Handyman was able to arrange for someone to come on short notice and worked around my restricted schedule. I had some holes filled, mouldings fastened, sliding doors fixed, painting, etc. The work was done very well and wasn’t rushed.

I was told I needed to make my bathroom handicap friendly so to speak. I had no clue who to call for something like that. And on such short notice as well. So I was speaking with my neighbor, Mr. Schlinke, one day and I told him about my situation. First words out of his mouth where” You should call Dan, he can do absolutely everything involved with residential repair and remodeling” So with no other options on the table, I gave him a call. I think the pictures speak for themselves. Not only did he do an outstanding job as far as quality of work goes, but he worked day and night to get it completed before my wife would come home from rehab. Needless to say, she was thrilled when she got home and saw the new bathroom.

Until you look underneath, and recognized the shoddy work that was done. As one can see from his website, he mainly deals with staining kitchen cabinets and doors. I mistakenly took this piece to Samuel, the business owner, who claimed he was also able to restore antique pieces. However, when it comes to the intricate details of such a job, based on this experience, his work is disappointing, and I highly recommend that you give this business a miss, when it comes to that sort of thing.

Our home was built in 1932. Mr. Cruz came over and he was very respectful and professional. He quoted us a bid to which we agreed to. The repair work was done so fast and so quick and the quality of the repair was beautifully done. He had taken out each stone and put it back together like a puzzle. He was so skilled at his trade that we were totally impressed.

The second job was installing a hand rail on one side of the steps leading out to the backyard. We have other railings around the home as we have a wrap around porch from the front of the home all the way around to west side. The railings that were used when the home was built were cast iron and very intricate. Mr. Cruz traveled around to his suppliers and did everything he could to closely match the 68 year old rails that were put in when the home was built. The rails he found were almost identical and you could barely tell the difference. This right here shows how much he cares about the work that he does.

He installed the rails which meant drilling holes into the concrete steps and that was not an easy task. That concrete had been there for many years. The one important thing that we asked of Mr. Cruz was that the rail was very sturdy as their was a disabled person living with us and the rail extra sturdy. Michael worked hours on that rail with perfect and precise height we had asked for and then went the extra mile with attaching the rail to the brick next to the door. That was ingenious. When he was through that rail wasn’t going anywhere.

Mr. Cruz is very much a believer in Christ and puts the work in like God would want him to. He is meticulous when it comes to making certain his jobs are done to perfection. We were truly blessed to have found him and we have no doubt that we will be using him again in the future.

The rails he found were almost identical and you could barely tell the difference. This right here shows how much he cares about the work that he does.
He installed the rails which meant drilling holes into the concrete steps and that was not an easy task. That concrete had been there for many years. The one important thing that we asked of Mr. Cruz was that the rail was very sturdy as their was a disabled person living with us and the rail extra sturdy. Michael worked hours on that rail with perfect and precise height we had asked for and then went the extra mile with attaching the rail to the brick next to the door. That was ingenious. When he was through that rail wasn’t going anywhere.

Mr. Cruz is very much a believer in Christ and puts the work in like God would want him to. He is meticulous when it comes to making certain his jobs are done to perfection. We were truly blessed to have found him and we have no doubt that we will be using him again in the future.

They were able to match the paint on both walls, and the two different wall textures. It’s perfect! Mr. Cruz let us know every day what was going to be done so we would know what to expect. Excellent communication, impeccable quality. We will use them again in the future.

Was way more proffessional than any other handyman services I have dealt with to this point. Definitely recommend and will only be calling these guys from now on.Plus they are a family business. Way better than supporting these handyman corporations! Price was totally reasonable.

2) provide more granular invoicing – I get time and materials, but what materials exactly, and how much for each bit?
3) Consider monetary milestones – break and discuss with the customer what’s been done, what’s left, timeline, etc. at “major” spend points.
4) advise on actions the customer could take in advance to reduce time required from the crew (with everything so pricey these days, and wages not universally keeping up – consulting on ways to economize can be an important part of discussing the project/s).

Joedy Thurston rated it 5/5: I had a broken oven that turned into kitchen remodeling, which sent me into looking for a handyman, an electrician and a plumber all at once. Chris (the owner) was very honest with what he can and cannot do (and what his insurance would and would not cover.) He personally made sure that his team did the job right and tried hard to get me the licensed professionals I needed for the things that he could not do. Hessler was wonderful in his work and very careful. He was also very diligent in cleaning up afterwards. I only needed a light wipe and mop. While others I’ve spoken to simply told me they couldn’t do it, Chris stuck around and brainstormed with us and didn’t give up. Took a few weeks, but we got the kitchen back in order with the appliances I wanted to fit into it. Chris was also very responsive even late at night. Their hourly rate was reasonable. I was a little confused about the itemized billing, but the overall price felt ok. If you’re looking for a smooth-talking salesman who sugarcoats everything, go elsewhere. But if you want someone who is straight forward and cuts to the chase, then this is the place for you. I am just happy I have my kitchen back. Thanks, Chris and Hessler!
