Strong winds blew off vinyl ceiling soffit on back porch leaving a gaping hole and insulation blowing out of the attic. I remembered seeing Mr. Handyman ads in the Times/Union as Jacksonville’s finest and gave them a call. Lisa answered and was superb in asking pertinent questions, explaining everything, and scheduling next day quote. Another big shout out as a few days later Frank & Bill came out and did an awesome job! The effective communication is terrific because you get text messages of date, time, and even a photo and name of the specialist. The trucks are easily identified as Mr. Handyman with name, logo, and more! In addition to replacing the soffit Frank & Bill replaced the back patio light and the front porch light and strengthened the drooping ceiling. My family and I are completely satisfied and highly recommend Mr. Handyman. We will be calling again as there are some other projects to do. Best of all is the personalized service of getting the Red Carpet Treatment. Being friendly and personable is really nice and we appreciate Mr. Handyman for this. Thanks again Lisa, Frank, and Bill!
Red Varble rated it 5/5: I moved into an unfriendly disability home. Meaning there were no safety bars in bathroom. Ok not everyone is in a wheelchair. But Alan came on time was the nicest person. He had me pretend to “sit on toilet” , stand facing toilet , 2 bars on each side of bathtub and my favorite Moen brand the saftey bar in tub/shower. The place we are renting from said not even nail holes in the house. But, my safety and not being afraid every single time I use the bathroom is Important. The saftey bars are pretty and will leave when our lease is up. Each bar supports 300-400 pounds and the tech used huge anchors!
Highly recommend this service. You can count below – he installed 6 safety bars with giant anchors. The safety bars have shelves / glass shelves and the towel bar is a safety pull bar too! It looks great!

Scheduling was easy. While the work was 5-star, it was quite expensive so I’d likely not use their service again. Even with a coupon for $25 off, the 90 minutes of work cost us over $500. If I passed on the high-cost service, I still would have been charged for the estimate. Overall, great work but far too pricey to refer them or use this service again.

As you can imagine, several generations of use meant the finish was scarred and the drawers on the bureaus didn’t slide anymore. From the first time we contacted them, Suzanne was the best communicator with whom we had worked. She was clear about scheduling, pricing and time that would be required to do the work. There was a “waiting line” and now we know why. Their work is exemplary. The staff in the shop were wonderful, helping us unload and then reload the pieces into our truck but they will deliver, if needed. We were so pleased with the work we asked them to re-line the sliding cover on an antique roll-top desk. Again, their work was wonderful and reasonably priced. We would highly recommend them.

When it was finished I was more than satisfied with the end product; so much so, I immediately reached out to have my other 2 pieces refurbished. Absolutely love my bedroom set, it’s beautiful!

Christian worked to fix counter round that had been added to 3 transition areas improperly and had bothered me for some time. He also leveled a misaligned floating shelf. Christian was very professional and focused and resolved these small issues without issue though it took longer than anticipated because of how it was originally installed. Ace is quickly becoming my go to resource and I will definitely use them again! Either Kyle or Christian would be welcomed again in my home for any future projects I might have. Thanks again for another job well done!

It had a hideous refinished, flaking cast iron tub. We scheduled a time to discuss what we wanted to do. The quote from Honey Do was reasonable, and slightly less than I anticipated. Upon agreeing to the work, we paid half and the work was scheduled. It took a bit longer to finish the job, but there were no surprises. The bathroom is so much nicer and much more usable for a family member in a wheelchair. The quality of workmanship was great. Much attention was paid to the details. We are very pleased. Will certainly use them again for our next project.

Ray did a great job and was very efficient. Will definitely use again and highly recommend. I have already started my “Honey Do” list!

We had several bumps along the way which totally stressed me out as this was my first reno. Most of these were not a result of workmanship and had to do with some unexpected quirks of our cabinets. However, shanna (owner) PERSONALLY ensured our issues were resolved and everything was taken care of, no matter how long it took.

Luckily, the cabinets were high quality – we just didn’t like the outdated color and hardware. Shanna and her crew were professional and great to with. Their work was meticulous and they used the best paint and materials available. Our cabinets look like new. Everyone who sees the kitchen is amazed at how great they look.

I found Brian’s pricing to be very reasonable given the effort that it would take to cut the attic access and then install some attic flooring. Brian showed up promptly each day, took great care to protect the area he was working in, and cleaned up each day before leaving. I have to say, Brian is one of the cleanest, most considerate contractors I have ever worked with. Overall, I was extremely impressed with Brian’s work, he completed the project on time and exactly as quoted. I would highly recommend Brian for any project and will be using him again in the future.

Adam did an amazing job “stretching” out the queen head- and foot-board pieces and perfect matching it to the side pieces. It is impossible to tell that it was originally queen-sized. Perfect, and we love it!

Although the original headboard was queen-sized, Adam did a great job matching the side rails of the bed frame and attaching them to the original headboard. Now, you would never know the bed frame has been modified. My son loves his new queen size bed.
