Bill Rosario rated it 1/5: In July of 2019 I had a new sump pump system installed in my home by Copper Ridge Services for $2,100. Since then Copper Ridge was purchased by Mr. Quick so when my sump pump system failed in April of 2022 I called Mr. Quick and they sent a plumber that same day. Great!
I said to myself. He diagnosed the problem as a faulty primary pump and controller. The solution proposed was a total replacement. Still, no cause for alarm. The surprising part came when he told me the price. $5,761, which was $3,661 or 174% more than I had paid less than 3 years ago for the very same system.

Was it supply chain issues? Inflation? I wasn't sure, but I was decided to find out. So, I politely declined the quote and paid the whopping charge of $373.95 for about 1hr and 20 minutes for the service call. Suspecting price gouging I went to a local plumbing supply store which offered me the same equipment (same brand, same model, same everything) for only $926.56 ($991.40 after tax)and I figured I could get a local plumber to install it thinking it would require a little luck and massive plumbing super-prowess. When I unboxed the system I was shocked to see that the sump pump unit consisting of a primary and backup pumps with a controller system comes already pre-assembled so installation consisted of only attaching the 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe to the check valve in my basement and just connecting the wiring as laid out in the instructions. So I did it myself in about 1 hr and another $30 in pipe primer / glue and supplies. I am scratching my head wondering how Mr. Quick would justify charging $4,739.60 to drive a couple of miles, collect the part from the supply store and spend 1 hr replacing a sump pump system.

I totally get that Mr. Quick is a business for profit and has to make a buck, so I was not expecting them to do something for free or even next to nothing. As customer I expect them to make a reasonable profit. This markup is very far from being reasonable. In fact, it is flat out abusive. This experience sure taught me a lot.

UPDATE: Mr. Quick told me the warranty was for 1 yr (I had purchased the original one from Copper Trace in July 2019) The supply company that sold me the replacement pump system was glad to take the old one back under the 3 yr mfg warranty and credit my purchase back to my card. So I basically fixed this issue for about $30 in supplies and 1 hr of my time. Grrrrr.
Chris Greene rated it 1/5: So had and HVAC unit installed paid for everything out of pocket. When all said and done, the guys finished up and left. Went back to look at the unit and sweep up. Noticed old filter was propped against the wall, went to throw it away and there was a huge hole in the wall where they didn’t seal the intake. After seeing that started to notice more how the flashing didn’t reach top of the ceiling. Mister quick after saying they would refund some of my money for the install sent a guy to fix those issues, and the new installer pointed out more problems. The manager I was talking to then stopped answering my calls, or getting back to me when he said he would personally come out and take a look at the unit and get me some of my money back. Never happened. Have to say not sure if I will ever go back to them, and I would suggest others to look elsewhere as well.
Karl Taylor rated it 1/5: They ROBBED ME!!! Mr. Quik are crooks. Cost $3,555.95 just to install two 100amp main breakers and install 4 copper grounding rods. THEY DID NOT FIX MY PROBLEM!!!! Outside power line was broke and was sending in 240volts in the house!!! Mr. Quik Damaged the wall in installation. Left ground wires above ground. Did a sloppy job like an amateur. Wanted $10,000 to rewire the whole place with new breaker boxes. Duke energy fixed my problem for FREE!!!!!
NOT worth any where near $3000!!!

I'll start with the good news, which is that the wiring that they did works.
Now with the negative. Thus was the sloppiness interior work that I have ever had done and there is permanent damage to a wall that will require drywall repair and repainting. Previous interior work that we have had done (electricians, window replacement, shower door installation, etc) left no signs of any work ever being done. They were meticulous and cleaned up after themselves.
Mr. Sparky was the sloppiest work I have ever seen. It appears that they may have used any other tool besides a saw to make the holes for the wiring. They then tried to cover it up with another electrical plate on one wall and they lusy left it as it was on another. They damaged my paint in other areas.
They also left a huge mess.
Naturally, I called and complained. They sent the technician back out to correct some things, but he couldn't fix giant hole in the wall.
They put me in touch with a general contractor to fix the damage. We are still waiting for the work to get done.

The Tech came to my residence and gave me a thorough explanation of the issues with my system. He made the explanation in plain English and he provided me with a long list of options. He did an excellent job!

His sales rep promptly called me with quotes and detailed explanation of the many things to be done. The price was fair and the promptness of scheduling the installation was awesome! Without qualification I recommend HHAC&P. Prompt, Courteous, Professional and Fair….what they are.

We had used a different repair company that had misdiagnosed the problem before working with Capitan. They ordered the needed parts and repaired the problem. There were a few miscommunications during the process, but Sean and Efficient Systems worked with us to make sure we got exactly what we were needing. The quality of work performed even on certain parts of the job needing revision was top notch. The techs were always on time and professional people to work with. At the end of the job you can trust that Efficient systems will make sure you are taken care of.
Christopher Davis rated it 1/5: Two years ago, the first and, until now, only review I ever wrote was to give Efficient Systems a glowing five-star testimonial. Since then, the head manager, Rob, has left. With his departure most of the talent left as well. I found this all out on my last, and I do mean last, maintenance visit. As part of the service plan I paid for, they come out once a year to service my water heater and HVAC unit. Although several upsetting things happened on this "routine" visit (the water heater flush forced me to go get my water tested because they implied my water softer might have broken , and they actually installed an outside light upside down. Swear to God. Upside down!), I think the following example illustrates best what kind of company they are now.
The air conditioner was working as intended when the very affable technician came over to service it. When he was done, the air conditioner just wouldn't stop. It got down to 54° inside before I had to turn it off all together. Hey, accidents happen. I wasn't worried. When they came back out to fix it, I was charged over $1,000. The new manager explained that "equipment breaks". He maintained vehemently that it was pure coincidence that everthing was fine before their visit and a freezing arctic afterwards.

Two years ago I wrote, "I use Efficient Systems because I don't know anything about plumbing or electrical work. I do know about customer service, and theirs is outstanding. In addition to their reasonable pricing, you won't find a company that cares more about keeping their customers happy." Sadly, those days are gone.

6/24/2022: I utilized David Electric to install my Tesla Wall Connector. Again, the cost was very affordable compared to what Tesla and others quoted me. David hires excellent technicians and I would highly recommend for installing your Tesla wall connector too. Brian the Service delivery manager is easy to work with. Other electricians would not dispatch until after Christmas. I called DAVID Electric, and they had a tech to my house within 2 hours. Adam was great at checking everything and explaining what needed to be fixed. I needed a new disconnect on my furnace unit outside. He checked all the wiring in and outside until everything was reading fully powered. I was afraid this top-notch service was going to result in a huge bill. It was under 300, which I considered a steal. I recommend DAVID Electric for their professional attitude, for their speedy scheduling and for getting the job done in a timely manner. Adam was great at explaining things, stayed steady working, and showed me the completed work. 5 star service at reasonable rates. Pick DAVID Electric!

Isaiah greeted us warmly, addressed all of our questions and concerns, made the needed electrical repairs and did an outstanding job! The ethical standards of Isaiah and David Electric surpassed my expectations. After Isaiah completed the repair that was scheduled he reminded me that he still had a few minutes left as they charge by the hour, and he wanted us to get the full hour of services we paid for. He worked on a timer for one of our lights and then offered to and brought in our trash cans for us. Thank you, Isaiah and David Electric, for providing an outstanding service with the highest morals and ethics for a very reasonable price. We will definitely recommend you to all of our family and friends!

I was initially scheduled with one electrician but they had an emergency. They called prior to my appointment time to let me know that there would be a different electrician coming. I appreciated their communication and responsiveness. I ended up having a fantastic, friendly electrician who was able to come on time, quickly remove my existing ceiling fan and replace it with my new ceiling fan. Great service and will definitely be booking again for all my electrician needs.

Several months ago, we experienced two electrical issues – one with our outdoor driveway lights and another with our electricity to our bedroom. I believe it was Max who came over, and he was outstanding. He was warm, professional, and after kindly greeting our dog and assuring him that he was a safe guest, he quickly got to work. Max inspected the issue, explained the problem clearly, and addressed it. The price was fair, and we haven't had an issue since.

AES told us to call an electrician because they thought it was an inside problem. The technician came in a good time frame and found that the problem was on the power company side. Then the power company said we needed a tag indicating everything was good to go. I called and spoke with Hilary in the office again. She said that we shouldn't need one and would call AES and get any information she could. She promptly called back and said we didn't need a tag and the power company guys were dispatched to our house and should arrive soon. Thanks for going the extra mile.

Jesse went above and beyond checking the system and eventually getting up on the icy and snow covered roof to check and clear debris out of the flute pipe. I would recommend Jesse and CES to everyone in need!

They troubleshot the issue and had my furnace running within the hour. Paid, was supposed to get a receipt sent to my email that evening. I requested a receipt 3 times since and have not received anything and no response after the 1st request.
UPDATE: I have received my receipt for the service of the furnace. I am satisfied and recommend CES Energy.

Don’t post appointment time slots for 9am if you’re not going to show up at 9am. It’s as simple as that. Also, I tried calling the number they left with me and it goes straight to voicemail. Also tried emailing and nothing. Ugh.
