I own a home in Old Farm after being unexpectedly plunked in a wheelchair when a foot surgery went bad I was out in front of my house pushing my lawn mower (yes pushing my lawn mower) when a WIRE NUT service truck passed by. The gentleman driving that truck took the time to pull over take the mower from me and finish mowing. Thank YOU . That was rare. I will always call on a company that takes the time to look around and so should you. I hope the owner see's this it's true.

The technician who provided our estimate apparently didn't take the measurements needed and when the hvac guys showed up they didn't know if they would be able to pull it off with our set up. Jeremy was great, not only did he figure out a solution but he was kind and very thorough. He gave us updates of what was being done and assured us he would find a way to make it right. He did! Jared came the same day and was very attentive – he not only restored the power, but checked safety of my electrical wiring – we found some issues (house is almost 40 years old). We scheduled time for an appointment for him to come, rewire and replace outlets on same circuit from garage to bathrooms to outdoors power. Emilio & Bryan installed a brand new a/c unit and a new heating system. They were very professional, did a great job, timely work, and made sure we knew everything we needed to about our new systems. Would highly recommend anyone who needs work done, call these guys. They don't overprice and they're very straight forward about repairs/replacements.

And scheduled the installation to be done quickly. This is very important to me as I live in an area that is already experiencing freezing temperatures.
One Source Home Service scheduled a technician to come out the same day I contacted them. Brandon arrived in the time frame expected. He cleaned and inspected the heater. He took pictures of the motors, blower, circuit board, etc… He used these to explain why the heater wasn't working and what it would take to get it functional again. He was professional and pleasant. He gave me the information I needed to make a decision on how to proceed with no pressure.

Daniel and Terrance installed a new heating unit for me today. They worked efficiently and competently. The unit is working great. With the temperatures dropping into the 20's at night and colder weather in the forecast, I am so happy that One Source Home Service has my home warm and comfortable.

I was told in advance a plumber would have to reinstall the toilet and sink and I have (now had) a membership with One Source so I booked an appointment. The original appointment was canceled due to challenges during flooring (not related to the work, just the house) and called again when I had a good idea of completion. The next appointment was delayed due to One Source not having personnel to handle the work and I agreed (reluctantly) to a new appointment the following week. That appointment was today. They called around noon to ask if they could show up early and then showed up within the appointment window (not early). Looked at the work to be done and quoted me $1100. Note, I'm not asking for a new toilet, sink or washer, just a rehookup of the existing equipment. Never again will I use them!

I called another business recommended by a friend and half-way into the window of time they were supposed to come, I got a call that the crew called in sick and no-one would be coming. I finally remembered that I had worked with Affordable Plumbing before and was really pleased then, so I called them and they had someone out to my house within two hours of my call. Mitchel, the technician, was awesome! He called in advance to ask if he could arrive early, then was the friendliest, warm and professional person I’ve ever met in this type of home-maintenance capacity. He was fast, efficient, clear and communicative. He didn’t try to talk me into anything beyond what I requested and showed me exactly what he was doing and the end result. Five stars isn’t enough, IMO. I’ll recommend Affordable Plumbing to anyone who asks and tell them to ask for Mitchel, if it has to do with clearing a drain! The entire experience from phone call to price to full service was above and beyond what I expected!

Specialist came to my house, checked HVAC and recommended change Blower Motor(900$~), because he found evidence of leaking grease.
He didn't even take it off to double check.
I took it's off by myself and it's no leaks of grease there. Just dust…
Everything works fine in my house. They just tried to take more money. Paid for service 250$. Photos attached.

I live in a house built in the 1900s so there were various levels of electrical installed that needed to be upgraded. We had two separate electric panels as if the house was split into two apartments and I wanted to be able to charge my electric car in our driveway. All the staff at the Electric Way was professional and knowledgeable. Explaining along the way the things we needed to do. Before their work I could choose between running the dishwasher or microwave or sink disposal or charge my car but never two of those at the same time! Everything now works like a charm. We also had them install three ceiling fans upstairs having them replace the knob and tube that was up their still. Thank you to the Electric Way for such a speedy install I truly felt like each one of your staff wanted to make sure the job was done right. I am very picky about who I trust to work on my house and when I need electrical work done this is who I will call and recommend to anyone needing electrical work done.

He did a fantastic, fast, efficient and clean job!! There was minimal drywall cutting needed because he was able to fish the wire through without cutting multiple holes.
He meticulously cleaned up after the job. He was very friendly and courteous. I will definitely use this company again and I highly recommend them!!

They showed up on time and completed the work within the estimated time both times. I also really like that the invoice is sent separately after the work is complete, so that I'm not having to give my credit card info to the technician or call and do it over the phone. It feels more secure this way and makes the technician's time more efficient. A win all around!

They did such a great job in the work! Extremely nice and professional and Wes was awesome in making sure everything was done correctly.
There was even an issue with a fixture we purchased and they had to come back 2 weeks later to complete the job, they were so nice about it and easy to work with to schedule.

When I contacted Handyman Connection, I was at a total loss with my current handyman. He was committed to a big project and I was eager to get some extra help. When I first met Jay, I realized that he is a sincere, considerate, and honest man. He took on what he could and was honest about what he could not do. The estimate appointment was quick and pleasant. I decided to go with him to install my new mailbox. Nothing was unclear on next steps so I was pleased to get started.

Jay arrived on time and went straight to work (let me also add that this company does not do "time frames", they arrive at the time that they are scheduled for which is a PLUS for me!). He exceeded my expectations from start to finish. From professionalism to project efficiency. He did run into a small issue because he needed more concrete for my mailbox stand but was transparent with the process so I was not worried at all.

Next time I need a job done I'm 100% requesting Jay. If you are looking for some general handyman work/small projects please consider him. I am very selective when it comes to continuing business relationships so hopefully this helps you if you are considering working with Handyman Connection.

They made room on their busy schedule to replace a water heater that went bad. I let them know we have out of town guests coming and 3 hours after I made the call, we have a new one.

I had called because the HVAC system in the house which was 21 years old had failed and I was looking to replace the entire system. He walked me through all my options, costs, and spent a significant amount of time explaining the differences between systems. Scott was extremely helpful and did not make me feel any pressure to make a decision. After a bit of internal discussion, we decided to go with the option that Comfort By Design had suggested.
Less than two weeks later and the team is here installing the system. The team doing the install. Anthony and Jeremy have been working here at my location all day and Jon and Joe joined than for part of the day. They are very professional and explained the entire process to me ahead of time. They removed all the old equipment, and everything was pretty much perfect when they left. They did have to cut a few holes in the ceiling to route an exhaust vent, so people are scheduled to come back and repair that. Once everything was done Jeremy walked me through the new system and I probably asked more questions than he wanted but he patiently answered every one.
The system is installed, the install area is clean, and I am able to use my AC again. I’m anxious to see how my new 98% efficient heater works in the fall as well. Thanks a ton, to Comfort By Design for making this an easy and quick process. You guys are the best.
Brian Schmitt rated it 5/5: We asked Comfort by Design to give us an estimate on replacing a 17-year-old, 2 zone HVAC system consisting of 2 furnaces and 2 air conditioners. Scott was extremely thorough in laying out all the options, explaining furnace and air conditioner efficiencies, and the pros and cons of various equipment configurations. He obviously cares about his customers and configuring the best system for their needs and budget.
Installation took several days in hot, dirty conditions in the attic, basement, and outside. The installation team of Jeremy, Mike, and Jessie did a fantastic job. It wasn’t a simple installation, and they did their best to keep disruptions to a minimum. When finished, Jeremy performed a complete walk-through, explaining the final steps needed for some electrical work and the inspection.
Overall, we are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Comfort by Design.

We have an old home and doing big upgrades like that is a pain and they were able to work with us to get that done in the best way possible. Not only that, they were incredibly polite and kind guys that did excellent work. I highly recommend Comfort by Design for their quality work at a competitive price!
Another Shoutout to Jesse, he came out to give the estimate and he was very honest and straightforward about what would work best in our house for the best price.

The first was a several stage Kitchen remodel project (and also to unscrew the previous electrician’s work) and the second was a random batch of electrical upgrades throughout the house. Both experiences were excellent. They were very punctual, knowledgeable, and friendly. The teams were efficient and seemed to have an excellent supply of equipment with as I believe I am a bit of a pain in “adding” last second “ideas” and they were gracious enough to accommodate where possible and educate throughout so I felt the work was collaborative. They also got me scheduled quickly. During the kitchen remodel, since I had other intervening work/steps between the electrical installations they were excellent with communication and follow up. They were also readily available for questions after the work was over. I would definitely recommend. Also, while competency and quality is excellent, I have also really been impressed with the character of the folks I have worked with. They are all super nice, conscientious people, and Joey is awesome. I have zero qualms about them getting work done when I have to step out or be at work myself. Oh and good prices!

Not only was he great with our dogs and very friendly, but knowledgeable and informative. He took the time to listen to my concerns and gave great advice. He even helped fix my “broken” garbage disposal while at the house. I assumed the switch was broken, but he reset the disposal and problem solved! Very impressed with Todd and expect nothing less from the rest of the team when we get the work done.

Ashley McMillon rated it 5/5: Great local company. Our dishwasher wasn't draining so we gave them a call. Irina Primakova was professional, courteous, and got the technician out there that evening.
Like most companies, they gave us a window of arrival. Well, unfortunately the technician had a long day and our window of arrival was about up (3pm-7pm.) Right when we started to assume they may not show we received a call and an email saying that he was running late and could either a) reschedule for tomorrow morning, or b) come around 8pm. We needed the issue resolved asap because this property is a vacation rental. The technician still made it out and diagnosed the issue which we appreciated so much!! The part was ordered within 1 business day. The technician fixed it and charged accordingly. All in all, this experience made me re-trust the work of service technicians. I think as Americans we often feel like, "well, I'll just go buy a new one." But this proved to me that it was worth fixing. No, it's not "cheap" (we spent a total of $229) however, a new, comparable dishwasher would have been $700, plus tax, then the hassle of delivery, getting rid of the old one, new hoses, downtime, etc. In the end, I'm so glad we called Appliance Works.
I don't remember the technician's name, (there's a little bit of a language barrier,) but he was very professional and worked hard.

Sheary Clough Suiter rated it 5/5: The spin cycle on our older model Kenmore washer stopped working. I called Reliable Appliances based on earlier reviews and certainly was not disappointed! (although, I did use their web site email option as the first contact, and when I didn't receive a reply,, I called, got voice mail, and received a prompt call back, and an appointment within a few days was scheduled). I requested a call prior to my window of time in which the repair person would show up, that happened, and repairman Teylor came as scheduled. Honestly, when I first heard Teylor's voice on the phone, I was a bit concerned because he sounded younger than I expected an experienced repair person would be. We are a shoeless home, and so when I offered Teylor booties, he said, how about if I just remove my shoes, and we were off to a great start. As Teylor began to examine the washer, relating to me what he was finding each step of the way, I was super impressed with his skill and knowledge. Gone was any worry that he was too young to have expertise. It was super apparent that he knew and could explain in lay terms exactly what was going on with the washer. Ultimately, hopes of an easy fix were dashed, he was completely honest about the costs to repair versus replace, and when it was evident we needed to shop for a replacement washer, Teylor gave us technical details about the different ways washing machines are built that enabled us to make an informed choice about purchasing a replacement machine. Not only all of that, but Teylor was super friendly and it was very apparent he wanted to help us make the best decisions, not just what was best for him or his boss's company. So grateful to Reliable Appliance for sending Teylor our way. The $88 service fee was well worth the education we received on what to do next (the fee would have been waived if it had made sense to have the repairs done by Reliable Appliance rather than shop for a new machine). I highly recommend if you have an appliance repair need and can't decide whether to repair or buy new, get an evaluation first from this company.

I have a wall-mounted microwave that decided to go bad…right before thanksgiving. Anyway, today, I spoke with Paul. He gave me the best straightforward advice about how to proceed, options to consider, time for parts and repairs, replacement, etc.. He took the time, to make me really understand the options, because it was the right thing to do. I am going to do exactly what he recommended, in the exact steps, call the manufacturer, etc.. If a conversation is in anyway a reflection of the reliability and trustworthiness of a company, research no further. This is a true professional. Mark

Scott Snow rated it 1/5: Servicemen showed up in his own private car. Had no representation of reliable appliance repair. Started taking my machine apart and I told him I didn't want the porcelain cracked. He assured me he wouldn't. I offered to go get him some plastic pry bars that I had in my garage. He said he didn't need him in proceeded on with taking the machine apart. When, Vlod the repairmen looked on his phone to see how to repair and take the unit apart he ended up chipping my unit. Never told me about it until the Sunday morning I walked down and saw what was left of his repair. Paul the manager is not a businessman and offered me $25 for a chipped clothes washer top. Needless to say we didn't get along and I wouldn't have them in my house again. Would not recommend this company they're Bush League!!!
