Martin arrived early, was super friendly, bilingual (which was perfect because he was able to explain to my husband in Spanish everything we need to know), and kept our white carpets clean! I emailed them and they were very quick to respond, courteous and helpful. It turned out some parts had given out and needed replacing. They only charged us for parts and not the repeat service, when they came to fix it the final time. José was the technician that came out the last time and did an excellent job. Everything is working great again and our fireplace insert works like new.
They do a great job respecting the house and cleaning up, as well as friendly service.

We dropped by, scheduled a time and when the service person came out, he found that the original vents had shifted and were no longer venting properly. They had to reschedule for a later day because two people were needed to replace the vent. They came, fixed it, thoroughly cleaned and tested the unit (about ten years old) and it works fine. The gentlemen were friendly, clean and did a great job. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend them.

He was familiar with our chimney and was able to do everything related to the chimney sweep in 30 minutes. Martin was super efficient and very clean. In addition, he was super personal and was able to answer every question. Fatima and Evy in the office are also wonderful to deal with when scheduling and confirming an appointment. Overall, highly pleased with the service and relieved to have a clean chimney.

He came to do and inspection and cleaning and found we had some serious issues and was able to quickly quote the repairs and after approval get us on back on the schedule for install. He was able to grind out the mortar and replace it with high quality Heat resistant mortar and install a custom steel plate to protect the old brick back wall of the fireplace to prevent further cracking. He is extremely professorial and very clean. He was able to get the custom made steel back plate made in a week. I can't say enough good things about Peninsula Chimney and I will be calling them next year for the annual wood stove cleaning.

Idan the project manager explained me all about the process as far as how many days and what I need to take into consideration when dealing with water damage he was very informative and accurate on times.
The project was done within six days and construction started the week after we were able to get back to normal in no time thank you Reactic Restoration for a great service highly recommended!

Her crew worked quickly, quietly and cleanly. We are very happy with this work and would recommend The Irish Sweep.

She and her team cleaned and conducted a video inspection of one of our fireplace chimneys (they had done the same on our second fireplace for a prior owner, so immediately recognized there was no need to reinspect just yet – saved us that cost).

The video inspection identified areas of missing mortar in the joints between flue tiles, rendering the fireplace unsafe to use. Thus, Sally and her team returned to perform a relining of both flues with HeatShield (Irish Sweep is one of the only companies in the Bay Area with certification from the HeatShield manufacturer to do this work).

They also installed a top mount damper on a flue where the original interior damper had rusted out. Works like a charm and seals completely.

The complex work went smoothly and on schedule. When less material was needed than first estimated, Sally adjusted her fee downward accordingly.

We'll happily stick with Irish Sweep for all our future chimney needs!

Yoni Mayeri rated it 1/5: Contracted with this company to clean out my chimneys. Two men arrived to do the job and suggested I add on cleaning my dryer vent for an extra fee. As I had not done that in a long time, it seemed like a good idea so I agreed. I knew something was up when I heard them arguing. They managed to disconnect my dryer vent from where it connects under the house to the vent pipe that runs to the outside. They said they were unable to reconnect it as it was in a very small space. The young man was too large to fit in the space, and the old guy was too old to crawl into the area to reconnect it. Then they tried to tell me that it had been that way all along! I knew it hadn't as I regularly saw steam venting from the pipe outside the house before their visit, but no steam venting since.
I complained that they had caused a hazard, and needed to fix it, but did not receive any service. They left it that way….AND HAD THE NERVE TO CHARGE ME FOR THE SWEEP AND THE DRYER VENT CLEANING!
Stay far away from these dishonest people!

I just can't say enough about how happy I am with the work he did.
Grady even went above and beyond what he was hired to do. Our place is small, so our cat's litter box is normally close to the fire place. This means our cat kicks out some of his litter onto the tile near/in front of the fire place. I did not have a chance to clean it before Grady came in. When I went to move the litter box back, I realized that Grady cleaned it up for me. Thanks Grady for making my life a little easier today. Next time I will have a bottle of wine for you to take home. 🙂

I'm so happy we hired him because he found all sorts of issues, which if we hadn't had inspected, probably would've caused a huge fire in our home. He walked us through the issues, provided photos, and then fixed everything. Now we have a safe and functional fireplace to enjoy during the winter. His prices were reasonable, he was nice, and did a fantastic job. I can't recommend him enough! We will definitely use him for any maintenance in the future!

He has gone above and beyond to help inspect and repair our chimney, including being mindful of sound during baby's nap, a timely return to fix a part after the initial inspection, giving guidance/parts for some DIY work, and following up to schedule the next cleaning.
