We met with Judy who showed us all of the available gas inserts, and we learned a lot about how it would help with energy efficiency, as well as some safety tips with a newly-walking toddler. In the end, we found a gas insert that we were excited about, and Matt got us scheduled quickly so we could enjoy Christmas and New Years with our new gas insert. Devon and team just wrapped up the work and we are so thrilled with how it turned out! We've called Kurt about 3 or 4 time and every time he has impressed us. Most recently, we had our chimney rebuilt. We live in an older home and we knew when we bought our house that we would need to do some chimney repairs. This project lasted several days. His crew was very respectful, timely, and followed through on everything they said. The chimney looks great. The pricing was similar to all the other professionals and we like him so much that we gave him the project.

We Haven't used the chimney a SINGLE time since the cleaning!! I feel taken advantage of, and whats worse if the cleaning wasn't done properly what about the inspection?! Is my chimney really okay? or is my family and home at risk!!

Josh was right on time, asked a few questions based on what I'd talked about on the phone, and got to work cleaning and fixing the fireplace. Not only did he do a great job, he also told me a few products that I could and couldn't use to clear out buildup and debris myself. (Don't use Windex on fireplace glass!). At the end of the cleaning, the problem seemed fixed, but right before he left it started acting up again. He quickly rearranged a few things with the next stop (sorry, next person!) and managed to diagnose and fix the actual problem in about 20 minutes. Great job, great service, and my fireplace is working well now. Thank you!

When technicians did come out almost a month later they were prepared for the cleaning without ever giving an upfront quote. Having people in my driveway I felt pressured to go with the service. One technician spent more time telling all the additional services I needed than explaining what I was paying $350+ for. I'm not saying they are bad or not to use them. Just be advised of what happened to me.

Dennis was by far the most transparent and also the easiest for me to get in touch with and communicate with. He didn't try to over or undersell me on what was needed for rebuilding the top of our chimney. His son Mitchel and his crew did a great job on it. They did a great job fast and affordably and cleaned up after themselves. Whole process from beginning to end was smooth. Highly recommend.

We had a leak around around our chimney, going into our attic. We struggled finding someone to perform the work before the winter, and at a good price. We called Milwaukee Chimney and Roof, and John was able to give me a quote the same day, without coming to the house (I'm sure this is circumstantial).
Unlike other companies, John picked up his phone every time I called. His crew was on time, professional, and quick! They cleaned up after they finished the job, and made sure we were satisfied before they left.

The price is excellent! It's at least "competitive," though I actually think they might be undercharging for what an excellent job they did and their exceptionally straightforward approach.

I had them come out to do tuckpointing and some repair on my chimney. It isn't done yet in all fairness, but i will definitely have them come back out when I get the money together.

They not only performed straightforward, good honest work but they also informed me that another bid was really overblown on what needed to happen. No pressure, no bs – just a great guy and his son(?) I think.

Oh, and it looks great! They did a great job. I can't say enough good things about Milwaukee Chimney and Roof.

Ann Raisler rated it 5/5: We found Ashbusters at the home show. We knew our nearly 100 year old chimney needed work inside and out and we missed having fires. The store manager himself came to estimate the work. That in itself was points in their favor after so many bad estimates on windows and other work we have had over the 39 years we have lived here. We had even had one of our two chimneys rebuilt years back and that was a horror story in itself even though the insurance company picked the contractor. We ended up having a little less than 1/2 of our huge, to the ground, chimney rebuilt and relined. Then they installed this great new Pryor Fire system in the fireplace. That resulted in the fireplace being lined with a new style of fire brick that actually absorbs the heat and circulates it back to the bottom and out into the room. As a result there is no heat loss in the room. There is nothing mechanical, no blowers. When we tested it for the first time 6 of us were in front of it and within 10 minutes the room warmed up 15 degrees and we had all backed up to the door.

As we were the first install of the Pryor Fire in the region the manufacturer was actually onsite for the training and install. We had 6 of the most polite guys in our living room most of the week. My dog mourned them when they left. We have never had any contractor that was so polite or so clean… ever. Whenever they were done for the day they were cleaning and dusting my living room, hallway, driveway….they would have cleaned the kitchen if I let them.

They came back today to install two copper chimney covers and we were floored. They were huge and gorgeous and it reminded me I hadn’t written a thank you review! If you are looking for chimney or fireplace work give these guys a call. They are the most trustworthy contractor you will ever hire. They set a new standard in home repair and improvement.

Very accommodating with my scheduling needs. Great communication leading up to the appointment, including a call to see if they could come early. Karen H. rated it 5/5: Gareth and his associate (I'm SO sorry associate, I can't recall your name!) were prompt and immediately set to inspecting my long…LONG unused fireplace. Unfortunately, it turns out that the fireplace was also not maintained.
I knew it was going to need work, however I was unprepared for the scale that it would need to be functional. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty sad about it.
However, Gareth was understanding and thorough in his explanations of everything they found. He showed me the photos they'd taken as well as provided a detailed report of everything. At no point did I feel like he was a salesperson trying to push anything on me. Which I really appreciate.
He's been very responsive to my follow up questions and I will have no hesitation in recommending Ashbusters services to anyone.

He answered all our questions before, during, and after performing the work. He is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were impressed with how smooth the project went, and how well he and his colleague cleaned up – inside and out – after the job.
