. So not knowing what this dust is causes a bit of anxiety that my kids have something toxic all over them. Not good!!

The employees we have dealt with have been courteous and professional. Their prices are reasonable on the maintenance of the flu and repair work. In addition, when they came out in August, they installed a metal panel at the back of the fireplace which deflects the heat of the fire. This greatly increased the warm from the fire. We highly recommend using Masters Services Chimney and Masonry.

The person sent out to measure didn't know what he was doing. a second person had to come out and remeasure. It took a really long time to get the doors. I called the office four times total before someone got back to me on what was going on. The delay was due to people out sick with Covid, which I understand. But the follow up from the people in the office was lacking. Overall, product great quality, they need to work on professionalism.

I would not give them a single penny until jot is completed and inspected. Initially, they send couple great employees to inspect the chimney and give an estimate which makes one think that he or she is hiring a great company. However, the work they do can be better by ten years old. This company provides bad quality of work and poor workmanship and they make a lot of excuses and false statements. They will not do the right thing instead they will make false statements and blame you for the mistakes. Again, please make sure you can inspect their work if you hire this company. Be very careful.

Of course, I am going to ask for my loss because your company is the one who send me incompetent employees to do the job and caused all the damages to my shingles and roof. I would not be in this mess if you take ownership of the work you provided. I saw your employees reviews on the indeed and see how Master Services treat their employees. No wonder you cannot find quality employees to do the job. I hope everyone who hires your company inspects the work from end to end. Please see the pictures.

In the below response, where they indicated they politely denied my request for losses is a false statement. Master Services sent an email to me on 09/14 and asked me to delete my BBB complaint and sign a NON DISPARAGEMENT Agreement to not post any reviews or post on social media in return they would give me a good faith check of $700. They did a lot more damages then $700. I was only asking what was taken by their employees and give them a chance to the right thing.

I hope everyone else does not go through all the things I went through with this company and all the stress they caused me.

My home is over 50 years old and the chimney looks great after the power wash and filing on some cracks as well as the sealant around the flooring which was my main issue causing water leak inside the house. They arrived around 5pm-6pm did their work efficiently and professionally, I met Jeremy one of the workers who was beyond great. We asked him to do something and he did it. NO ISSUES. Earlier in the year, they cleaned my air ducts, and made them look brand new. My system no longer has growth occurring or expensive air leaks. Recently I brought them back out to add additional insulation in my attic. It was blown in perfectly for even coverage and they were quick to complete the scope of work. My electricity bill has noticeably improved since.

This company is memorable, because they are committed to doing right by their customers and standing by the quality of their work. I will use them again in the future for any services they offer!

David Brewster rated it 1/5: Came out wanted over 1600 to clean vents charged a service fee of 67.00 then came back and said fee changed wanted 99.00 then did not turn my air handler back on my house house has heated up I called and was asked to turn on my self after paying a fee now waiting for someone to return to turn handler back on while my upstairs unit Continuously runs hopefully it’s not damaged due to Their negligence
